The Man Who Killed the Marshal

Rate this book
Dan Renegar‘s only reason for coming to the settlement at the edge of nowhere was to escape the past that his gun had blazed for him. But Dan was in trouble from the start. The marshal knew his name - and wanted to know why he was the only man on the stage the holdup-man had left alone. And by the time he met his new partner’s wife, and saw her bullied by a lawman who preferred corpses to suspects, Renegar knew that the peace he sought was still out of sight – and that he might have to kill again to find it…

One of the most enjoyable Westerns I have read. A good story and strong characters. Short enough to not overstay its welcome.
