About the author

L.M. Batstone lives in Surrey, British Columbia with her husband, son, three cats, and dog. She studied writing at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops where she earned a degree in journalism. While on maternity leave she wrote Pirate's Apprentice and published it on Amazon.com.

Then came the second book in the series, Devil's Triangle.

I really enjoyed this book! This book was a giveaway and I was a bit skeptical at first because this is not the type of book that I would usually read but I thought "why not?" The good thing was that I was not disappointed :). The characters are interesting and the story made me want to keep reading. My favourite character was definitely Wilson and I can't wait for the next book!

11/9/1716, aboard the Sultana were: Captain Black Sam Bellamy (French), Bloody John King (pirate), Joseph Rivers (cook), Dr. Ferguson, Wilson, Hendrick Quintor, Barry, Larry, Thomas Davis (carpenter), Mr. Noland, Marcus Gaines (former slave, Bonetta), Desmond (boatswain, Devonshire), & Eddie Spears.
Later there was a battle between Royal Anne & Marianne (Captain Palgrave).

The Sultana was headed away from that battle action.
Yrs. ago the Adventura had sank with lots of treasures. John had found a map with the coordinates at the Devil’s Triangle (18, 44, 56, 26, 49, 68).
Hendrick Quintor had stolen it from him but after quite some ordeal John stole it back.

Would the sunken treasure be found?
Will Captain Black Sam return to Maria Hallett (lover)?
What is John’s future?

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written Pirate sea-faring book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great Pirate sea-faring movie, animated cartoon, or mini TV series. Based on a true story. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.
