Parker Ellis: Hooking up with Benson Wells should be easy. Fun, even. He’s charming and intelligent, and honestly? So perfect that it’s kind of annoying. His only flaw? A penchant for strange nicknames. Oh. And his friendship with adorable, blushing Landon Carter. Landon’s endearing and earnest, and something about spending time with him feels comforting and warm.
What started as the three of us hanging out to eat candy and watch true crime has… changed. My parents always talked about the strings of fate. It seemed ridiculous to me. I mean, who says fate gets to dictate what I do? I don’t want to fall in love with one person, let alone two.
But the strings of fate keep tugging, and my colors keep exploding into beautiful blues and purples and golds. It’s unnerving and, frankly, annoying. But I’m not sure I can fight it—fight them. And what’s worse? The more they tug, the more I’m not even sure I want to.
Double Coverage is an MMX poly romance between an artistic enby angel with black cat energy who’s basically always covered in paint, a confident wide receiver with magic hands and a Greek god jawline, and a blushing sweetheart of a left tackle who just wants to find his place to belong.
Expect feelings described as colors, sweet and swoony moments, and three people who can’t resist the way they’re drawn to each other.
Morgan Sloan lives in the Midwest with her husband and kids, along with an obscene number of chickens. She's a Christmas junkie who can usually be found listening to Michael Bublé's Christmas album (don't judge) and surviving off sheer willpower and the tropical Red Bull (it's the best kind, and she will not be taking questions at this time). She woke up one day with an idea that wouldn't leave her head. So, now, here she is, trying her hand at bringing the people in her brain to life.
Morgan writes some of the best green flag men and Ben and Landon are no exception. I loved everything about their dynamic with Parker. They made sure to move at Parker’s pace and that they felt safe to be around them at all times. Ben introducing himself to Parker the way he did totally endured me to him and blushing Landon was adorable trying to make sure his feelings were fair to both Parker and Ben. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and the shift between friendships to more. It was fun to see. Parker deserved better than what they had in the past and it was great to see them work on purging what was left from those times out as they began to let Landon and Ben in. I loved how supportive they all were of one another and that Landon found the strength he needed to confront his circumstances from them. I really appreciated their communication. Even when topics got hard or confusing they made sure to check in with each other! This was a great read and I can’t wait for what’s next!
Ughh I just adored these 3 What a beautiful story I love the slow burn and building of friendship these guys had. It felt perfect for them. They were so adorable. So sweet and vulnerable But shoot, hott too. I loved them This was a perfect poly book Done so well and written beautifully They had beautiful tender moments between them all. Supporting each other through difficult moments. Just so good I flew through this in a day Beautiful, sweet tender and spicy I adored them
I don’t even know where to begin with *Double Coverage* by Morgan Sloan because honestly? I want to crawl inside this book and just live there forever.
Morgan’s writing has me completely wrapped around her finger. Every single time she releases something new, I already know I’m going to love it—and somehow she still exceeds my expectations. This book can absolutely be read as a standalone, but if you haven’t read *Changing the Play* yet (Darcy and West!!!), do yourself a favor and grab that one too. First or last doesn’t matter—just read them.
Now… Parker. Ben. Landon. Where do I even start?
This book is **all green flags**. All romance. All love. And SO much spice. 🌶🌶🌶🌶
This is an MMX romance—the first I’ve ever read—and I would never have specifically gone looking for this trope. But the second I knew Morgan was writing it, I was counting down the days. And wow, am I glad I did.
Parker is sassy, snarky, sarcastic when they want to be—but also so soft and sweet underneath. Benson (Ben) is pure confidence and sunshine right from the start, even when Parker is nervous. And Landon… sweet Landon just needs a minute to realize it’s okay to want both Ben and Parker. Meanwhile, Parker needs that same minute to realize that Ben and Landon don’t just want each other—they want *them*, too.
This is not a slow burn. The connection is there almost immediately, but what makes it so beautiful is how quickly they build a genuine friendship. They become nearly inseparable (aside from school and sports for Ben and Landon), and watching their polycule develop in such a healthy, communicative way was everything. There’s hesitancy. There are boundary conversations. There are moments of fear about being left out. But there’s no chaos. No cheating. No third-act breakup. Just constant communication and reassurance that everyone feels loved, seen, and valued.
And the spice? Top tier. Morgan’s books just keep getting hotter—and you can truly see her growth as an author with every release. I first stumbled across her work when I read *Sheltered*, and I immediately devoured everything she’d written. Watching her confidence grow through her storytelling has been such a cool experience as a reader.
One of the most beautiful aspects of this book is Parker’s synesthesia. I’ve seen it written into another book before, but never like this. The way it’s woven into the story is so sweet and wholesome. It shows up in subtle and meaningful ways that just make your heart feel full.
