Get your heart pumping at Quinn’s Fitness Center, where Ethan and Natalie give as good as they get, all while…frustrations are building up.

He was perfect at first. I was ready to name my firstborn after my personal trainer. I mean, he was saying all the right things! He was making sense. He didn’t define health by a certain weight or push me to become someone else. He was only interested in helping me find my happy medium.

Then I started getting to know the real Ethan Quinn. Away from clients, away from work, he was pompous, arrogant, and such a snob. One day, he literally told me he was everyone’s type.

I couldn’t keep my mouth shut. We’d promised each other honesty, so yeah. Screw it.

But…there was something about him. I got the feeling he was hiding a part of himself—or he was in the middle of figuring himself out—so I kept going back to his gym. I kept wanting to talk to him, to spend time with him…

Aw, crap.

This story takes place in Cara Dee’s Camassia Cove Universe, a fictional town where all books stand on their own, unless otherwise stated, and the reader can jump in wherever they want.

I'm often stoically silent or, if the topic interests me, a chronic rambler. In other words, I can discuss writing forever and ever. Fiction, in particular. The love story—while a huge draw and constantly present—is secondary for me, because there's so much more to writing romance fiction than just making two (or more) people fall in love and have hot sex. There's a world to build, characters to develop, interests to create, and a topic or two to research thoroughly. Every book is a challenge for me, an opportunity to learn something new, and a puzzle to piece together. I want my characters to come to life, and the only way I know to do that is to give them substance—passions, history, goals, quirks, and strong opinions—and to let them evolve. Additionally, I want my men and women to be relatable. That means allowing room for everyday problems and, for lack of a better word, flaws. My characters will never be perfect.

Wait…this was supposed to be about me, not my writing.

I'm a writey person who loves to write. Always wanderlusting, twitterpating, kinking, and geeking. There's time for hockey and cupcakes, too. But mostly, I just love to write.

Really enjoyed this one!

I’m not the right reader for most of this author’s books—but when she hits, she hits hard. The Auctioned series still blows my mind years later and remains one of my all-time favorite MM romances.

The cameos (especially from Auctioned) were a joy, the couple completely won me over, and as one of the author’s rare F/M romances, this one is an easy recommendation.

This book felt like a kind of motivational book, because Ethan is giving Nathalie advice as he is her personal trainer. So while there's a lot of what kind of food to eat, what workout to participate in and a positive self imagine, it all felt natural, as it was part of the story.

However, I feel like the relationship development part of the story went by really fast. I wish we got to know more about Ethan's self discovery, Nathalie struggling with her growing feelings for her PT, and more. Especially the ending felt a bit rushed to me.

Nevertheless, it was a lovely story to read. It was great being back in the Camassia Cove Universe. This book is a complete stand-alone, with minor spoilers about other characters in the same universe. There are some familiar faces, but again, you don't need to have read any other book by Cara Dee to be able to enjoy this one.

Cara is a great author and her characters always feel full of life. I could really imagine being there with Nathalie and Ethan, even though I hate working out. The side characters also each have their own story and there's lots of happy (found) family times.

This book was so addicting! I could NOT put it down. Cara just has a way of writing that hooks you every single time. Without fail. I've been dying for Natalie and Ethan's story since the Auctioned series sneak peaks! The first line of Ethan's POV in this book had me cackling. He's a character LOL. The cameos were also top tier!!!!! I NEEEEEEEEDDDDDD Lias's book!!! IM FERAL.

Fun fact, reading this book while walking on the treadmill definitely served as extra gym motivation!

This book is a new all time favorite romance. I adored every single word. It was the type of book that I couldn't stop reading and at the same time I didn't want it to end. I actually had to force myself to slow down because I wanted it to savor it.
Natalie and Ethan were so realistic. Their dialogue was natural, their banter so cute and their chemistry delicious. And the conversations about body image, growing old, expectations and managing a business were just handled so well by the author. I don't have a lot of things in common with the main characters but I connected with them and felt for them.
The character growth was fantastic for both Natalie and Ethan.
The book is a standalone but it is set in the Camassia universe by the author. You can expect a lot of amazing cameos.
I highly highly recommend this romance, it's brilliant.

