She came to give him a piece of her mind. Now she’s stuck working for him.Having ditched big city life to raise her daughter alone while housekeeping for a small-town B&B, Beth Anne juggles the demands of her demanding manager while secretly swooning over the local gardener Steven.
But when she works herself to the bone one too many times, her jet-setting sister RayLynn flies down from Boston to chew out her boss—and instead finds herself saddled with keeping the B&B from falling apart. Dead-set on getting her sister back to the city, she’s left butting heads with her infuriating—and maddeningly attractive—impromptu boss Corbin.
Corbin is hell-bent on solving the mystery behind his wife’s death. And when RayLynn makes a shocking discovery, they’re quickly entangled in a mission to unravel what happened that fateful New Year’s Day. Meanwhile, Beth Anne is scheming on how she can play matchmaker for Corbin and keep her sister from leaving.
As feelings start to simmer and lonely hearts begin to crack, will RayLynn and Corbin reignite their love lives in the unlikeliest way? And will the two sisters embrace a future together in the beautiful forests and towns of Maine?
With a thrilling blend of wholesome HEA romance and cozy mystery that will keep you guessing until the very last page, The Snug Harbor B&B is a delightful women’s fiction series that will warm your heart on a cold winter’s day.
Grace Meyers is an author of beachy feel-good romances and women's contemporary fiction. She was born in the south, but has traveled a bit since then and now lives in a small coastal town.
I enjoyed the characters and the story in this book. There were a few plot twists that I wasn’t suspecting. The characters were well-developed. HOWEVER, the editing left a LOT to be desired (lack of quality editing). Wrong verb tense, name mixups, just simply the wrong words used in some cases. It made me wonder if this series was a quicker that was spoken to a computer, expecting it to get all the grammar correct. Doesn’t work that way. Since I do editing, it’s a habit that I highlight errors throughout the books. I guess the author is just trying to churn out ebooks as quickly as possible. However, I’d much prefer that these many 6-book or 8-book series would simply be combined into one book.
Wow, what an ending to such a great series. Corbin, RayLynn, Beth Anne, Steven, Raven, and Maggie made this such a terrific series. The suspect who murdered Corbin's late wife and kidnapped RayLynn was a huge surprised but made a whole lot of sense. This series was intriguing from book one until the finale. I enjoyed seeing both RayLynn and Beth Anne get their happily ever after. Like with all her other series, this one was just as good. I look forward to reading Grace Meyer's next cozy mystery.
How long will it take people to open their eyes to love? RayLynn is rescued from being held by the doctor. But Steven and Beth Ann and Corbin and RayLynn have trouble verbalizing their feelings. Can anyone get their happily ever after?
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
The latest series captivated me with its richly developed characters, creating an immersive experience that made me feel like an active participant in the unfolding narrative. While the storytelling was engaging, the text would benefit from more careful proofreading to ensure clarity and precision in its language.
Loved this series. Love, mystery, romance and family. The epilogue made everything come full circle. The characters made an intriguing group to follow.
