This is a story about how two broken people became whole enough to find each other.
Finding You Through Finding Me is an honest journey through finding yourself in this messy thing we call life. It is the story of how two separate individuals healed from their own personal experiences, allowing them to find their happily ever after together.
For anyone who's ever cried on the bathroom floor, wondering if they'll ever feel complete. For those who have questioned whether they’re unlovable. For the people who feel like they just aren’t enough.
This book offers something proof that healing is possible, wholeness is attainable, and that finding the relationship you want starts with finding yourself.
Through the struggles that life sometimes brings—death, divorce, addiction, heartbreak—a beautiful opportunity can emerge. The chance to truly find your own personal happily ever after.
Gabrielle Stone is the best-selling author behind the viral phenomenon Eat Pray #FML, the heartbreak bible that sparked a global community. When readers demanded more, she delivered with the hit sequel The Ridiculous Misadventures of a Single Girl and the chart-topping podcast FML Talk. What began as a shattered heart quickly grew into a movement.
Fans were captivated by the man at the center of her second book - Taymour Ghazi - whom Gabrielle later married and started a family with. An accomplished actor, artist, and director, Taymour now adds “author” to his repertoire as Gabrielle’s co-writer on their new book, Finding You Through Finding Me. Together, they offer an unguarded, unvarnished exploration of two people healing from their own histories while navigating the unpredictable, demanding, and extraordinary path of building a life together.
I am such a fan of Gabrielle’s, so this one was a no-brainer. Yes, the writing sometimes reads like a blogpost or like the author is speaking versus writing, but I am a fan of ANYONE who uses what they learn in therapy to apply to life and their relationships moving forward. Sharing those lessons learned -in any form- is just a gift to others. If more people could practice this we’d have a much more emotionally healthy society, so kudos to Gabs and Tay for putting it out there!
The book, like her first two, reads like a blog post. There are some sweet moments and okay advice but it is usually overshadowed by the self-importance of both authors. Still an entertaining read but probably not for the intended purpose.
Gabrielle is an absolutely incredible human. What a gift to be able to read the journey her and Tay have been on in such raw, honest, lovely words. Please do yourself a favor and read this and her other two literal life changing books.
This book is EVERYTHING! If you really want to figure some things out about yourself GET THIS BOOK! I laughed and oh god I cried! I have read all three of Gabrielles books and while I love and cherish them THIS IS THE ONE! I would recommend a journal as you are reading! Gabrielle also has a journal that if you do not have it, I would highly recommend it. Gabrielle and Tay opened up their lives, their hurts, their love and their healing for us all to learn and begin to heal! I love them for this! Tay came out swinging , and TKO with his writing debut! Buy this book you will not regret it!
Gabrielle has done it again!!! This book was simply amazing!! I have read the other books Gabrielle has written. Once again I feel like I am sitting and have a beverage of choice with her and her Tay. This book has help me understand a few things about myself that I didn’t know before. How she does it is beyond me. But yet she somehow does it.
This book was absolutely amazing, healing in a way I didn’t even realize I needed. Finding You Through Finding Me felt like a reminder that it’s okay to fall apart, rebuild, and rediscover who you are along the way.
Gabrielle’s honesty is refreshing, raw, and deeply relatable. She shares her journey with vulnerability but also with humor, which made the book both comforting and uplifting. I laughed, reflected, and felt seen all at once.
One of my favorite parts was hearing Tay’s perspective woven into the story. it added so much depth and balance, and made the experience feel even more real and grounded.
Overall, this book was funny, relatable, inspiring, and exactly what I needed at this moment in my life. I highly recommend it to anyone who is healing, growing, or learning to choose themselves again.
So having met the authors (and developed something of a man crush for Tay after he casually knocked up surf and turf for a whole bunch of us) I was excited to read this. I know Gabrielle has an enormous following of women who are taking inspiration from her journey (‘Women who love too much’ for the modern age?) but for me this is a rare example of a man giving a brutally honest, but fundamentally upbeat, account of his emotional growth. I’m lucky enough to have avoided the major traumas Tay faced, but the learnings are there for all: what are your sub conscious drivers, and how do they get triggered. One to ponder upon.
If you haven’t read her other two books, what are you even doing? I digress, this book is packed with life-altering nuggets that stay with you long after you turn the last page. Each chapter offers valuable lessons that feel both grounding and eye-opening, without ever feeling preachy. What I appreciated most is how deeply relatable it is. No matter who you are or where you are in life, there’s at least one topic in this book that will speak directly to you. It invites reflection, growth, and real change in a way that feels accessible and human. Run don’t walk!
I am biased toward Gabrielle Stone, but for good reason. The writing feels conversational from both Gabs and Tay, and they take us through rough times and happy times. Having read both Eat, Pray #FML and The Ridiculous Misadventures..., this definitely matches the style and feels like a continuation of a couple who lay it all out. I enjoyed the pacing and the tone, the chapters were thoughtful and there were times where it felt as if I was having a catch-up with a friend I hadn't seen in a year.
Have tissues ready!! This book gave me hope. It proves that people who have encountered deep trauma can overcome it. Both Gabrielle and Tay open themselves up in a way that makes you feel seen and understood. It's a beautiful reminder that we are all human and we are all doing our best to navigate life and all it throws at us. And most importantly it reminds us to never give up, no matter what.
I have read each of Gabrielle’s books and each one has been read exactly at the time in my life I needed to read her truth that resonates with her readers. The fun, the love, the loss, and the pain makes it all the more relatable. I love being able to sit with a book and forget about the world for a moment and Gabrielle’s writing allows me to do just that!
Another gem from Gabrielle Stone (and Taymour Ghazi for the first time)!!! I just love how they open and real they were sharing about everything that life has thrown at them and how much vulnerability they have shown in this book. I love an honest and real story and Gabrielle always delivers one <3
This book is a no brainer. It will make you laugh, cry, sit back and take notice. All of the above. Read it. And you’ll immediately fall in love with both Tay and Gabrielle. But most importantly you’ll fall in love with yourself again!
Been a follower and fan since her first book, Eat, Pray, #FML!! This was different but equally wonderful! I enjoyed getting Tay’s point of view and his experience with the same topics. It does feel like you’re in the room with them sharing a bottle of wine or whatever you prefer.
Absolutely loved this book!! Been following Gabrielle since the beginning and I have read all of her books! This one definitely hit home for me!! Definitely a 10/10
