Sinds haar prille jeugd is de echte wereld ondergeschikt aan wat haar fantasie haar te bieden heeft. Ze brengt graag tijd alleen door, denkend aan de dingen die nog ongeschreven in haar hoofd schuilen.
Schrijven doet ze het liefst thuis, op een rustig plekje en in gezelschap van haar kat Toulouse. Je vindt haar daar ook achter de piano, of met een boek in de hand.
Ze houdt van Midden-Aarde, chocolade, de geur van boeken, oude dingen, het geluid van regen, bibliotheken, notitieboeken en katten.
Naast schrijven maakt Emmelie ook lid uit van de band Solitude Within en werkt ze part-time in Brussel.
