What a great start to a new series by Laura Scott. Grady from Grayson's Guardians is hired by Lauren to pretend to be her fiancé and her daughter Lucy's bodyguard. Deadly Abduction is a fast-paced suspense read with danger escalating at each turn as someone is trying to get Lucy. But who and why? Scott weaves Christian elements such as faith and prayer into this story.

Great intro to a new series by Laura Scott!
Grady is surprised to find that Lauren had hired him to guard her daughter Lucy and pretend to be her fiance. The attempts to get at Lucy intensify from a grabbing attempt to shooting and trying to crash their car. While all this is going on, the police and FBI can't seem to get a handle on things. They have to keep running. Can Grady keep both of them safe? How can they figure out what is really going on? Read this to find out. Great introduction to a series after the Sullivans' series. Grady is the guy who let them borrow his home in Wyoming!
The pace is breakneck and the tone is intense with an action oriented storyline that has just a few kisses and no steam. The characters are vivid and engaging. Lucy was a great addition to the story. The Christian ideals are woven in, !mostly as prayer and some discussion about beliefs. This is a super addition to Laura Scott's inspirational suspense group of series. If you want, you can start with the Sullivan K-9 Search and Rescue series, or you can go back even farther to the Milwaukee group of series starting with SWAT Top Cop, then Callahan Confidential, Finnegan First Responders, Oath of Honor (I think that is the right series title) before going on to the Sullivan K-9 series and then this one. All of these series have some crossover of characters keeping them all intertwined even though they are not all in Milwaukee. It just all started there! Enjoy these heart-pounding, and exciting inspirational suspense stories!

Nobody is taking her seriously...
Lauren is not convinced history is actually repeating itself, but the signs that Lucy was the kidnappers target are just too overwhelming and obvious. She won't let history repeat itself and is determined that if the police won't take her seriously, then she will hire security....enter Grady!
He thought she would be a spoilt princess that has no idea about the real world or personal safety....he was very wrong! Lauren is smart, determined and sees a far clearer picture than any of the agents that are supposed to be investigating...she is everything he could ever want....but everything he cannot have.
This is a great fast paced thriller with many twists and hidden shadows, the first in this new series, I love the crossover with the Sullivans and look forward to more of Grayson's Guardians.

A good spinoff to the Sullivan Search & Rescue series. We hear about Grady in multiple Sullivan series’ books. so it’s nice to meet him at last. It’s a fun story that takes the genre of Christian suspense head on. I love how it moves quickly right from the start. The ending is a surprise, and even though I figured out whodunit ahead of time, it was still a great adventure.

A very fun and
Faith-filled adventure. I enjoyed the characters and the story. The way Grady introduced Lucy to faith through quiet, thankful prayers over their meals, and reassured her of her safety with both him and her mother was sweet.

This book is a very entertaining Christian Romantic Suspense story. I enjoyed the characters, the story, and the happy ending along with all the suspense.
