When Kelly Mitchell returns to her hometown to tend to her sick mother and lick her wounds after divorce, she bumps into her old flame, Drew Dawson. Turns out the guy she shared a hot, two-week fling with in the summer of 1992 still has more than a few fond memories of Kelly - as well as some unfinished business he'd like to attend to. Kelly must decide whether it's worth it to rekindle a former spark or let it burn out - and Drew seems to want to stoke the flames. With nothing to lose and every reason to want to make something out of an otherwise miserable holiday, will Kelly go for it?
L.E. Chamberlin is a foodie and former librarian who never returns her library books on time. She has a weakness for all things British, including cream teas, Wellies, fish & chips and the full spectrum of scrumptious accents. An aficionado of steamy romances, she wrote her first one at age thirteen and still has all eighty-six handwritten pages of it in a box under her bed.
These are a few of her favorite things, in no particular order: Men with hot hands and cool heads. Pinterest (come pin hot tattooed boys with me!). Coffee. FMPs. Ink. Craft beer. Key West, FL. Big, slobbery dogs. British accents. Gingers. Singer/songwriters of the 1970s. Traveling. Love, sweet love.
Ninety-Two, Redux is a very fun and quick read. I am not a fan of one-shots, but it was enjoyable. I wanted to know where the couple went from there. More more.. :) I liked the characters and the author did a good job of fleshing them and the story out within it's compact form. So if short and steamy is your thing, I recommend LE Chamberlin's story. *I received a copy in exchange for an honest review"
Totally cute and extremely realistic novella. It's usually hard to have a believable interaction between two characters in such a short story but this author pulls it off big time. I absolutely loved this story; it was funny, sweet and SERIOUSLY sexy. I can't get over how much I loved both characters; their interactions and conversations just put a huge smile on my face. As a 36 year old divorced mother of 4 this short story made me feel all warm and fuzzy and hopeful.
This was a quick read and surprisingly thorough considering what a quickie it was. The characters were well formed and the seedy times were hot as hell!