Cara Dee is one of the few authors who can entice me to read MF romance because I can always count on her to do it right. In this book, we are back to Camassia Cove, this time to read Ethan and Natalie's story. The book can absolutely stand-alone, but the author has created such a rich, interconnected world at this point that it feels like coming back to family.

Ethan, the owner of a successful gym, is now over 40 and perhaps feeling his age a bit. The things that made him happy and worked for him and his career in his younger years are no longer working. All of his brothers are settled down and he wouldn't mind finding the love of his life. When a plus-size beautiful woman joins his gym and he becomes her personal trainer, he realizes that this woman might be someone special.

Natalie has moved to Camassia Cove from NYC to be close to her sister and other family. She's gained weight in recent years, due to the death of her fiance and managing her multi-location jewelry business. Now, she wants to get pregnant, even if artificially inseminated, and she wants to be in the best shape to manage the pregnancy. She hits it off with Ethan as her personal trainer, but she vacillates between a lack of self-confidence and a surety that a man as gorgeous as Ethan could never be interested in a woman who is not is great shape.

These two finally make some personal changes and communicate better. There are lots of family and friends feel-good moments, too. Of course, there is a great epilogue and a beautiful HEA for these two. Loved it!

It feels so good coming back to Camassia.

I found Natalie and Ethan’s story so enjoyable..partly because it takes place in my favorite fictional town, partly because of the low-angst, definitely because of the number of characters that popped up throughout the pages…but also because I found both Ethan and Natalie to be so relatable.

It’s very clear Natalie is owning her body, her choices, and wanting to make improvements to make herself happy again. She has a great attitude, she’s down to earth, and her struggles are some of the same ones we all deal with on a daily basis.

What I loved, was that after meeting Natalie, Ethan seemed to want to be more honest first with himself, and also his family, about what type of man he actually wants to be, versus what he thinks his life should look like.

It was a great story about not only being honest with those you love, but being honest with yourself, and loving your life, whatever that looks like.

Cara Dee is one of the few writers that I'll still pick up a book and love when it's an MF romance and this one was no exception.

I adored Natalie, I loved how Ethan was actually so different than the public perception, and even that of some of his family and friends, had of him.

This is slow-burny and it works for that reason, there's an emphasis on their friendship and how Ethan supports Natalie through her weight loss journey and it never becomes cloying or too much man knows best.

And while it might take a while to get to the sexy stuff, Cara gives a smoking hot encounter that really blows the cobwebs away and shows perfectly just how much Ethan appreciates Natalie for who she is and not what she looks like.

Loved it, would have liked a bit more after they did get together, which is why it's only a 4* for me.

Natalie and Ethan are adorable together. I love Natalie's dedication and commitment to improving her life and overcoming the negative thoughts and feeling associated with weight and not feeling your best. Ethan is on the other side of the spectrum, his fitnessit is part of his brand and he feels like he can never relax because he has to keep up appearances for his business and social media following.

I loved both of these characters and as usual with Cara Dee's characters I fell hard for them. I did find that I felt their story was a bit short. I loved their meet cute and slow build of getting to know each other, but I felt like the last 20% of the book was really rushed and I felt like I missed parts of their relationship. I also felt like the fitness and health and diet details became a little overwhelming at times.

I wish I got to spend more time with Natalie and Ethan once they got together but I'm glad I got to spend time in their story.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily give my review.

4.5 ⭐️Cara Dee delivers a phenomenal slow burn. These two are so supremely different and yet at their core both looking for love, deeply connected to family and both strong people. I love the way Cara Dee writes an FMC and Natalie was no different. I loved her sense of humour, her no fucks given attitude and her strong back bone. I have to be honest, it did not take me long to warm up to Ethan despite how he’s come across in previous books, he’s a Quinn, it’s always deeper. Man I loved his soft giving heart and his empathy.