Parker identifying as non-binary (they/them) was handled with so much care. Morgan was very open about how much time and research she put into making sure Parker was represented respectfully and accurately. The struggles Parker faces—especially from a former partner who wasn’t accepting—are present, but they never make the story feel heavy or uncomfortable. Instead, we get to see what unconditional love and affirmation look like through Ben and Landon. And that meant so much.
Landon’s fear about his mom not being accepting, Parker’s past negative experiences, the vulnerability between all three of them—it’s all balanced with warmth, humor, and so much tenderness.
And can we talk about how Ben and Landon constantly tell Parker how beautiful and ethereal they are? The cover already gives you a visual, but the way they describe Parker makes you *see* them in this almost glowing, delicate light—even though Parker’s personality is anything but fragile. They’re bold. They’re sarcastic. They’re silly and giggly and completely themselves. And they are loved exactly as they are.
Another thing I adored? The compersion. The joy they feel seeing each other happy. The early boundary discussions. The reassurance. The maturity. There’s tension—but it’s sexual tension, not unnecessary drama. Morgan doesn’t rely on explosive third-act conflicts to keep readers engaged. Once her characters are together, they stay together. It’s about watching them grow, communicate, and love each other better.
And I love that.
I read across so many tropes—mafia, secret societies, dark romance, reverse harem, pitch-black angst—and while I enjoy all of it, there is something so refreshing about an author who delivers spicy romance without tearing her characters apart for shock value.
I genuinely wish we could get a five-years-later glimpse of Parker, Ben, and Landon. Or a bonus epilogue with Darcy and West and everyone together. I’m also already counting down the days for what I think might be Devin and Levi’s book next—and I have theories I cannot wait to see play out.
Every time I finish one of Morgan’s books, I’m left thinking: *That ended way too fast.* And now I just have to wait again.
Morgan Sloan is an automatic read for me. No hesitation. No questions asked. She writes green-flag romance with heart, heat, and characters you can’t stop thinking about.
Benson. Well, he’s a massive green flag if ever I saw one! Confident in a sexy way, dependable, sincere. From the start it was clear that Ben was going to be someone you could trust to always treat the other two with the utmost respectful and consideration, and he absolutely did this. He has a real talent at making people feel comfortable, and he really shows Ben and Parker how special they are to him. I loved how he touched the other two like they’re the most precious things in the world.
Landon. What an adorable thing he is! Those gorgeous blushes, his shy smiles, his gentle, caring sweetness – he’s such a cutie pie and I had a massive soft spot for him. Wait until you hear the reasons for people being on his shit list – it will only make you love him more! I loved seeing him grow more confident and comfortable, simply by following his feelings for the others.
And Parker. Dramatic, sassy and definitely a menace, Parker’s protecting themself from more heartache after their past, hiding behind snark to keep their distance. Oh, how I loved that pout! I did adore how Parker can’t help but let the other two sneak past their defences with their patience and sensitivity to their feelings. Lan and Ben help Parker be their full bright, colourful self again, and I loved how they bloomed.
I did adore seeing the world through Parker’s synesthesia and seeing how well the others could read how they were feeling through the colours. I loved that final description of love through Parker’s eyes so much.
These three have such a beautiful relationship, discussing boundaries and making sure everyone’s comfortable. I loved how aware they are of each other’s feelings. They’re so solidly wholeheartedly there for each other, and I loved that with my whole heart.
And the spice. OH MY GOSH, THE SPICE! Morgan knows how to turn the heat up. Holy hotness! This has spicy goodness at its finest and I was absolutely 100% here for it. Every scene upped the temperature to extreme level.
I very much enjoyed Parker and Darcy’s interactions too. The peeks we had into Darcy and West’s relationship had me adding their story to my ‘must be read soon’ pile.
Also, it must be said that Parker’s parents are just lush!
If you enjoy MMX books with a balanced loving relationship and INSANELY HOT spicy encounters, you must read this one!

Some of my favourite quotes
They’re dangerous. To my heart especially. The strings of fate are a real bitch, though, and every single day, I feel them tugging more, connecting us, tying us together.
“Surely to God you know that you’re, like, the most beautiful person to exist.”
“You might be the most adorable human I’ve ever met in my life.”
“I like you. Parker. That’s the whole thing. No qualifiers.”
“I’ve seen you in a ratty, paint-covered t-shirt and in your pink nightgown thing. I’ve also seen you in jeans and in dresses, and honestly? You’re never more or less beautiful. I couldn’t care less what you wear or how you present yourself to the world. You’re just... Parker. Cotton Candy. Lovebug.”
“You are a great many things, Parker, but never nothing.”
Ben is incredible and gorgeous and mind-numbingly hot, but Parker is ethereal, like a fucking paint-spattered angel, so I nod.
