This book hooked me fast. The suspense, the bodyguard trope, and the slow-burn chemistry were all done so well. Evie is smart and quietly strong, and Dr. Frost is peak grumpy, protective MMC energy.
The danger felt real, the tension was 🔥, and I flew through it. If you love protective heroes, smart heroines, and a romance with high stakes, this one’s absolutely worth the read.

I love a good romantic suspense storyline. Throw in a broody bodyguard and lovable bee keeper and it's a fun time. Evie and Benjamin's chemistry and banter was so much fun. They are drawn to each other and soon find it hard to stay away. Devon writes amazing characters that the reader connects with so well.

Gaaah! This book was such a perfect addition to this standalone connected series. Now, usually Devon's books hit us straight with the romcom and the suspense just kind of surprise attacks us like a ninja, but this book somewhat reverses that aspect. Eve, your unassuming apiarist is being hunted and only Frost, our play boy plastic surgeon is the only one around to step in and keep her safe. You'll laugh from chapter one, and you may cry depending on your triggers on how easy you cry. One thing is for certain, you'll never want to put it down.

P.S. I love how there are cameos from other characters we love as well in all her books. Thats my favorite part of "stand-alone connected series."

This hilarious and spicy story with a touch of thriller has a bee keeper in danger and a handsome doctor attempting to act as her body guard. The banter is top notch, and the touches of family and friendship are excellent. Triggers: violence, sex and spice, death mentioned, ptsd trauma

Story: 4 ⭐
Spice: Mid Spice, open door, Explicit
Narration: 4⭐

This book was read in a dual style narration with 2/povs. Most of the time it is with our FMC. The narrators were Erik Bloomquist and Leanne Woodward. I really enjoyed listening to them bring Devon's story to life. If I did have some criticism to say, it would be during Erik's parts. The first half you could hear him take breaths in a distracting way but by the second half I didn't notice it. It's why I docked a star for the overall narration.

If you have been around for a minute, you know I love Devon Atwood's books. They are Rom-Coms with dash of peril. This one was no different. I really enjoyed Evie's character. She was raised a very sheltered life by being home schooled and living on a remote farm. She's just so innocent and sunshine. It made me smile a lot because she doesn't understand social cues very well and she's very obviously to sarcasm.

When Evie is forced to take a bodyguard to protect her life, she was not expecting Dr. Frost to be the front runner as they just met.

If you are a fan of rom-com thrillers, bodyguard trope, teach me moments, instalove, banter, fun side characters and character cameos from her other books then check this one out!

There could be some big triggers in this book: Death of parents and death of a sibling, assault.

Tease Me, Doc
Devon Atwood
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
🌶🌶🌶

@devonatwoodwrites NEVER disappoints. Her romcoms (with a side of danger) always have me laughing out loud, on the edge of my seat, AND blushing.

Tease Me, Doc is no exception. Part of the Kismet series (all doctor romances), this book has an ex military surgeon who becomes the bodyguard of an adorable bee keeper.

They are adorable....and Filthy. And I love them so much. Frost is probably my favorite of all the MMCs in this series, but i feel like that changes with every book 😂😂

Highly recommend this to those who like spice, grumpy sunshine, bodyguards, and forced proximity!

Tease Me, Doc is the fourth part of the Kiss-Met series by Devon Atwood. This series is made of standalones and this book is my first introduction to the series.
Devon Atwood created a lovely story with a hint of spice. I really enjoyed the storyline, but couldn't help but see the plotholes. I was hoping for a lovely ending to the storyline, but was sad to see it end with an amazing eqilogue and a major plothole. Nevertheless, I did really enjoyed reading Tease Me, Doc. The spicy, medical aspects and bees are there, however I feel like this book could have been better if there was a bit more depth of the characters and if the plotholes were fixed.