I always love the banter in Cara Dee’s books and they always make me hungry - the food is always so so soooo good.

I loved the view on health and happiness too.

If you like family (we see alll the Quinns again), feelings and fiery chemistry definitely read this.

This was a fun return to MF for me. I'm not always a fan of contemporary female characters, but I know Cara Dee will deliver.

Natalie is such a breath of fresh air. Happy but also mourning her lost love. Cheerful but facing what is blocking her goals. And not about to take any BS from a Quinn.

It's always good to revisit Camassia Cove. I'm partial to Darius Quinn so seeing his cocky younger brother with all the Quinn traits was a treat. He was the perfect match for Natalie, and their story flowed so well.

As always, I recommend Cara's stories to readers. This one is quick and fun, low on angst but full of heart.

As a huge Cara fan who’s been waiting forever for Ethan’s story, this book was pure serotonin. Completely addictive and impossible to put down. Natalie and Ethan are adorable together, with natural banter, delicious chemistry, and such a thoughtful, compassionate take on body image, self-worth, and the pressure to always be “on.” The fitness coach/client dynamic felt organic and motivating without ever losing the romance. Being back in the Camassia Cove universe was such a treat, and the cameos absolutely made my day. Cara Dee’s characters always feel real, and this story reminded me exactly why I love her writing so much. A total comfort read and an instant favorite.

I finally finished this book (much later than I intended), and I’m so glad I picked it up. Another cozy, comforting read that completely sucked me in.

I’ve been waiting for this book ever since finishing Darius and Gray’s story, and it really felt like one of those little “milestones” in the series. This short romance was genuinely adorable.

I loved the plot, and the romance between the main characters was both hot and sweet. The gym elements added an entertaining layer to the story, and the whole vibe just worked for me.

After finishing the book, I immediately wanted to jump right back into Darius and Gray’s book. They’re such unforgettable characters, and you really can’t get enough of them.

Cara Dee is one of my instant buy authors and even though this book is MF I still read and of course loved it. I especially enjoyed that although Natalie is bigger than she would like it’s getting in shape that is important to her. I enjoyed the way Ethan goes about trying to encourage her and honestly I wish I could find a personal trainer like him. Don’t we all?
I also like the glimpses into characters from her previous books which are always fun to read.
I don’t always like slow paced romance, but with this book it makes sense.

Loved it. It was fun to see Ethan Quinn and get to know him a bit better. Loved him, no notes. Natalie was also amazing as a character. I have a hard time with female characters often, but I could relate to her in some ways better than others and also found her highly motivating. I just really enjoyed watching their journey together, and as an added bonus, we got to see glimpses of their world and the people in it that we already know from other books.
This book easily stands on its own if you’ve never read any Cammassia Cove or Cara Dee books, but is even more fun if you’ve met some of the side characters.

It has come to the point where when I see a book available by this author, I just get it immediately without even reading the blurb coz I just trust that I will love it. I was not disappointed. This is the first FM romance from Cara Dee I've read and it's just as enjoyable as her MM stories. I felt like the story line, the character development and the chemistry was very realistic and relatable. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to others.

Uplifting and honest

This book was so good and as the title suggests honest. It shows Natalie as she is and she has the best attitude re weightloss. I have to be fair and say that Ethan did’t give me the best vibes, but he was so raw at times and you could see his thinking. Also the book is not a guide on weightloss but I feel it has some true ideas. I loved all the small crossovers, but if it’s the first book you pick up you wouldn’t feel clueless. As always, Cara has captured my heart with two more characters and I look forward to maybe seeing them pop-up in future books.