“We just want you with us. No matter what that looks like.”
“I can’t fucking breathe sometimes with how much I want you. Keeping my hands to myself while we were trying to win Parker over was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life. I think about you all the time. Your sweet blush and the way you whimper when I kiss you.”
Stupid-ass strings of fate. Stupid-ass rosy cheeks. Stupid-ass boys making me fall in love with them.
“How do the three of you work?” “I don’t really know how to explain it. We just do. Like, all our pieces just line up well together. Like a sunset.” “A sunset?” “Yeah, the colors. How the colors just mix in the perfect way? It’s like that.”
I can’t keep hiding such a vital part of myself and my life. They deserve to be loved out loud, and I deserve to live my life freely and in the open. No matter the cost.
I deserve to be my full, authentic self with the people who love me.
“You’re so beautiful, Parker. Inside and out, you know that?”
“You don’t need to be saved from a single thing. You are perfectly made just the way you are.”
“At the end of the day, the label doesn’t really matter. You’re mine. And you’re Ben’s. We’re each other’s. Maybe that’s the only important part.”
“Love isn’t red or pink. Not like I thought. Not at all. It’s purples and pinks spread across a blue sunlit sky. And the sun, a brilliant gold, casting a hopeful glow on everything it touches. You were right, Lan. I did get to try again. Like this. With you two. And love is more beautiful than even I could have imagined. More beautiful than a simple canvas could ever contain.”
Double Coverage – Book 2 in the Changing the Game series by Morgan Sloan ARC Review – thank you to the author for the advance copy.
This was my first MMX romance and I was really excited to dive into it, especially knowing it was Parker’s story.
Parker is an artistic enby who gives off strong black cat energy. With their pink hair and pretty sundresses, they instantly stand out, but beneath that confident exterior they’re still carrying the emotional scars of a past breakup that left them questioning themselves and hesitant to open their heart again.
Their first meeting with Benson is unforgettable. Parker spots him in art class as the nude model, and for Benson it’s pretty much instant lust the moment he sees Parker. Benson is the ultimate golden retriever personality—warm, open, affectionate and completely genuine. I really loved the sensitivity he shows when they first properly meet, especially the moment he introduces himself with his pronouns to make Parker feel comfortable. It was such a small detail but it spoke volumes about his character.
Then we have Landon, Benson’s teammate, who has been quietly harbouring a crush on him while also trying to come to terms with his own sexuality and what his feelings for Benson might mean. When Landon and Parker keep unexpectedly bumping into each other it almost feels like karma stepping in, slowly bringing the three of them together.
What follows is a really sweet and thoughtfully written romance where each character grows in their own way. Parker slowly learns to trust and love again, Landon begins to open up and embrace who he truly is, and Benson acts as the steady heart of the relationship. I loved how each of them brought something different to the dynamic. Their personalities and emotional needs all complement each other in a way that makes the relationship feel balanced and believable rather than forced. By the time they come together as a throuple, it genuinely feels like they complete each other.
I also really enjoyed the side relationships in this book, particularly Parker’s friendship with Darcy. Their interactions felt natural and supportive, and it was great to see little glimpses back into Darcy and Weston’s world as well.
Overall this is a really cute, low-angst romance with strong coming-of-age themes, sexual awakening, and plenty of sweet character moments. If you enjoy black cat/golden retriever dynamics, shy boys discovering themselves, and relationship dynamics that focus on communication and emotional growth, this will definitely be one to pick up. I also appreciated that there was no unnecessary third-act breakup, which made the story feel even more satisfying.
A really enjoyable read and a lovely continuation of the series.
Benson Wells is the epitome of what I would model every human after. He is patient and kind. He isn’t afraid to stand up for anyone – not just including the ones he loves and cares about. He takes consent to a level that should just be second nature to everyone. Ben always knew what Parker and Landon needed without even being told. Benson is the warm blanket you always wrap yourself into to feel safe.
Landon Carter is the sweet swooniest blushing king to ever exist. I could live in his mind forever. The tender devotion he has for Ben and Parker is perfection. Having grown up in a conservative religious household didn’t suppress him. He never let it change him into something ugly. He is so endearing – like Park said, Lan is a sweet teddy bear. Where Benson is a warm blanket, Lan is your favorite drink. The one that you can’t live without. The first sip and you know you’re addicted.
Parker Ellis is ethereal. They hide their emotions through sass and snark but at the end of the day they just want to be loved. Parker being non-binary is just a small piece of who they are. Park is so smart and kind. They are kind and patient even to people that probably don’t deserve it. They are Ben and Lan’s Cotton Candy and Lovebug. The most beautiful thing about Parker to me is their confidence. Their ability to live their most authentic self and throw a proverbial middle finger to anyone who has a problem with them or the people they love. Where Lan is your favorite drink and Benson is a warm blanket, Parker is the warm sunlight hitting your face after a thunderstorm. The first hit of those warm rays through dark clouds that gently brush your cheeks, and you can’t help but feel euphoric. To bask in the feeling that the light gives you. That’s Parker Ellis.