⭐ 4.5
🌶️ 2.5
🥵 Spicy Chapters: 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 29
❤️‍🔥 Swoon Factor: 2.5
📚 Tropes/Themes: forced proximity, golden retriever MMC, protective MMC, he falls first and harder, spicy lessons, romantic suspense, bodyguard
👀 Single POV 1st person
💔 Triggers: stalking, assault, minor medical content, PTSD

💬I just devoured this book, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a good place to start this review that isn't a summary, so instead here's various sentences about my thoughts:

(Maybe this is just a vibes review 😅)

🩺 Well, I thought Rook was my fave doc but clearly it's Frost 😍
🩺 Marshmallow is the cutest nickname
🩺 Tessa 😂 (although I do sense a little shade towards homeschooling)
🩺 I freaking love their banter, it's hilarious and so adorable, and the way he is just overcome by her lol
🩺 I just love both MCs too- Evie is just so sweet and endearing. And Bennnnnn 🫦
🩺 Probably not going to word this well but there was more action than I expected (not spicy action) The whole point of the story is Ben protecting her so I was (pleasantly) surprised at how many times she was attacked. I get how that sounds!! I just mean he wasn't "perfect" at keeping her safe, it gave it a more authentic vibe.

My biggest complaint is that I went into this thinking the book was about different people- specifically the morally gray contractors that have been mentioned in previous books, so I wish there'd been a little recap early on in the book.

It took me FOREVER to figure out who Ben was (he's intro'd in Marry Me, Doc) and that Evie ISN'T the woman that was called to help with stuff throughout the series (I think that's Azure, but in my head In thought it was Tabitha)

But that's on me, and I still loved this book so I def recommend it.

My GOD I love Frost.
That could be the whole review. FROST 10/10!!!!

As always, the characters have the best banter, the best connections and the best silly little things that you’d miss if you read too fast (like I do and I missed the first mention of marshmallow and had to go back).

I was sucked in very early on, as I always am with these books! This is another incredible romance with a little forced proximity, a little ‘forbidden’ romance, appearances from previous books (hello Ghost, we missed you!), a clumsy FMC who really just never lets herself EXIST… and it is just so perfect.

I am so thankful to be a part of Devon Atwood’s street team and to get an early peek at this book!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, and I loved it! This story had me kicking my feet and giggling while also keeping me on the edge of my seat.
Frost & Evie’s chemistry was so good—their banter was hilarious, and watching Frost melt for Evie was everything. The suspense surrounding Evie being tracked kept the tension high and made this impossible to put down.
Nan and Tessa were absolute gems and added so much warmth and humor to the story.
A perfect mix of romance, banter, and suspense. Highly recommend! 💛🐝

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4 / 5)

Devon Atwood’s Tease Me, Doc is a slow-burning, sensory, and psychologically acute exploration of desire, control, and the messy places where they meet.

The kind of book that insists on being felt before it can be explained.
Evie’s interior life is rich and haunting; the novel lingers long after the last page.

Devon Atwood builds a slow, electric atmosphere where sensation and psychology braid together: precision sensory detail, raw interiority, and scenes that pry open the characters’ wounds until you can hear them pulse.

Evie is rendered with rare intimacy—her contradictions, defenses, and small betrayals feel lived-in and vital.

The tension between desire and medical authority is handled with narrative intelligence, so the pages whisper more than they shout.

What I loved (strengths):

Sensory precision: Touches, breaths, faces—Atwood writes tactile moments that make the reader physically present in each scene.

Voice-driven intimacy: Close focalization and interior monologue give Evie a fully realized inner landscape; we don’t just observe her, we inhabit her.

Masterful slow-burn pacing: The novel rewards patience—tension accumulates, layers unpeel, and payoff arrives with emotional weight.

Psychological depth: Motivations and vulnerabilities are explored with nuance; the narrative reads like a careful psychological case study without losing its heart.

Power-dynamics as plot engine: The relationship between authority and need is used to probe consent, complicity, and the ethics of desire in a way that feels deliberate and unsettling.

Structural control: Long, immersive scenes are balanced by sharper, tighter passages that snap the reader back into attention when needed.

Emotional honesty: The novel doesn’t sentimentalize its characters; it lets them be messy, culpable, tender, and terrifying all at once.

Constructive note:
At times the ambiguity around consent and power risks being read as murky rather than provocatively complex. Tightening a few moments of explicit consent (without dulling the tension) would clarify authorial intent and strengthen the ethical core of the story.

If you love this book, you probably crave:
Slow-burn psychological fiction, sensory-led prose, morally complicated relationships, taut interiority, and stories that leave you thinking about a single scene for days.

