In a thought-provoking and spirited dialogue on contemporary issues, two women on opposite sides of the political spectrum--one Democrat, one Republican--critically analyze and debate ten important issues confronting modern women, including reproductive rights, taxes, crime and violence, education, equal pay and benefits, and child care. Reprint.
Really enjoyed the format of this book. Both of the authors (one a democrat and one a republican) discussed their views on ten topics. At the end of each chapter the was a list of groups to join if one wanted to get involved. A good read in this election year.
It is an entertaining and thought-provoking read, but I had to read it maybe a chapter per week, or I'd get too frustrated. Perry is so conservative it made me want to puke, but Malveaux and her brand of liberalism didn't make me feel much better.