Ben taught me that my boundaries aren’t debatable. Lan taught me that it doesn’t matter how you grew up – you can be the person you were always meant and wanted to be. Parker taught me that confidence doesn’t mean you’re conceited. That you can be who you want. That it’s okay to just be you without the labels. That your parts don’t define you.
So I’m going to go grab my favorite blanket, a crispy ginger ale and go sit in the sunlight for a little while to be closer to these three lovely humans.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review.
I liked this book but it didn’t wow me exactly. I’ve read others from this author that I loved but this one was just ok.
The story of Ben, Landon, and Parker and how they come into their poly relationship is well written into the story.
I love Parker’s character and their descriptions through colors. All the consent and communication throughout the book was amazing, at times may be a little overkill, but still better safe than sorry. I love how they embraced their own identification, and I love that they wore both femm clothes and masc clothes. You know it’s gonna be good when there are lacey things being worn. I appreciate how well their background was fleshed out. The good and the bad, it all came together and made a lot of sense on why they felt the way they did about love and relationships. It works in the story and doesn’t feel just like a plot device to move everything forward. Ben is such a great, supportive, patient, accepting, and carefree person. He just wants everyone to feel safe and loved and comfortable in their exploration of the relationship. Landon, the sweet, shy, sensitive, and innocent man that he is just wants acceptance and to be loved by Ben and Parker. He doesn’t want to get in their way, and has to be reassured many times that he is wanted as equally as he wants them.
Something that prevented me from rating this higher is that I felt most of the book was sexy times. The sexy times were well written and not confusing, they were imaginative and definitely not repetitive in how they three explored together. That said, to me it felt like the entire relationship was sexy times or declarations of and reassurances their feelings for each other. I guess I wanted more of the emotional moments like Parker explaining his romantic past and Landon and his situation with his mother. We also don’t know that much about Ben.
Overall I did like the book, it just didn’t hit it for me the same way some of the authors other books have. The end is really beautiful and full of love.
If you like poly relationships, this book does a good job of explaining and showing how 3 people can love each other without jealousy.
Have you ever loved a character for everything they weren’t? Then when you read from their POV, got to know their thoughts you realized that you loved them more? That is my relationship with Parker. In Changing the Play I loved the fact they were so sure of themself, they were fierce and vibrant and came off a little slutty. Well after reading Double Coverage, I see them differently. Yes they are vibrant and fierce, but they are also, unapologetic, caring, protective, and most of all guarded. Parker’s character shows us what it is like to live in a world full of color. The way they describe things in the book are beautiful. Almost as beautiful as they are. Okay moving on from my obvious character crush to Landon and Benson. They are the perfect duo to complete the trio! Landon has a past that makes him hesitate to follow his feelings. He has been crushing on his friend Benson (Ben) and isn’t sure what to do about and then he runs quite literally into Parker and his world erupts into color. Ben is also crushing on Landon but can’t deny he too has feelings for Parker as they get to know each other. He is so sweet and patient with both Parker and Landon. Their friendship is so adorable. The 3 of them, true crime and snacks and supporting eachother. Nothing here feels rushed or forced, there is so much healthy communication in Double Coverage, boundary respect, banter and the spice….. 🥵 some of Morgan’s best written spice in my opinion. The love confessions and the scene that followed I am not ashamed to admit my eyes may have gotten a little misty. Once the 3 of them get together, watching them fall for each other was beautiful. Landon and Parker both needed a HEA and Ben is the only one that could give it to them. They all compliment each other so well they are truly better together than apart. I have loved everything Morgan Sloan has written and Double Coverage solidified her as one of my favorite authors. Do yourself a favor and read this book! Your world will be more purple for it 😉.
When this ARC landed in my inbox over the weekend, I RUSHED to read it. First of all, this cover is GORGEOUS! Ever since reading Changing the Play, I was so excited to get more of Parker. These three are the sweetest angels. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and the shift between friendships to more. From meet cutes to true crime shows, cuddles and snacks – I was kicking my feet and swooning. I really enjoyed reading more Parker/Darcy interactions. I loved their friendship in Changing the Play, and it was nice to see it from Parker’s perspective. I love how welcoming Benson is right from the start. He’s so kind and patient like a big teddy bear. Landon’s shyness was endearing. I loved how he gained courage to not only realize his feelings for Benson and Parker but his strength to confront his fears and talk to his mom. Parker lives in a world of color. They are both unapologetic and guarded, protective and sensitive, vibrant and ethereal. The colors they use to describe their emotions and sounds truly fascinated me. It was the most beautiful artistic expression I’ve ever read.

〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
Okay, I honestly didn’t know what to expect from this book. I only knew there was a non-binary character and a triad, to be honest, that’s all I need to get me interested in a new read! 🤭
I really liked Parker, Landon, and Benson, both as a throuple and individually. I found the way Parker sees colors absolutely fascinating. I feel like Landon won me over from the very first moment he appeared; I was constantly swooning over him and his shy, adorable personality. As for Benson, I feel he was the perfect glue to make everything work; his attitude could be a bit arrogant, but at the same time, he was the sweetest and kindest.
I am completely in love with this story. I’m dying to read Levi and Devon’s story, they seem so interesting! 👀✨
Gosh I loved loved loved this book! Parker, Benson & Landon are perfection, individually and together🥹Their story was the perfect mixture of touching on serious topics while still staying low-angst, with swoony moments that would make Park gag and spice that would make Lan blush very prettily🫠And the communication/checking in/talks about boundaries between these three?! This should be the blueprint people!😌Their relationship felt so balanced. Not once did I feel like one person was left out. ALL THREE belong together, take one out and it just wouldn’t work, and the strings of fate knew this ofc❤️
Park “don’t call me cute nicknames but please continue to call me cute nicknames” is a sassy enby angel, and I’m so happy they got not one, but TWO partners who love, accept and support them as they are, PERIOD. They have such a beautiful mind and the way they see and describe things in color was art in itself🥹
Ben is a walking green flag and seriously gave some of my fave Morgan Sloan green flags a run for their money👀He knew exactly what Park & Lan needed and delivered. His absolute devotion to his partners and the confidence he carries himself with is just HOT okay!!!😮💨
While I love Park and Ben to death, Lan just stole my heart with his sweet blushes and gentle soul😭(it’s okay, Park & Ben 100% understand). His growth was an absolute delight to read. From being afraid and not believing he deserved the others to accepting it and confronting his mom…my man was NOT in the business of hiding his loves, and the scene with his mom had be sobbing😭
Once again Morgan has left me unwell, but that’s okay, I got a new comfort book in exchange. 10/10 would recommend this beautiful story about three unlikely people falling in love🥹❤️
Well it’s finally happened, I have rated a poly fic 5 stars!
I’ve always been a bit wary of any storyline that has an element of sharing. I tend to get attached to one character, and can’t enjoy when I feel like they’re left out, but I never got this feeling while reading this book. A combination of loving all 3 characters, and the absolutely respect for each other they had, had me swooning the entire time.
I think it helped with how much time and effort they all spent ensuring insecurities were covered and everyone was comfortable. None of them play favourites.
Ben is the epitome of a golden retriever. He makes it his mission to make sure everyone was happy, and although isn’t insecure himself, treats the other’s feelings with so much care and respect, you can’t ask for more. Park referring to him as sunshine is completely deserved!
Parker puts out a sassy front, but is so scared under the surface. How they fight against that though, is so admirable. I also adore how they look at the world in colours, and I love how this aspect is incorporated into their relationship.
Landon was breaking my heart, and my absolute favourite character (although I love them all). On the outside he has everything, but he just has this belief that he doesn’t deserve good things. He’s never sad or jealous, just accepting of the possibility he’s not wanted on his own merit, it made me want to cry. Of course they prove him wrong, but still… my heart hurt.
Overall I really enjoyed! The focus is on the characters and their relationship, so if you want a plot with lots of twists and turns, this book isn’t for you, but a great portrayal of 3 people falling in love
I say this every single time… this is Morgan’s best book to date! I have read every book she has published and watching her grow into the author she is today has been an amazing journey. She never ceases to amaze me.
Double Coverage is fun, it’s beautiful and it’s heartwarming. I connected with this book on an emotional level. These three characters stole my heart from the first page. The love, care and research that was put into this book is seriously impressive.
Individually, these three characters are incredible, but together they’re pure perfection. I’m so impressed with how well written and developed they are. Each character has such a distinct personality, and it’s amazing how consistently true they stayed to themselves throughout the entire story. When they’re together, the chemistry is electric, whether it’s all three of them or just two, their dynamic in the relationship felt so natural.
The intimacy between them is some of the best I’ve ever read, their connections, both emotional and physical, was not only well thought out but they were tasteful and hot. The small details made everything feel so real, as if I were right there with them. It’s truly impressive how well Morgan navigated their roles and switches within the relationship, especially in the intimate scenes. Honestly, I’m babbling because I’m a little at a loss for words because I’m so impressed.
While all three characters are wonderful, Parker completely stole the show as far as I am concerned. Their sense of humor had me cackling, and their bratty yet sweet nature made them irresistible. Parker will absolutely live rent free in my mind forever.