Content warnings: explicit sexual content, power dynamics / authority relationships, and scenes implying physical harm.

Recommended for mature readers.

My thanks to Devon Atwood for the ARC.
I appreciated the trust in early readers; this review represents my genuine, unfiltered response to the novel.

📚 Book # 4 in the "Kiss-Met" interconnected Standalone Series
📗 Touch Me, Doc
📘 Marry Me, Doc
🗣️ Dual POV
🖤 M/F

I didnt think it was possible, since I loved Gemma & Knox so much but it happened...Benjamin & Evelyn won me over and are my favorite Kiss-Met couple. There was just sooo much good banter between Benjamin & Evie that you couldnt help but laugh out loud.
"You planted your face on my penis Evelyn. What did you think would happen?" 😂

The fact that Evelyn is immune to sarcasm and its literally Benjamin's first language leaves for honestly such good quotes, I really had a hard time picking. Add to that, Nan & Tessa and it was a good time from start to finish. I really loved how quirky Evelyn's family is and how Benjamin fit right in with them
."Big fan of whatever is wrong with you, kid" I said dryly. "Says the creepy girl-watcher," she shot back before leaving"

The spin on why Evie is in danger is actually so perfect. It fresh and quirky like Evie and gives the best plot for Benjamin to show us he's more than just a playboy, that theres substance and baggage from his military time that has made him the way that he is. I loved getting to see the group chat between the Dr bros continue, but I honestly wish there was more of it. It also sets us up nicely to get Nash's story after his unbelievable heartbreak.

I loved this book, which honestly isnt a surprise since I have liked all the Kiss-Met book thus far. Devon is a one click author for me, for sure and I want to thank her for allowing me to ARC read the past 3 books in this series. It gets me so excited when I see she's written a new book, I get to devour in about a day 😊

If the below tropes are ones that interest you, and your first language is sarcasm I highly recommend that you give this book a chance, you wont be disappointed!

Tropes:
🐝 Quirky FMC
💉 Reluctant Bodyguard
🐝 FMC is an Apiarist
💉 Bodyguard MMC
🐝 Lovable Side Characters
💉 Former Playboy
🐝Charm Resistant FMC

This installment of Kiss-Met features a clumsy beekeeper falling into the strong arms of flirty ladies man. Dr. Ben Frost is full of flirty innuendos which throws innocent, sheltered Evie Hathaway for a loop. Their budding romance is a delightful sight against the backdrop of a perilous situation. Evie finds herself ensnared in a dangerous game where contestants must steal a sample of her blood to progress. With no one to assist her, Ben reluctantly assumes the role of her bodyguard and later becomes her teacher… 😉

Guest appearance of Ben’s residency friends and their SOs are fun for return readers but not enough to cause confusion for new readers. The bromance banter is fun as always.

Evie brings Tessa, a sassy and quirky cousin and their Nan and her love for trashy 80s romance novels and ideas. The story is told with dual POV.

The game and attacks on Evie were unbelievable but adds suspense and danger to the story which makes it more than a typical beautiful, innocent rural girl meets distinguished, gorgeously attractive, city doctor romance. I wouldn’t necessarily say there is an overarching plot but there is an underlying overarching backstory that I look forward to knowing more about. Azure and Ghost lends a helping hand. But probably before we get to that Wells needs a lady.

This is my fifth book by Devon Atwood. Her stories are entertaining and captivating, keeping me well-distracted. This Kiss-Met series offers a fresh take on doctor books, perfect for those who enjoy the doctor theme but seek more than the typical doctor-patient trope.

Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to Devon Atwood for providing me with an ARC, which allows me to read the book and voluntarily provide an unbiased review.

first i want to say thank you to devon atwood and her team for letting me arc read for her again! tease me, doc was such a cute and easy read, and i really enjoyed it. i loved the storyline and all of the character interactions. having the main plot not fully centered around the romance actually made this book even better. i liked that it wasn’t overly lovey-dovey and had a semi-suspenseful aspect to it.

i really liked evie. she’s your typical stubborn, independent fmc, protective of the people she loves and willing to put herself in danger (literally) to save them. but what i appreciated most was that she had a past that shaped her into who she is. her actions made sense because they were rooted in her experiences.

