Rate this book
Promise Kept Book 5 Perry Skky Jr. is at the point in his life where he has to decide if he is truly willing to keep his word to God... Between managing his short time during the Christmas holidays, the pressure to win the college National Championship football game, and the demands of having a steady girl, Perry is feeling the burden of being torn in more directions than he can handle. And when a night out clubbing ends with his teammate, Saxon, in the hospital, the New Year is not starting off on the right track. Unfortunately, the challenges are just beginning. From a run-in with a violent gang, to Perry's beloved grandmother falling ill, to a flirtation that turns into a temptation, Perry finds himself tested like never before. Stressed out and frustrated, Perry can't help wondering how he can put God first when so many forces seem to be working against him. Though deep down, Perry knows that his glory only lies with God on his side, he feels drawn to let his flesh lead. Can he get past his weaknesses, learn how to truly embrace God's love, and be an example that will make others want to know God...or will he screw up his life for good? Includes a guide on how to start your own book club!

I would recommend this book to a friend. This book shows how this college boy overcame his problems his hold life. This book is very interesting and it shows examples how you should not be a follower and always be a leader. The book is mostly recommened for a teen because there are teens in the book. The book was full of drama in the beginning until the end. He became more of a leader through out the book.

A football player named Perry was goin threw different problems in his life. He was dealing with football, family, and his love life. He had a girlfriend named Savoy, she always wanted to spend time with him but never could. Perry went to the University of Georgia Tech, Perry also had played football. In this book, Perry was always involved in drama in this book. It also seems like he is talking to you about his problems in this book. There is some questions concerning this book. Does Perry and Savoy stay together or does he leave? Will Perry lead his team to the National Championship and win? Will his grandmother get better?

Perry became more closer to God in this book. He always called on God to handle his problems. He always was asking himself what was wrong and what was right. Perry grandmother was ill and he always prayed and prayed. He always followed his teamates and they always got in trouble. His freshman year was a bad year for him. His coach always told him to stay out of trouble but he just found away to get in. He was an outstanding football player but had issues that would hurt him on and off the field.
