Concise history of the Anti-Masonic Party. An interesting phenomen in American politics, which produced some of the larger names in American politics.
The Anti-Masonic Party like the Prohibition Party had much support from diverse christian sects, unlike in other countries with homogenous christian denominations and proportional representation where there are/were specific parties for their believes. Looks like christians are so diverse in America that they only can agree one single-issue politics.
The tone is not sensationalist alarmist as you would expect from current political scientists about non-traditional parties.