Let me collect myself for a minute before I start this review! 😃 I have been looking for a vibe, and I just found it!!
I fell in love with Morgan’s writing after reading Sheltered. I jumped on the chance to ARC read Double Coverage, which is an MMX poly relationship. I was really exited to explore the non-binary representation in a book, and I am so glad I chose Morgan’s book. She did a phenomenal job. She was consistent through the entire book, and it didn’t feel forced, fake, or fabricated. Parker was Parker. Authentic, passionate, and honest. The poly dynamic between Ben, Parker, and Landon unfolded beautifully. There was genuine conversation, and a healthy level of respect. This book gave me THE BEST feels when reading. I started Monday morning, and short of having to work, the book consumed my day. I inhaled it. When I finished, I just sat there experiencing the moment, with the biggest dumb smile on my face and a swelling heart. It was a perfect read and was everything you hope for in a polyamorous relationship story.
I loved the amount of conversation in this book. I loved the amount of spice in this book. AND I loved the balance between the two! I LOVED THE EPILOGUE!! And I loved the authors note. I would also love to absolutely say thank you to Connor for the bathroom scene!!!! Seriously, Thank you, Morgan, for the opportunity to ARC read such a beautiful story.
I had been waiting for a long time to finally get to this book. Unfortunately, it turned into a very last-minute read before release because I completely overcommitted myself. For about a week I felt like I was fighting for my life and couldn’t read at all. But that’s not the point—the real point is Parker, Landon, and Ben.
God, the three of them were just so incredibly sweet.
I absolutely loved Parker’s character. They have that classic black cat energy that I adore, and I loved how demanding they could sometimes be. I also really liked how unsure they were at first about whether they would be okay with Landon and Ben being together “like that” as well. But in the end Parker realized that yes—they could actually do this.
Landon, who could blush in seconds and was so shy, spent a lot of time being terrified that his mother wouldn’t love him if she found out he wasn’t straight. I also loved how caring and attentive he was with both Parker and Ben. By the end of the book he blossomed beautifully, like a flower.
And Ben… ah. I loved how it felt so natural that he would be the one taking charge—the more decisive and confident one among the three of them.
The communication between them was fantastic. I loved how supportive they were of each other right from the very beginning.
They were sweet, heartwarming, and just lovely to read about. If you’re only going to read one book where three people fall in love—and you’re not afraid of nonbinary characters—choose this one. It’s absolutely worth it.
I loved absolutely everything about this book. Literally everything.
Parker? That sassy, chaotic, color-feeling, paint-covered little menace with trauma tucked into every sarcastic comment? I wanted to wrap them in a blanket, and shake them...but also protect them from literally everything.
Ben is the most dangerous type of man. The greenest of green flags. Kind. Confident. Hot. Smart. Golden retriever coded, but also fully capable of handling heavy emotional shit without flinching. Ever. The way he pivoted from hookup to cookies and true crime? I was done. DONE. That’s husband behavior right there!!
And Landon...
The religious trauma. The fear. The "what if I’m not straight?" moment on the field. The way he's been suffocating under expectations and yet still somehow be so soft and kind? I wanted to climb into the book and fight his damn mother myself.
The tension. The longing. The slow unraveling of all three of them learning how to exist honestly. And the way they had open and honest conversations about their feelings and boundaries? So well done.
It wasn't just spicy (and it was SPICYYY). It was emotionally intimate. The vulnerability in this book hit harder than the smut, and that's saying something because the chemistry was absolutely insane.
Now I just need a moment to sit with this book, and these feelings...because I'm not ready to say goodbye to these three beautiful humans yet.
Excuse me, who gave the cuties in this book permission to be that adorable? I cannot deal. How sweet was this, honestly? Especially the nicknames — I completely understand why Parker loved them so much.😭
Since we’re already talking about Park: they are officially my spirit human now. I love Park with my whole heart. Not once did they let anyone walk all over them, which made them instantly likable. Their wit? Absolutely top tier. I adore characters like Park — especially because I can relate on some level to how hard it can feel to find love when you don’t fit into the norm. And the way they think in colors? Such a beautiful and creative detail.
Now let’s talk about Benson — damn, he is so considerate. A walking green flag in full jock packaging. I love the way he treats Park and Landon. You can tell he would do absolutely anything for them. He’s so all-in or nothing, but never in a way that crosses boundaries.
And Landon? Such a wonderful character. I was genuinely surprised by how much depth he had. He’s constantly caught between religious fear — especially the fear of being rejected by his mother — and his attraction to Park and Benson. Watching him truly explore and embrace his sexuality for the first time was incredibly moving.