frost tried to come off as this stone-cold, protective killer type, but deep down he was actually soft and mushy. she may have fallen into his arms, but he definitely fell first. i loved that he offered to be her temporary bodyguard and really didn’t trust anyone besides himself to keep evie safe.

tessa and nan absolutely made this book for me. they had me laughing nonstop. especially tessa, she went full force and truly did not care what anyone had to say back to her. her comebacks were quick, sharp, and hilarious, especially during her back-and-forth with frost. nan wasn’t as quick as tessa, but she was still witty and had me laughing the whole time.

overall, i really enjoyed this one. it was a cute, quick read that kept me entertained and constantly wanting to know what happens next. i also loved seeing cameos from characters in the other books and how all their worlds intertwine. i’ve read the first book in the series and now the fourth, you can definitely read these as standalones but if you want the full experience of how everyone’s stories connect, i’d recommend reading all of them. i know i’ll be going back to catch up on the ones i missed.

Tease Me, Doc is the 4th installment in the Kiss-Met series, and Dr. Ben Frost becomes the latest member of the residency group chat to meet his match. And it comes in the form of a preternaturally clumsy beekeeper named Evie.

When Evie's super rare Rh null blood becomes the target of a dark web game, Frost finds himself as the only person available to guard her. Their forced proximity quickly leads to sparks that rapidly grow into feelings.

I loved all the characters in Tease Me, Doc. Though it's not explicitly stated, Evie is written very neurodivergent coded: her poor proprioception, her inability to grasp social cues, etc. But she has a quiet, steady strength and is willing to do anything to protect her cousin and Grandma. Even though he initially appears to have an icy shell, Frost is a big softie for those he loves, and Evie and her family quickly work their way under that shell. Evie's cousin is an adorable ball of chaos and I absolutely want to be Evie's Grandma when I get old because she's a smut novel reading hoot. 😆

This might my favorite of the series and I had so much fun advance reading it. ❤️

If there’s one thing Devon can guarantee it’s writing an intense, tension fuelled rom-com that will always have you rooting for the couple and Tease me, Doc is no different.

Evie is shy and quiet, used to thriving on her own in her little Apiary bubble. Whilst, Dr. Ben Frost is known to be a detached playboy fuelled by charm and flirting.

Add a dangerously unhinged game to the mix and the duo are now thrust into a new routine as Frost steps in to protect her. But can they survive the undeniable pull between them or are they simply too ensnared to resist?

I adored the banter and dynamics between Evie and Ben. The way Ben’s flirting and innuendos would throw Evie through a loop, the way her sunshine presence injected hope into his avoidant lifestyle.

I thoroughly enjoyed this read, not only for the dynamic of the main characters but for the unexpected setting and the lovingly chaotic side characters.

So if you like your romances to be grumpy x sunshine, high stakes, forced proximity and slow burn tension, this book is absolutely for you.

ARC Review:

5/5⭐️, 2/5🌶️

-Bee Farm
-He Saves Her
-Ex Playboy
-Bodyguard
-First Person POV: Dual

Holy mother of a pearls. I need a second to piece together some words. Because damn this was amazing. I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump later but from the second I picked this up I couldn’t put it down. Evie and Ben are the cutest of all time. She literally falls into his arms and they never let each other go. But it a way it was also so action packed. I was sitting on the edge of my seat for three quarters of the book. Not knowing what was coming next made it an even better read. And Ben’s lessons for Evie, those were fantastic 😉. I could also real about Evie and her Bees for days. She’s really something special. But I think Nan was the icing on the cake. She’s just such a witty lady and I loved her.

Check the TW’s prior to reading.
Otherwise I had such an amazing experience with this book and I highly recommend!!

This might actually be my fav Devon Atwood book so far!

Dr. Frost is the self proclaimed casual date kinda guy. Until the fully relatable, clumsy damsel literally falls into his arms…. But not for the reasons you think.

Evelyn is a bee farmer who is doing some work with Dr. Wells who is best buds with Frost. Earlier in the day, Evie was given some startling gossip that turned out to be ruthlessly true.

Frost being the good guy, begrudgingly becomes Evie’s bodyguard, but things quickly take another turn.

