Amu Nnadi is a melancholic and thoroughly descriptive writer. I enjoyed his use of words to describe events and emotions. He is so good, you could taste the gloom and sadness of his words through the sweat that flood out your eyes. I loved the poem he wrote for his father, very beautiful, words can’t say enough. In his collection, he also wrote vastly about love and he wrote them in relation to nature. He wrote about romance and poetry itself. What I loved the most about his style of writing is the lack of formalities. No capitalization of first words, rare use of punctuation and still the poems had their flow.
Amu Nnadi is such a talented and skilled writer. He is good at creating imageries and his poems cuts through with “aha” moments. This book is worth reading and I recommend it.

My favorite poems in this collection are the love poems, especially "my heart begins to go" and "your touch."
