Outside the world of computing and writing, Collins has long embraced life on his Harley-Davidsons. Doug proudly wears a tattoo of the US Marines out of admiration as well as something else. You see the Marines are brave trail blazers facing dangers to make the job easier and less dangerous for others. Doug views himself in the same vein as a leader on motorcycles, as Road Captain leading the way, and as a founder. Similarly his approach to life in general has always been that of trail blazer, there first and hardest to make the path easier and safer for others.