This is the 18th book in this series, and this is Ethan and Natalie’s story.
Ethan is Natalie’s fitness trainer, and he supports her through her wight loss journey, and she sees through his public persona to the man underneath.
This is an easy to read, slow burn story, with family, friendships, emotions, opposites attract, challenges, tension, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an enjoyable small-town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I don’t remember the last time I read a MF book but let's be honest … *snickers* … it’s a Cara Dee book so Imma read it anyway simply because she wrote it.

I’m behind on the CaraDee author-verse reading-wise but it wouldn’t completely matter because I can’t remember *Things That Happen anyway unless I go on a binge-reading bender so I recognized some peeps and *Things but not everything.

I still very much enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed Natalie and Ethans story. it was a slow burn. But I loved all the build up and banter between them. I really connected with Natalie on her journey to get healthier and the guilt and struggles she felt are things I know all too well. I always enjoy a visit to Camassia Cove and this was no different. These were characters that I felt an almost instant connection with. I honestly wouldn't have minded this book being a little longer so I could have hung out with them more.

We finally have Ethan and Natalie's story. We got a glimpse of them in the Auctioned series. This was a slow burn story that is well worth the wait when they finally get together. As always we also get glimpses of the other Quinns.
Watching Ethan evolve and Natalie get into shape was very well written but Cara 's stories are always well written.

Not my usual genre but as part of the Camassia Cove Universe I thought id hace a go! Even though a stand-alone, we still get the chance to catch up with some familiar faces. I think Cara Dee is one of the few authors I would read a mf book by as their characters are always so great to follow and i thoroughly enjoyed this book.

5 Stars ⭐️

I’m not much of a M/F reader but when it comes to Cara Dee and her writings, I’m all in. There has not been a story I haven’t read by her that hasn’t been amazing and that includes her M/F stories. Let’s be honest proves my point. The storyline is awesome, characters are amazing, and we get to see or hear about some of the other characters from Cara’s other books.
So yes this book get’s 5 stars ⭐️. This is another story well worth reading! 💜❤️

Ethan's struggle to stay relevant is valid because, as you age, you struggle to find your place. I laughed so many times at what he considered facts could be misconstued as conceit. I admit to taking some of his health tips, and it is paying off! Natalie was one lucky girl, not only to be part of the Nolan clan but also the Quinns.

I read and reviewed a copy of this book.

MF is not my first thought when it comes to Cara Dee but she does it so well. My goodness this is a very real feeling love story. The chemistry between Ethan & Natalie is there from the get go but insecurities and expectation hold our prospective lovers back. As each of their characters develop and grow the chemistry becomes the thing neither can fight.

It's been a while since I've read and MF book. This one was a good one to get back into it. I loved reading about another Quinn. Natalie and Ethan were fun to read. I also liked that there was very little sex scenes. Don't get me wrong, I love those, but once in a while I want less. We got to really know Ethan and Natalie before they got together.

Slow burn, low angst

Natalie and Ethan had great chemistry and lots of snarky banter between them.
I really appreciated Natalie's realistic struggles with her weight and that there wasn't a magical solution, just hard work.
I really didn't like Ethan's character but I did appreciate how much he made sure to let Natalie know she's the one for him.

I loved this book! I love being back to Camassaia Cove. I’ve been looking forward to Ethan’s story for a long time. I was wondering how his story would turn out and Natalie was just perfect. Their journey and growth was honest, natural, and low angst. Honestly I love this town and all the cameos. I cannot wait for the next stories!

Let's be honest... this is a book I would never have selected to read on my own. Not because it's an MF romance, but because I have zero interest in the subplot of losing weight (especially for the purposes of a future pregnancy). But while Natalie's weight loss journey does play a significant role in this book, it serves the dual purpose of connecting her on multiple levels with Ethan, her personal trainer. Their emotional journey is far from a straight line, which makes their eventual connection all the more satisfying. Of course, I'll also never complain about the presence of so many secondary characters in Camassia Cove that I already adore. Natalie and Ethan might not make my list of top couples, even of those by this author, but the read is still enjoyable and recommended to fans of this author and MF romance in general (and especially if you are both).
