Shards in the Void
Valorie Vargas is dead.

Oh I was just so happy to be back in this world and series after @k.t.hostauthor destroyed us with the ending of Strands! This book jumps right into the action and picks up right where we left off in Book 1 - thank GOODNESS because that cliffy was BRUTAL!
I loved this so much, and I think I loved it even more than I loved Strands🥹 my girl Valorie goes through SO much in this book, and I LOVED her character development more than anything!! Seeing her come into her own was just the best!
There are so many new characters to meet and fall in love with - Dennick and Ceraun are my absolute favorite. The dynamic between these two and Valorie was so beautifully written and I loved how much fun the banter was! Getting to be apart of their journey through the underworld was such a treat and I love how they all complemented each other so well.
The underworld that KT created was so unique and I really enjoyed getting to see so many of the worlds and places - the mushroom forest was my favorite! The writing was amazing and really descriptive and I felt so immersed in the story!
Conall and the Avallean crew are searching for Valorie in the underworld, and my heart went out to Connall. He went through a lot in this book too! He was so scared and so worried about Valorie and the “my wife” literally got me every single time😭
Finn, as always, is my FAVORITE character ever, and I just love him. He adds such a golden retriever energy to the story and literally he’s just my favorite!😍🥹
I literally cannot recommend this series enough! K.T. manages to do the impossible and made me love a sequel more than the first book! New characters, new worlds, and at the heart of it all, a love that can and will conquer anything... if you haven't read this series yet, this is your sign that you NEED to!

This was probably my most anticipated sequel and it didn’t disappoint. 10000000000000 stars. Go read book one if you haven’t and then dive into this. It was so emotional, so intense and the brooding. Ugh. Perfection.
