What a waste of time. This is awful.

I get it's a short story, but damn! This non-romance & non-story literally takes in book time of 2 days (except for the epilogue)!

So 3 years prior, MMC left the marines after his buddy died and his parents kicked him out. He starts to spiral by drinking & whoring around each night and it is one of these nights where he picks up FMC in a bar and they have sex and he leaves next day never to think of her again.

In the present, FMC has lost her job, home and is living with her 2 year old (MMC's son) in her car and has run out of options so she seeks MMC for help who is now semi clean and part of a Biker Club.

He instantly remembers her as one of his ONS from 3 years prior and sees the kid and knows it's his. And since this is supposed to be a romance, he even states that he doesn't remember the sex with her and pretty much forgot her instantly the next morning. So basically he lumped her like all his other ONS before & after her, so yeah, nothing special. Good to know.

Anyway, after she explains why she came to see him, he takes her & the kid to his home and we have to listen to his whining up until the last chapter of how he was not expecting to be a Father and how he offers the bare minimum help that is mainly for the kid. I say bare minimum because it is established that the kid is sick and needs a dentist so instead of finding one and PAYING for a good Dentist to fix the poor kid's tooth issue, he calls someone (a Dentist) who owed them a favor and the guy does it for free so he no longer has to owe them anything. What a great father! NOT.
for free. The kid (and FMC need clothes, food, etc.) and he never even thinks of giving her money to buy anything or for him to buy it himself, until someone in the MC tells him to do so. LOL. And then when he actually goes shopping for these things like diapers, a bed for the kid and some cheap clothes for the FMC, he says who expensive suddenly it is to have a wife & kid. Uhm...duh.

All throughout this s***fest, MMC is one minute resentful to becoming a Father and the next minute kind/sorta (maybe?) happy to play Daddy. All his POVs were focused on the kid and nothing about the FMC. So we go from that which is on day 1 to day 2 with him finally taking the kid to the Dentist where the poor little nugget was hurting, to them having a short conversation about their past, a kiss & some awful & forgettable sex scene and The End with an Epilogue of 3 years later with them married and a 2nd kid.

So my question is, do people who write this crap of non-romance & non-stories actually get paid? If so, I think I'm in the wrong profession...Lol.

His Reason to Live, Instead of Just Surviving -
The last thing Touch expected when the club members were warned about someone watching the clubhouse, was to find out it was because of him and the reason to turn his life to be turned upside down. Sydney was weary about seeking help from Torch, but she never expected him to offer her sanctuary in his home, especially when he was upset she didn’t find him earlier. Even though Touch and Sydney were struggling to navigate their new living situation, they utilised the time they spent together to get to know each other better.

Fortunately, the time Touch and Sydney spent getting to know each other allowed their feelings to grow and led to them rekindling their romance and changing the dynamics of their relationship. Whilst Sydney didn’t have any expectations when she sought out help from Torch, they actually got to have the happily ever after they had always craved. I really loved this story with the right amount of chemistry, humour and drama, about an overdue love connection between two people and how they navigated the second chance they were given. This is a definite must read book.

When a mysterious figure watching the clubhouse turns out to be Sydney, Torch finds his world flipped upside down he now has a son from a one night stand that he never forget even if at the time he was drowning himself in alcohol trying to forget what he lost in Afghanistan. Despite the tension of their past, he offers her sanctuary, leading to an emotional journey of forced proximity and rediscovered love and through it all King with his support shows just how good a leader he really is.

This is a fantastic MC romance that perfectly balances grit with heart. I loved watching Torch and Sydney navigate their new dynamic; the chemistry is electric, the humor is sharp, and the drama feels earned. It’s a beautiful story about an overdue connection and the courage to take a second chance.

Loved Torch (Dean) and Sidney together, and who can resist a cute toddler, right?😉😘 I was moved by the honesty and desperation Sidney displayed, the courage while their world was disintegrating. Touched by the concern and care of the club members for Torch (knowing what the revelation might do to his coping). The genuine compassion in this story riveled the swoony components (for me), and it ended up being one of my favorite books in the series. I definately encourage you to check this little family out.

A short but emotional story about Torch and Sidney. Torch is still haunted by nightmares from his time in Afghanistan and the loss of his closest friend. He never expects the woman he shared a one-night stand with to reappear—especially with his young son in tow. Sidney, desperate and out of options, seeks out Torch as a last resort. What neither of them anticipates is that this unexpected reunion might be exactly what they both need. A heartfelt, well-done second-chance romance with depth and emotion.

Committed Father

Three years ago Torch was in a bad spot after coming home from the military and he created someone he had no idea of. Now Sydney shows up at the clubhouse with a little mini me of Torch. He doesn’t deny anything, he stands up for his role as being a dad.

The brothers’ support was what a brotherhood was all about. I loved watching Torch and Sydney bond over their little boy and the growing connection that they had between them.

One more great read in Savage Riders MC series. Torch and Sydney and their second chance. They first met when both were on low points of their lives, now Sydney stands in the clubhouse with his son Torch never know existed.
And nothing goes as she expected - it goes much better.
Sweet second chance romance to enjoy in one go.

This was such a sweet romance. I loved every moment of this book. From a one-night stand to finding out he had a son to falling all over again with his woman. It was so sweet how these two came together from bad circumstances. I enjoyed every moment of this read. This is a must read you won't be disappointed!!

With her life changed she has no other choice but to seek help. Faced with his one night stand and his surprise son he has only one choice. Touching story of finding the family you didn’t know you had, knowing it ie everything you want. Awesome happy ending.

He never saw a family in his future that wasn't his brothers of the MC. She only came to him as she had no one else that could help. Now here they both are trying to make things work. I would love to read more.
