This book has it all! Suspense, mystery, stalkers, best friend's dad, spicy involvement, and second guessing happiness.

Bridgette is Eden's best friend. She's staying in Eden's apartment while she's getting herself back on her feet. Frank is Eden's father, and the owner of the building that the bakery and apartment are in. He's also very protective.

Bridgette's ex boyfriend has just gotten out of prison and is causing trouble for her. Frank doesn't like it and takes steps to protector her, even though she doesn't want his help and fights him on it. But they soon realize the ex isn't the only thing they're fighting, they're also fighting feelings for each other. Things won't stay forbidden for long.

Oh wow. I read this as an ARC read.
it was so much fun. The MMC Frank is the father of the FMC Bridgette's best friend.
Bridgette was in a bad relationship that she got out of and was in hiding so he couldn't find her. When he got out of prison he found her and Frank was there to help protect her. She didn't like it at first but then they both started getting feelings for each other. There is a 20 year age gap.
The ex found her and started sending her things as messages. She didn't want them and wasn't happy about them.
She could always know that Frank was going to show up and be there for her safety.
I loved this book. It was very well written and the story was awesome.
Highly recommended.

Forbidden, only if you think so

Is it forbidden or just that society judges? I loved that he wanted to protect her, even when she didn’t want him to. The tension when she hears her ex is out of prison, the texts, the gifts from the ex that rattled her, Frank was still there. Love that burns slow, and shows up. Highly recommend especially if you have or are going through the same thing.

The storyline draws you in gradually. Helping his daughter’s best friend with a problem. Struggles against the attraction that draws him closer to a line he shouldn’t cross.
Characters that draw you into the story that and invite you into their romance.
The best way to settle into a comfortable chair and fall in love.
