Make a peace treaty with your body.

It is such an interesting thing to realise that many of our psychological situations have their roots in our physical being and that the interaction between our mental condition and physical is strong and often without us realizing. The author of this workbook shows how you can deal with anxiety, fatigue, or the survival mode we often regress to. This book The Vagus Nerve Reset, is a practical workbook with simple exercises and a 30-day plan to calm anxiety, restore balance, and reconnect with your body, and to me they seem doable and those I have tried are helpful. It is a good support for you in your peace treaty with your body by following the exercises offered in the book.

The favor you'll do to yourself

It's natural to judge people who have panic attacks, anxiety, rage or shutdown due to vagus nerve dysfunction. I've done it while having VND myself - like, I should be able to talk myself out of it because I am a rational, intelligent person. The book explains why that is not possible and what actually works. It's a treasure trove of stuff that helps you in the here and now no matter what your SOS situation. Not only the affected person, but friends and family should read it. You'll buy the Kindle version and then the paperback one to write in it, guaranteed. It's very readable for a person affected by vagus nerve dysfunction.

This is indeed a practical guide/workbook that takes you through reset steps. The strategies are easy to understand and while not simple to implement, it does seem possible to do. However, this is not a book with much information about the vagus nerve—the explanations are basic and mostly there for context.
