Blood & Conquest: A Vampire Romantasy

Rate this book
Konstantin wants war. And he's using everyone I love to start it.

Maximus and I have a bond so deep it terrifies the ancients who've been ruling for centuries. We have allies willing to fight. We have each other.

Konstantin wants to change that.

He doesn't just want territory. He wants to control what Maximus and I have. The bond. The marks. The power that shouldn't exist between a vampire and the fledgling everyone underestimated.

He's willing to break us apart to get it.

My powers are changing. Growing into something I can't predict and can't always control. I should be their greatest weapon.

Instead, I'm their greatest fear.

And when Konstantin makes his move, he doesn't come for me with soldiers. He comes for the thing I can't fight without. The thing I never imagined I could lose.

He expects me to shatter.

He doesn't know me very well.

Fated Bond • Bonded Couple in Crisis • Touch Her and Die (He Means It) • Power Awakening • Who Did This to You • Possessive MMC Unhinged • Badass FMC Unleashed • Slow Burn to Inferno 🔥 Spicy

This book jumps right back into the action with Celeste and Maximus, and even though it took me a little while to fully get into the groove, I ended up having a really good time with it. Once things picked up, I was hooked again.

One of my favorite parts was the scenes where the FMC uses her magic to literally suspend people in the air. Those moments were written so vividly that I could picture everything perfectly in my head…it felt almost cinematic.

Overall, it was a fun continuation of their journey, and now I’m definitely curious to see where everything goes in book three.

Loved this the second book in the series Crimson Crescent series! More action, more high stakes than the 1st book! Please read the first book before this or you won't understand everything. So hard to review without spoilers lol. Celeste unlocks more of her modifications that Konstantin did to her, struggles with controlling her power. Shes determined to find and save her sister Simone that Konstantin kidnapped. The Slow burn between Celeste and Maximus is 🔥 and thier bonds deepens even more! The world building is still amazing you feel like you're there and the new characters and new supernatural beings not just vampires. Want to know you'll have to read to find out! Cantbwait for book 3!

Thank you Taloria Pryce for the arc to book 2 cant wait for book 3!

ARC Review

Returning to this world was like stepping straight back into the storm.

The stakes are higher, the danger closer, and every choice matters. Alliances shift, plans unfold, and the tension never lets up. Amidst all the chaos, the emotional core shines — a quiet steadiness and connection grounds the story even as everything around them escalates.

Action, intrigue, and just the right amount of spice make this installment impossible to put down. By the final pages, it’s clear the story is far from over — and we can’t wait for what’s next.

This book picks up right where the first one ends. And it hit the ground running. The action is even more intense than the first. I love the direction this is heading in. Celeste and Maximus are by far my fave characters. Io I’ve that the description to this is so vivid, I feel like I was on this journey with them. Side by side, going through the motions. I love the depth, it’s just so rich and really keeps you wanting to turn the pages. I’m so invested! I can’t wait for the next book.

ARC Review - I am so in love with this series! Max and Celeste are couple's goals to me. The action is non-stop and the bond/heart beat is to die for! I love how Max just watches Celeste as she comes into more of her power. As scary as the power is, he remains calm and steadfast in his love. Konstantinos is the villain we all can't wait to see fall! I'm loving this wild ride, and can't wait for Book 3!

Book two of the Crimson Crescent series follows our ever FMC through more heartache and battles she has to overcome. She remains ever stubborn in the best way through everything thrown at her. This story is more action packed and added to the world by adding fae, shifters, and witches.
I’m excited to see where book 3 takes us.

Blood & Conquest is the second book in the Crimson Crescent series, and I was beyond excited to jump back in after the cliffhanger ending of book one.

The storyline expands beautifully in this book, introducing new characters and supernatural beings that I absolutely loved; Shifters, Witches, and Fae all add depth and richness to the world. It made the universe feel bigger and more dangerous in the best way.

We follow Celeste and Maximus as they navigate a world shaped by their worst enemy, and the tension never lets up. This book kept me turning the pages because I had to know what would happen next. Even with all the action, the story makes time for quieter, sweeter moments that reveal more about the characters’ pasts and deepen their connections.

Cannot wait for book 3!

⭐ ARC REVIEW ⭐

Blood & Conquest - Expected Release Date: 10th March.

After finishing Blood & Conquest, I can confidently say this sequel raises the stakes in every possible way. Taloria Pryce takes everything that worked in book one and turns the tension, danger, and emotional intensity up several levels.