Can I just say that the sh*t soup scene is going to live rent free for a very long time! 🤣.

Evelyn’s little cousin Tessa just might be the unsung hero of the story though - RIIIIISSSSEEEE MY DEMON!

The banter, the sass, the stress…. The spice!!!!
10/10!

Devon did it again. I couldn’t put this down.

I absolutely love the slow burn and body guard trope of this book. The internal struggles that both have with being happy and thinking they don’t deserve to be happy or that they don’t want a relationship was portrayed so well. I loved the fun banter back and forth. Devon has a way of making things fun and realistic.

While it can certainly be read as a standalone, I find the story so much better having read the previous in this world. Having read the other books it made moments and characters in the book have more meaning and depth to them.

Absolutely a book I would recommend to others! Loved being able to arc read this book and that there was no expectation of a review to be able to read it as an arc.

Benjamin and Evie

I’ve loved all of Devon Atwood’s rom‑coms, and wow, it did not disappoint. If you’re into quirky characters, original plots, a sprinkle of suspense, and fun little easter eggs, this one is absolutely for you.

And for my friends who devour Swati MH books… you’re going to fall hard for Devon Atwood’s worlds too.

✨ The Setup
A group of billionaires puts a “light bounty” on Evie’s head.
Yes, you read that right.

“...received word that you are the target of a dark web game. Your Rh‑null blood type has become a dangerous objective… Please believe me. This is life or death.”

They’re supposed to keep her alive—but with no rules and open season approaching, that’s not exactly comforting.

Enter Dr. Benjamin Frost, who just happens to be visiting the research lab where Evie drops off her bee venom when the first attack hits. Thanks to his connections (hello, familiar faces from other Kismet books), he’s tasked with getting Evie safely back to her small hometown of Duvall—right next to where I grew up!—and keeping her alive until reinforcements arrive.

The catch? Those reinforcements aren’t coming immediately… so Frost is stuck as her temporary bodyguard.

✨ The Characters
Evie is a self‑proclaimed marshmallow of a human—soft, sweet, and a little chaotic. She’s a beekeeper living with her grandma and cousin after losing her parents in a suspicious plane crash at age 12. I kept wondering if her past tied into the “game,” but the book doesn’t confirm either way.

Dr. Frost starts off cold (fitting), but watching him slowly melt for Evie—her whimsical, plushy personality, her talent for stumbling into danger—was honestly adorable.

✨ Things I Loved
• The Jell‑O creations
• The setting near my hometown
• Evie’s superfluous, sunshine‑in‑human‑form energy
• Tessa being an absolute icon at age 12
• The bee pheromone scene. Enough said.

✨ One Complaint
The ending didn’t wrap up as cleanly as I hoped. Yes, we get the HEA, and yes, Ghost’s team handles the game… but I was left with more questions than answers—especially after the chaotic climax and the hints about Evie’s parents’ deaths. As well as a few other plot points that were dead ends, that I would have liked closure on.

I even emailed the PA to ask whether the epilogue would give more closure or if we’ll have to wait for the next book. If you’ve read Devon’s other series, you know she sometimes ties up loose ends in the opening chapters of the following book, so I’m guessing that’s what’s happening here.

✨️Tropes:
Forced Proximity
One Bed
Romantic Suspense
Damsel in Distress
Rom-com
Small town (Duvall, Wa)
Opposites Attract
Bedroom Lessons

thank you SO much, Devon, for yet another amazing read 🫶🏼 always grateful for the opportunity to ARC read for you! per usual, I absolutely loved this book... 4.5 stars rounded up to a 5!

Evie is the sweetest, squishiest FMC we've gotten yet. picture floral dresses, a cute house on a big plot of land (truly a dream!), wild flowers and buzzing bees, her crazy [fun!] granny and sassy younger cousin, and goats! i LOVED how quirky she was, but it wasn't overdone. and now picture our MMC, Frost... he's brooding, unattached, a doctor, and always the best dressed in the room. this was opposites attract and grumpy X sunshine done RIGHT. the chemistry between these two was off the charts immediately. I found myself constantly kicking my feet waiting for them to finally give in to the feelings they were absolutely failing to hide.