I honestly wish for a love like theirs. Truly, truly beautiful.🥹😭👏
A college poly romance between a nonbinary artist and two football players. I was so excited to be given the opportunity to ARC read this book. As someone who identifies as both nonbinary and polyamorous, I am constantly looking for good respectful representation that varies a bit from the typical why choose/harem/reverse-harem type of book. It is always a joy when I do find them and I certainly did in this one. The author did an incredible job writing this book and the characters within respectfully. I enjoyed every second of getting to watch these characters grow within themselves and their relationship (paired off and as a polycule). I was honestly surprised how much I related to the enby character and their struggles throughout this story. Which only goes to show how well written they are. I also really appreciated the fact that not everything was smooth sailing from the beginning. The author did a wonderful job showing how polyamory like monogamy, sometimes even more so with the extra dynamics in play, takes time work and most importantly communication. I am excited to read more of this author’s beautiful writing and hope the romances are just as delightful as this one. If, like me, you are on the hunt for a poly romance or a romance with beautiful nonbinary representation I strongly recommend this book.
My heart is full! That is the simplest way to describe my feelings after reading Double Coverage.
What do you get when you combine a confident soul, a sassy soul and shy soul? You get the gorgeous poly relationship in Double Coverage. Landon, Ben and Parker honestly couldn't be more perfect for each other. The patience, communication, understanding, support and love that they have for each other would steal anyone's heart.
Double Coverage is light on the hurt/comfort, but it is still present. Without giving any of the plot away, specially you will encounter broken trust and a guarded heart from past hurt. You'll also encounter fear and doubt surrounding the thoughts of coming out to family and friends. All the topics that can cause tears are approached with the same care that we have come to expect from Morgan. She writes stories that pull at our heart strings, make us cry, maybe curse her name (in only the best way), but she does it with care and compassion.
If you're looking for a poly romance with two golden retrievers (one shy and one playful), and a sassy guarded artist- you're gonna love Double Coverage! It's full of sweet, swoon worthy moments, sassy comments and conversations and spice that will melt your book!
Adding to my 5-star reads of 2026. Double Coverage is an absolute must read!!Between Landon's innocence, Parker's vulnerability and Ben's all consuming love, you will be hooked from the very first page. Parker is very guarded, after a not great experience with their love life in the past, the last thing they were expecting was to be attracted to not one but two football players. Ben simply put is the best green flag, golden retriever MMC that there is. The way Ben is totally memorized by Parker's talent and beauty quite literally gives you all the swoon worthy feels, he is fun and quick witted and respects Parker's boundaries. Landon is a human teddy bear, he is so sweet and kind and wants nothing more than just to be in Ben and Parker's orbit. He is a true caretaker and loyal. Taking their attraction at a slow pace by starting off as friends, watching True Crime documentaries to having each other's back through tough decisions that lead to falling in love, this book will have you kicking your feet, crying the happy tears and wanting to see Ben, Parker and Landon's relationship blossom into all the colors that Parker feels represents their love for each other. Once again Morgan's amazing characters and book take a piece of my heart with them!
Ever since I read Changing The Play, I hoped Parker would get their story—and God, I was not disappointed. Double Coverage has easily become my book of the year, it’s the kind that leaves you sitting there just feeling everything it gave you. I love this book with my entire being. 🩷
This story is all about the beauty of being loved exactly as you are. Parker exists in a space where they’re never questioned or reshaped—they’re loved for who they are and for what they’re not. Additionally, Watching Landon’s growth, moving through fear and shame toward self-acceptance, was equally powerful.
Parker’s non-binary identity is handled with such care, strength, and quiet confidence. Morgan wrote them with compassion and respect. Not to mention, the intimacy throughout this book was sometimes passionate, sometimes soft and deeply meaningful and it is grounded in communication, boundaries, and trust.
Being able to beta read and ARC read this was an incredible honor. You can feel how much heart Morgan poured into this story and these characters. This book is a reminder of how powerful it is to be seen, understood, and loved without conditions. I truly think so many people will fall in love with it the way I did.
This book was precious. It was sooo sweet! I love all of these people so much. Parker is wonderful. The way they see in color is a delight and so unique. They're sassy and fun, but real at the same time. Ben is great. He's almost cocky, but not quite. He's self assured and I love his easy going nature. Then there's Landon. He is so precious. He's sweet and quiet and so kind.
I love how these three got together. Ben and Landon having liked each other secretly while Ben and Parker became friends and Landon kept literally running into Parker. I like what Parker's parents have to say about fate and I agree. The sexual tension was so obvious. I loved it! And it felt real how they went about being together, with the initial jealousy and hurt and confusion.
I also enjoyed their various struggles, whether it was Parker and them getting over their ex or Landon and his religious mom. The struggles outside of the relationship added to the story. And Parker's art was such a fun and integral part of the story, too.
Overall, I would recommend to anyone!