Celeste is stronger, more volatile and more dangerous than ever and watching her struggle to control powers that seem determined to consume her makes every chapter feel charged with urgency. Her determination to find and save her sister adds a constant ticking-clock tension to the story, while the threat of Konstantin looms over everything like a shadow waiting to strike.

And Maximus? Still absolutely everything I want in a dark romantasy MMC. Ancient, lethal, controlled…until it comes to Celeste. The dynamic between them continues to simmer with that delicious slow-burn tension that feels like it could ignite at any moment. Watching the bond between them deepen while they’re navigating war, betrayal, and dangerous secrets makes every interaction feel electric.

The world-building expands beautifully in this installment. The vampire politics grow more complex, alliances feel fragile, and every revelation seems to come with consequences. There’s action, intrigue and plenty of high-stakes moments but what really keeps you hooked is the emotional core of the trust being built, the loyalty tested, and the sense that everything could unravel at any moment.

My View: This book perfectly balances intense action, dark romance and expanding mythology. The pacing keeps you turning pages, the tension between the lead main characters is nothing short of addictive and the stakes feel higher with every chapter. Powerful FMCs, ancient possessive MMCs, vampire politics and a slow burn that feels like it’s heading toward an explosion…you need this book on your TBR immediately.

This series just keeps getting better and now I’m desperately waiting to see what happens in book three.

Disclaimer: While I am entirely thankful to Taloria Pryce for trusting me with her book and including me on her ARC team.

Blood & Conquest is a thrilling and richly layered continuation of the Crimson Crescent series. Taloria Pryce deepens the world of intrigue, power, and passion with a story that feels darker, sharper, and even more emotionally intense than before.

The vampire romantasy elements are beautifully balanced — seductive yet dangerous, romantic yet ruthless. The political tension and power struggles elevate the story beyond simple romance, creating high stakes that keep the pages turning. Every alliance feels fragile, every decision carries weight, and the atmosphere hums with underlying threat.

The chemistry between the leads is electric, but what makes it compelling is the emotional complexity. Trust is not easily given, loyalty is tested, and love must survive in a world shaped by ambition and bloodshed. Both characters show strength and vulnerability, making their bond feel earned rather than inevitable.

The pacing is strong, blending action, romance, and intrigue seamlessly. As Book 2, it expands the series’ mythology while delivering a satisfying arc of its own.

I’d recommend this to readers who love dark romantasy, morally complex characters, political intrigue, and passionate, high-stakes romance with a gothic edge.

A powerful and addictive sequel that raises the bar for the series.

There is something about vampire romantasy that always pulls me in, and Blood & Conquest absolutely scratched that dark, addictive itch for me. From the first chapter I was drawn into a world filled with danger, ambition, and the intoxicating pull of power.

What I really enjoyed about this book was the atmosphere. It has that deliciously dark tone that vampire stories do so well—secrets, tension, and the constant sense that no one is entirely trustworthy. The political intrigue and power struggles added another layer that made the story feel bigger than just the romance.

The romance itself was intense and full of tension. I loved the push and pull between the characters, especially the moments where loyalty and desire collided. Those kinds of emotional stakes always make a story more compelling, and this book definitely delivered on that front.

The pacing slowed slightly in the middle for me, which is the only reason this lands at four stars instead of five, but the story picked back up and kept me invested until the end.

Overall, Blood & Conquest is a dark, seductive romantasy with vampires, power plays, and a romance that keeps you hooked. If you love morally grey characters, dangerous attraction, and a world where love and power are constantly at war, this is definitely one to add to your TBR.

Blood and Conquest by Taloria Pryce is the second book in the Crimson Crescent series

First, I want to thank Taloria and her team for giving me an ARC to read and review.

Blood and Conquest picks up where the first book left off. I had to reread the last chapter of book one to refresh my memory. I loved seeing the main character unlock more of her modifications and powers and the action scenes and new characters introduced. I could easily picture the scenes as I read them. The writing style and cover design are also captivating.

If you’re considering reading this series, I recommend starting from the beginning as everything will make sense. I was thrilled to return to this world.

Overall, I’m eagerly looking forward to book three.

Wow I didn’t think this series could get any better thankfully I was wrong. Absolutely loved this second book. It picks back up we left book 1 and continues with more drama and intrigue and few funny moments can’t say too much without spoilers. Can’t wait for book 3.
