Meet Me in the Middle is a fun, fast-paced, spicy hidden-billionaire romance that makes for an easy, engaging read.
Elizabeth steps into a new professional opportunity just as she’s preparing for a long-awaited overseas trip to finally meet one of her closest friends, Marcus, face to face. When they do meet, the emotional shift between friendship and something more begins to surface, and the chemistry between them moves quickly from warm to intense.
Because their connection is already established, the story moves at a rapid pace. The romance ignites quickly and the attraction is immediate, creating a dynamic that feels fated in its own way. The spice level definitely delivers, and the story wraps up with a conclusion that feels satisfying and heartfelt.
As a debut novella, this book offers a clear introduction to K.B. McNair’s writing voice. While I found the story fun and accessible, I did find myself wanting more depth around the characters’ shared history. I would have loved to spend more time immersed in how their friendship formed, how their lives unfolded in parallel, and to feel that emotional tension build on page rather than being recounted in retrospect.
Overall, this is a strong starting point, and I’m genuinely interested to see how this author’s voice and storytelling style continue to develop.
I received this book as an ARC, however, this review reflects my honest thoughts and feelings, shared voluntarily.
