a very insightful and poignant capturing of india in the very early 90s, and before the tiger it has gained now the explosion of hidu rsahtra and the milintany of hindu nationalism as opposed to the stark conrast of nehruvain seculraism. the rise and fall of the latter are brilliantly captured, very funny and enjoyable book.
