Kinsley Hayes, a woman of ambition and careful restraint, finds her orderly life shattered when she becomes entangled in this underworld. Her unlikely protector is Klive King a man shrouded in shadow, possessing lethal skills and a focus on Kinsley that ignites both profound passion and primal fear. The slow-burn unveiling of Klive’s character is masterfully done; as he navigates deadly threats to keep her safe, he reveals the complex, haunted man beneath the hardened exterior. Their dynamic is electric, a perfect push-pull of trust and terror, safety and danger.
