Inchworm: A Novella

Rate this book

Violet just wanted to get to work, throwing on her makeup as she hurried her son to day care and fended off a call from her overbearing mother.

Rick just wanted to get the day over with and get back home. Since coming back from Iraq, he just couldn't stand being out anymore, especially with clueless people he seemed to know only in another lifetime.

Azim was there for a different reason, a higher calling. And a truckload of weapons and comrades would help him achieve it.

They joined hundreds of others on the bridge, all of whom were puzzled by the strange traffic jam building up. All of whom realized with horror what was about to happen.

As a horrific crime unfolds, one thing becomes clear to them all: no one will leave the bridge alive.

Found on FreeBooksy, what a WILD RIDE, and a very entertaining book, -this author did a sh*t tonne of research and the result was terrifying..... I dont regurgitate story line - whats the point of reading the book then - but I can tell you that it was well written and thought out, had characters with depth, and a lot to think about.... Give it a shot!

Good read

Wow. Very touching how Rick fought back against the terrorists. His bravery and heroism reminds us just how much we owe to our military heroes. Vi showed incredible fortitude and kept her child safe. I would recommend this story to any adult reader.

I received Inchworm as an ARC (advance reader's copy) novella from the author. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. Violent, blood-thirsty, heartbreaking, and gripping; none of these words can fully explain the realism and terror in this short story where jihad violence and total disregard for human life plays out on American soil. There are no winners in this riveting novella. I loved it as much as I hated it. I wanted to put it down, as much as I needed to finish it, because I had to hope for something good to come of it. It's not a pretty tale, but it gets a solid 5-stars from me.

Inchworm review

Inchworm is a short book written by author Alex Stiner. This story is about Islamic Jihadists taking control of a bridge in the U.S.A. It's a fast moving plot with a lot of killing taking place. I will look for more books from this author.

Fan Freaking Tastic!

What a story! You actually feel sorry for the innocents trapped on the bridge. As a veteran myself, traveling the country, I have often wondered if something like this story could take place.

Terrorists

Very well written and especially scary because this kind of terror attack is so reusable. Almost everyone dies even the hero. An excellent argument for ordinary citizens to carry guns.

Haven't I read this before

Not really but this book was so realistic, it reminded me of the 2 brothers who bombed the Boston marathon. Very suspenseful, very terrifying how little life means when seen by terrorists.
