The Ultimate Betrayal
The life of Kevin Allen is one that many men live vicariously through. To the world he is the Los Angeles based co-founder, and CFO of K.J.A.M. the most prominent record label in the industry. Very few people know that he is also a criminal mastermind that specializes in both blackmail and manipulation. The thing that sets him off on his journey, is successfully orchestrating the homicide of the co-founder, and CEO of K.J.A.M. which ironically enough is his younger brother, John Allen. The end game for Kevin, is to remove John from the chess board so that he can gain one hundred percent control of K.J.A.M. (Kevin and John Allen Music) as well as all of the assets that come along with it.
The importance of this goal is deeply rooted in the resentment of always living in the shadow of his younger brother. NYPD Detectives Angela Jones, and her partner James Sanders are the obstacles that get in the way of this when they are asked as a favor to assist the LAPD in finding out how, and why Kevin was able solve the mystery of John Allen's homicide within a week, when the case became cold after not having any leads for an entire year. The biggest obstacle of all, is the fact that Kevin was actually not successful in orchestrating the homicide of his younger brother. In fact, John, not only saw it coming, but he is back for revenge after carefully executing a plan of his own that will ensure his success. Is Kevin Allen not as smart as he thinks he is, or is John Allen just the better villain?

Well, this started off a little slow, and I wasn’t sure if I would continue. I am soooooooooo glad that I did! Cause once this thang got started it took off like a rocket, and I still have not come back to earth! Whew…. 😮
From the backstory, it seemed as if John was the one bullying his older brother, and maybe he was. But that damn grown Kevin is a menace! 😤 Manipulating, yet smart, greedy, cold hearted, criminal minded, and an asshole! 🙄 This man knew blackmail like he created it himself and had every valuable resource at his disposal. I felt bad in the beginning how he had put Michelle in a trick bag to get her on his side, but this heifer was just as evil, dangerous, and scandalous as he is! 😡 Together they were the match made in hell! Always two steps ahead of everyone as they moved the pieces on the chessboard. Bodies were dropping left and right, and the cops couldn’t find a clue until….
Mr. John Allen proved that he is the superior brother after all huh? He moved in silence, biding time for the great reveal to Kevin. That ending…. Just wow! 🤯 What now? Will they continue this cat and mouse game until one is taken out? I cannot wait for the next one, as this read had my head spinning, heart racing, and giggling at the intelligence of these brothers! First read by this author, and I loved it! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Really good Debut from this author. I’m looking forward to seeing what he pens next. This one had me hooked from page one only put it down because holiday preparation’s lol.

These brothers were a mess!!! I loved this story though. It was very entertaining from start to finish.
