I agree better than the first.
This second book does a better job of humanizing the main characters. Helping us see things through their eyes pretty well. The story also improves as more becomes known, some questions are answered with the promise of more to come.
On a deeper level this book could lead you to ask what is your greatest characteristic and if it were activated what would you become. Someone good or evil? So lacking this real chance at super hero ness, what person are you in the process of becoming? Is that the direction you really want to go?
