This is a Milo and Eddie book. Milo the monkey and Eddie the Elephant are friends in the Savanna. They play together as best friends and work together on the Savanna when they need to. And in this story they go to the watering hole to get a drink. But the water is a yucky color and it tastes horrible as well. The other animals hadn't really pay attention but then once they did they didn't want to drink it either. But Eddie remembers there is a filtering system and so all the elephants get together and use the filtering system to make the water ready to drink again. BUT they still see new stuff in the water. And find bottles in the water... so they follow it and realize that the zebras are taking a bath in their watering hole! They don't realize they are damaging the water with their chemicals and trash. This story helps teach children the importance of not throwing trash around AND what chemicals will do to water. Both my special needs teenage boys and my 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed listening to this story and looking at the wonderful illustrations too.
