That’s the vibe when Taryn Holt meets Lance Mercer, a man who challenges her, irritates her, and somehow sees right through her boardroom armor.
This holiday novella is a layover gone sideways. Two people who should never share a conversation, let alone a bed, suddenly stranded in the same storm, the same city, and the same impossible situation—an upscale room, a searing heat...and only one bed.
Why does a stranger feel like someone they’ve known forever? And why doesn’t either of them want the layover to end?
Taryn is strategic, and she rarely leads with her emotions. Lance is wholeheartedly invested in the well-being of others. Both are drawn to one another, in a way that can’t be satiated. In their time grounded, they learned to open their perceptions outside of what their own egos force them to naturally assume.
Lance and Taryn are very much grown. They openly accept their own roles in the matter of which they get to know one another. It’s a little risqué, but it’s worth it.
This was a fun quick steamy read. Kinda opposites attract-ish. Taryn and Lance were good together, and how devoted he was to getting to his family was endearing. And I loved Ava's encouragement of debauchery. LOL
