Brooke Harper thought she would make it big in New York City, but she knew her heart would always be back in her hometown of Bliss, Colorado. She’d intended to come home as the big-shot fashion designer she’d always wanted to be, but her dream job turned into a nightmare, and now she’s crawling home to lick her wounds. When she meets up with two hot cowboys one night at Hell on Wheels, she decides they’re just what she needs to get her groove back.
Bailey Kent hasn’t stopped thinking about Brooke since he met her years before when he first visited Bliss. She’s his dream woman, and now she’s within reach. She responds so beautifully not only to him, but to his brother. They’ve shared women all their lives, but both know Brooke is the one. There’s only one problem. She’s his muse, but she sees him as a way station, not the destination on this journey she’s taking.
Only one problem? Shane Kent knows his brother sometimes doesn’t see the bigger picture. Bay’s head and heart are wrapped up in his art, and it’s Shane’s job to remember the reality of whatever situation they’re in, and this time it’s big trouble. Their last job took them to a ranch that might have been selling more than cattle. Shane witnessed something criminal and they ran, but their old crew is looking for them and he’s worried they’ll find Brooke, too. And then there’s the fact that they once hit on her sister-in-law and her brothers hate them....
It'll take a miracle to bring these three together, so it’s a good thing Bliss is known for them.
NY Times and USA Today bestselling author Lexi Blake lives in North Texas with her husband, three kids, and the laziest rescue dog in the world. She began writing at a young age, concentrating on plays and journalism. It wasn't until she started writing romance and urban fantasy that she found the stories of her heart. She likes to find humor in the strangest places and believes in happy endings no matter how odd the couple, threesome, or foursome may seem.
Her first novel, Their Virgin Captive: Masters of Ménage, Book 1, was a collaboration with New York Times bestselling author Shayla Black. There are five more books available in the series: Their Virgin's Secret, Their Virgin Concubine, Their Virgin Princess, Their Virgin Hostage, and Their Virgin Secretary. The next book in the series, Their Virgin Mistress, is releasing this April.
In addition to the Masters of Ménage series, she is the author of the Masters and Mercenaries series. There are eight full-length novels and four novellas available now, with more coming in 2015.
In 2013, Lexi also began releasing her urban fantasy series, Thieves. The first five are available now, with Ripper, a spin-off to the series, coming in 2015.
I am voluntarily writing this honest review after listening to a #gifted ALC via Valentine PR. All opinions expressed are my own. BROOKE’S BLISS is the fifteenth book in the NIGHTS IN BLISS, COLORADO series by Lexi Blake. Brooke Harper was a fashion designer who returned to her hometown of Bliss, Colorado from NYC after losing her job. She met two cowboys, brothers Bailey and Shane Kent, who shared women. A fake engagement turned to love while the Kents dealt with a criminal threat from their past and Brooke dealt with a conflict with her overprotective brothers. For those familiar with the series, Brooke is the younger sister of Max and Rye, the heroes from the first book in this series. As usual I enjoyed this why chose romance audiobook by one of my “one-click” authors. I want to note that this particular series is not as sophisticated as most of Lexi’s others, but it is fun to read and intersects periodically with my favorite Lexi Blake series, MASTERS AND MERCENARIES. This audiobook is a spicy, open door, third person, triple POV, contemporary romanctic suspense with tropes including why choose, small town, cowboy, protective MMCs, fake engagement, and BDSM. Ryan West, Kitty Bang, and Lee Samuels do a fabulous job bringing Bliss to life in this audiobook. I loved how well the narrators captured the dynamic between the three main characters and between Brooke and her brother’s. Bailey and Shane were ideal book boyfriends, supporting all of Brooke’s life goals and interests. Of course, all three had personal issues they needed to overcome, but when they came together it was magic. I recommend this audiobook for listeners who enjoy Lani Lynn Vale, Maya Banks, or Vanessa Vale and enjoy why choose, cowboy, romantic suspense.
Welcome to Bliss, Colorado... Brooke feels forced to return home. She risked her dream job to stand up for herself, but now, back home, she's a failure, destined to be the town's spinsters living in a tiny house on her brothers' property. How can she tell them that their hard-earned money was wasted on her? A good distraction is just what Brooke needs to forget the complete disaster of her life. And the two cowboys to do that are Bailey and Shane. What was supposed to be just one night...turns into so much more.
I loved Brooke's story. From her struggles with her career, the harassment she endured from her boss, and the way her family sees her, I felt all the highs and lows along with her. I could see a lot of myself in Brooke. However, Rachel's very emotional response to being a wife, a mother, and her self-view are remarkably realistic. Both of these women reflect different parts of my own experience, and the way that many of us view ourselves.
It will take all of Bailey's charm and Shane's commitment to convince Brooke that they belong together. Determined to find a place to call home, they will defend their friends against a rogue Rancher who threatens them all. The town of Bliss is always unique and fun. I especially enjoyed the appearance of my other favorite characters! Kitty Bang and Lee Samuels are amazing in their portrayals of the complex and quirky residents of Bliss, Co.

Thanks to the Valentine PR, and the author for this gifted audiobook - all opinions are my own
Brooke, Shane and Bailey
I love when characters have complex backstories. It adds so much depth to the story and this is a perfect example of that. The Kent Brothers are in semi hiding and that adds the right amount of angst to this one. The dynamic between all three created a good amount of romantic tension and made the steamy scenes that much better. I definitely consider this one BDSM light but still passionate at the right times. It also has a fair amount of excitement and one phenomenal scene at the climax of the story. The secondary story with Rachel and her husbands was just as powerful.
I really appreciated that we got three narrators for this story, particularly these three as they were cast perfectly for these main characters. They handled the dual style narration perfectly, and there was no confusion on my end when it came to character differentiating. I will definitely be continuing this series in audio.