I would say the banter in this book was top notch, but that's a given with any Devon Atwood book and that's why I love them so much. she always finds a way to mix sarcasm and sass, romance, and a touch of danger and it comes out PERFECTLY. and she always writes the best side characters and side stories, allowing every book in the series to flow to the next naturally. it seems like we're going to get a Wells story next?! 👀 I can't wait to see that heartbroken man find a way to piece himself back together again. cue me patiently (just kidding, totally impatiently) waiting for the next book in the series!

give the Kiss-Met series a chance. you won't regret it!

Once again I’ve fallen in love with Devon Atwood’s writing! The way she tells a story has me sucked in from the first chapter!

It was refreshing to see a character like Evie. She was kind, a little (ok a lot) oblivious to so much but so wonderfully happy in her life! Her Nan and Tessa were the perfect comedic relief to this story!

Seeing Dr Frost be so kind and caring towards Evie had me swooning the entire time! His little jokes and jabs with her were so perfectly timed and playfully done!

Oh and that spice 🤭🥵 I just love love love how Devon does spice!

Thank you Devon Atwood for the advanced reader copy of this story! I really can’t want to see whose story comes next!

Evie is a colorful beekeeper in need of a bodyguard, doesn’t get sarcasm, and has no self-preservation. Frost is a playboy plastic surgeon that says he doesn’t want to be her bodyguard, but he’d do anything to be able to keep her in his sights. Devon always blows me away with how well she writes a funny, suspenseful romance and also hits me in the heart with the story she tells. I fully understood Frost’s frustration with Evie not worrying about herself, but all the conversations around this hit so hard because I understand her need to put everyone else before herself. It was so beautiful seeing her letting Frost in and realizing someone would show up for her and she could be the priority.

What magic is the writing by Atwood? I was immediately engaged with the plot and the book held my attention until the very end. The humor and banter is excellent. I loved the side characters and people we’ve met before in the Kiss-met series. I enjoy a protective hunky MMC. Evie is the sweetest MFC, she is a bee-keeper!. They both have overcome tragedy prior to their encounter which informs their caring spirits. As a forced proximity trope this one hit it out of the park.

Devon's books always make me smile. I love the banter between the characters. I also love Tessa, Evie's cousin. She is funny. I liked the danger and how Devon went about it. Because of the danger Evie was in, I got to see one of my favorite characters from Devon's other book series make an appearance in this one. I missed him, and it made my day seeing his character again. I'm excited about the next book! I know I'll love it. If you haven't read a book by Devon and you love banter and to laugh, then you should check her books out.

Benjamin and Evie are complete opposites when they meet, Evie is all sunshine and clumsiness and Benjamin is hard and steady. When they first introduced Evie is a damsel in distress but even though Ben was a little reluctant to get involved he did. The two of them learn how to live together and work together while trying to keep her safe. This book was really cute and it was fun to watch the two of them start to understand and fall into an easy rhythm. I received this book as an advanced reader copy and want to thank the author for letting me read this book it was very cute.

Evie was a clumsy beekeeper, which was funny but also a little worrisome. She was wanted for her rare blood by members of the public, who would stop at nothing to obtain (steal) some from her. I felt for her! She was sweet and these people were horrible.

Frost became her bodyguard in a random way, but the relationship that blossomed between them was adorable. He was protective of her, protecting her both from others and from herself.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Another great addition to the series.

Devon Atwood delivers yet another amazing read. Tease Me Doc is part of the Kiss Met series but can be read as a standalone. Tease Me Doc features Evie, our heroine who refuses to be rescued and Frost, our MMC who exudes swoony heat and golden-retriever charm. Tease Me Doc is packed with the perfect amount of sharp banter, forced proximity and slow burn with delicious tension. Highly rec!!

Tropes:
Forced Proximity/One Bed
Grumpy/Sunshine
Bodyguard
Bee Farm
Cottage Core/Small Town Vibesss
Damsel in Distress

I love this series. This is book 4 and I had been waiting for Dr Frosts story. He’s got the tease down Pat. I loved Evie. Brave even though a bit clumsy. Always makes me happy when he falls first and he definitely does. The way he cares for her feelings fears and trauma is the best. Reminds me of my own husband. The foreshadowing in this book for the last installment has me ready for the last one standing though. Can’t wait!!!