4.5 stars (come on goodreads can't give us have star ratings along with the DNF shelf that's coming soon??) and 🌶🌶🌶🌶
I almost starved my kids so I could read this in one go...relax they're in their early and mid teens and cereal is perfectly acceptable dinner alternative. Stupid adulting and silly things like sleep.
Ok I have 1 major beef with this and it's totally unrealistic. What college student has a California king size bed in an APARTMENT?! Excuse me I have a nice sized home with decent sized bedroom and I don't think I could get one in there AND have room to walk around it. Rude. But, very much appreciated for this story 😏.
Anyhoo, loved this so much. Love Parker's sass, Ben's golden retriever energy, and how Lan balances them all out. Parker's ex is also on my shit list. Love their parents though that was adorable. Thankfully, things went well for Lan and his mom, that had me worried the most. Kinda want Ben's parents in there too oh maybe like a bonus epilogue where all the parents met someday???

Wow, wow, wow. What a deliciously steamy book. Holy moly. Benson, Landon, and Parker are absolutely amazing together. They are just the most supportive, patient and loving trio. I’m definitely choosing to believe that they all grow old together. Morgan did a beautiful job of making each of them wonderfully unique and special, and making it really easy for me to understand why there was no way they could choose between each other and it had to be the three of them. I love that nothing was rushed and boundaries were always respected. They were able to develop a strong foundation of friendship before taking anything in their relationship to the next level. The nonbinary rep was wonderful to see and Parker was such a beautiful character. I think this was the first book I’ve read where a main character was nonbinary and I loved reading from their perspective.
This was a lovely, low angst, deliciously steamy MMX romance that I would recommend to anyone who believes that love is love no matter what. 🤍
5⭐️ OMG, I loved this book😍 it was spicy, sweet, emotional and absolutely everything!
In this MMX love story we meet confident & kind Ben, sweet & shy Landon, and fierce & guarded Parker who doesn’t trust easily due to being hurt before. They’re all such wonderful characters who fit together perfectly.
I love reading about poly relationships when they’re done in a way where it’s clear that all parties involved are happy and loved. This book did it perfectly, it didn’t feel like anybody was left out. Every step of the way they communicated so well about boundaries and how to make their relationship work and I loved it.
Aside from their journey of falling in love with each other and developing their relationship I also loved watching Landon & Parker overcome the things that held them back with Ben right there next to them supporting them through their journey.
Morgan Sloan’s books always leave me feeling warm inside because they’re just sweet and genuine love stories. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
This story was freaking everything. From having an enby MC to the emotional depths that our triad talks about I just loved it so much! Parker is the sweetest bean and deserves the absolutely best, I’m so glad they found Landon & Ben. Those two support them in every way they deserve. Both Landon and Parker have some trouble expressing their emotions, Parker from an ex that wouldn’t except them for who they are and Landon from feeling like he needed to hide his sexual orientation out of fear of being rejected. We get to see these beautiful souls heal and find love all the while Ben is the best cheerleader supporting them both every step of the way. Ben is truly the greenest of green flags, so supporting, kind, and loving, giving them everything they need. I could talk about this book for hours but instead imma tell y’all that you NEED to read this story when it releases. These characters are so freaking precious🥺
Well Morgan knocked it out of the park, again! I was smiling, kicking my feet, and my heart was exploding with happiness throughout this entire book. The communication between these three is literally everything! Park is actually the cutest. The way they talk about seeing/feeling everything in colors is so vivid and beautiful. Ben, our confident King, we love him. He’s so gentle and attentive to both Park and Landon. Landon, our shy sweet boy, the way he grew into himself throughout this book was truly something special. The attentiveness to each character and their growth individually as well as together was absolutely perfect. I loved seeing Ben and Landon work together to earn Park’s love and trust. To allow them to let go of their fears of love and a relationship as well as Park learning to trust Ben and Landon and their intentions. I’m not always a huge fan of poly books but Morgan killed it with this one. I have so much I want to say about this book but I don’t want to spoil anything. Please do yourself a favor and read this one!! “Maybe I don't fully understand their pro-cess, and maybe I don't always understand their colors. But I understand this. The three of us. My love for them and their love for me and each other. That I do understand, and truly, that's all I really need.”
Double Coverage by Morgan Sloan was delightful. I adored Parker, Ben and Landon so much. My favorite aspect of their relationship was how supportive they were with one another and how they communicated. Now don’t get me wrong the heat between the trio was scorching, but it was the open and honest communication that really got me. Plus watching them go from friends to lovers was amazing - basically just three sweethearts falling for each other. And the nicknames they had for each other made me swoon!
On a different note, I loved all the side characters! I especially enjoyed seeing more of Darcy and Parker’s friendship. And seeing what Parker thought of the beginnings of West and Darcy’s relationship. I’m also definitely interested in what Devon and Levi are up to. 👀
I can’t wait to check out what Morgan Sloan writes next!
