She’s losing hours. Someone else is finding them.

Bestselling author Paige Thomas is doing everything she can to rebuild her life after a devastating accident, writing again, keeping up appearances, and pretending the blackouts are not getting worse. Each time she wakes, there are new bruises, strange memories, and gaps she can’t explain. She tells herself it is stress. She tells everyone else nothing at all.

Her husband, Michael, is trained to understand the mind, yet he is too distracted by secrets of his own to see that his wife is spiraling. His most unsettling patient, a blindfolded man named Vincent, whispers warnings in riddles that his secrets could destroy everything he loves.

Paige turns to her estranged mother, Darlene, who senses that her own ghosts are returning. Twenty-five years ago, she survived a man with green eyes who had a talent for making reality bend around his lies. She has spent decades trying to forget what she did to survive. But Paige’s blackouts, the tattoo that shouldn’t exist, and a familiar name on her daughter’s lips tell Darlene that the past isn’t finished.
Paige, Michael, and Darlene are on a collision course with a truth buried deep in memory, one twisted enough to shatter everything they believe about themselves and each other. And all three are about to wish they had listened to the same warning:
The truth is coming for them. And it knows what they’ve done.

Talking about a past coming back to haunt you??!! YIKES! I Saw You had me completely gripped from the very beginning and did not let go. This story slowly unravels secrets that have been buried for decades, and the tension builds in a way that keeps you constantly wondering how everything is going to unfold.

I loved the alternating timelines. We move between 25 years ago through Darlene’s POV and present day with Paige and Michael’s perspectives, and I was on edge the entire time waiting to see how these two worlds would intersect. And when they finally did, I was mind blown! The way everything connects is both shocking and satisfying.

Who I disliked most in this story was Christian! He gave me the creeps from the very beginning. His overly charming, narcissistic personality made him feel like a storm disguised as shelter, the kind of character that makes you uneasy even when he is initially saying all the right things.

The audiobook narration was great. Having dual narrators CJ Locks and Gabriel Gage was a great choice and really elevated the listening experience. They both did an excellent job bringing the characters and tension to life.

This was my first read by CherAnn Wright, but it definitely won’t be my last. If you love thrillers that weave together past and present while delivering shocking reveals, this one is absolutely worth the listen.

This is a honest NetGalley ARC review:

WTH! What an incredibly wild ride! I felt like this one started slowly, but as the plot progressed, I’d think I knew what was happening. I didn’t. Or if I guessed correctly, it was overshadowed by how well the lies untangled. Honestly, I still don’t know if I know the truth of the story, or which version has more facts! I was so intrigued by this story and would LOVE if it had a sequel! Hands down one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read in a while!

Mind-twisting and suspenseful! “I Saw You” kept me completely hooked from start to finish. After an accident leaves Paige struggling with blackouts and memory loss, the story follows her as she tries to piece together the truth—only to uncover dark secrets as the danger escalates. The tension builds perfectly, with twists that kept me guessing and turning pages late into the night. I couldn’t put it down! A must-read for fans of psychological thrillers.

I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley.

This is one of the best books I have read in awhile. It hooked me from the beginning, and I liked that it went right into the storyline. There was no pages and pages of backstory. Each chapter brought a new twist that kept me guessing what was happening. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Thank you to NetGalley, author Cherann Wright, and Sleuthing Sloth Press for the ARC and the opportunity to review this book.

I do not often award five-star ratings, but this novel was exceptionally well done.

The author presents a portrayal of dissociative disorder and the way the mind can so easily be misguided and twisted into something else, while seamlessly weaving it into a fast paced and gripping psychological thriller.

The suspense builds steadily, with well crafted twists that keep the reader fully engaged. While the major twist is made obvious, I felt the author still took me on a great adventure to the ending of the twisted mind f***.

This was a compelling, edge of your seat read from start to finish.

intensely realistic

A terrifying possibility after any accident is amnesia. Head injuries can create so many chaotic changes in life and routine. This psychological thriller brought so many rollercoaster moments I just had to keep turning the page to find out what happened next. I enjoyed the different characters’ perspectives just as much as every twist and shocking reveal. I look forward to diving into her “Secrets” series!

I received an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.

I Saw You was absolutely fantastic and easily one of my favourite reads of the year. From the very first chapter, I was completely hooked. The pacing is relentless, the suspense is constant, and there’s always something happening, which made this an incredibly addictive read.

Every chapter brings a new twist, revelation, or moment of tension, keeping the story moving at a breakneck pace without ever feeling overwhelming. I loved how Cherann Wright maintained that sense of unease throughout. When I thought I had things figured out, the story would take another sharp turn.

The final revelation completely took me by surprise and left me absolutely stunned. Just when I thought the story couldn’t possibly raise the stakes any higher, the last twist shifted everything I thought I knew, recontextualising the entire narrative in the most shocking way. I honestly had to pause for a moment to process what I’d read. This revelation elevated the story even further and cemented I Saw You as a truly unforgettable thriller.

The suspense is masterfully done, and the plot never loses momentum. There’s no downtime here. Each chapter serves a purpose and pushes the story forward, making it impossible to stop reading.

I Saw You is a gripping, twist-filled thriller that delivers exactly what it promises: tension, intrigue, and nonstop momentum. A standout read that kept me on edge from beginning to end and one I’ll definitely be thinking about for a long time.

Fast-paced, addictive, and packed with twists. A must-read for thriller lovers.

All opinions are my own.

Thank you Sleuthing Sloth Press for providing I Saw You by CherAnn Wright for review consideration via NetGalley.

Rating: 3.5 / 5 stars (I round to the nearest whole star when partial stars aren’t available.)

Vibe Check: insidious, fractured, and visceral

CherAnn Wright has done it! This book is insidious, fractured, and deeply visceral. It’s the kind of book that makes you question the safety of your own shadow. It will take hold of your pulse and refuse to let go until the final page.

As an avid reader, I want to disappear into a story, but disappearing into Paige’s world felt like stepping into a psychological minefield. I found myself feeling a constant hum of anxiety during her blackouts and a fierce, protectiveness for Paige that made it impossible to stop reading until I uncovered the facts about the events unfolding on the page. I was constantly guessing, desperate for the ah-ha moment that would finally bring the truth to light. I couldn't put it down because I needed to see it through to the end.

From the opening scene, I knew this wasn’t going to be a casual read—it was a cancel-your-plans read. I Saw You begins as a story abaout a woman rebuiding her life after a terrible accident, but it quickly becomes an exploration of the necessity of owning our own stories, and the unsettling vulnerability that comes when we lose the power to tell them. The plot unfolds through multiple timelines and narrators which kept me turning pages long past my intended bedtime.

What Worked for Me
• The tension builds steadily as the story shifts between past and present and between multiple narrators, pulling me deeper into the mystery as I tried to piece together the truth in real-time.
• It was a fast read and that the relentless pacing kept my protective instincts on high alert.
• I especially appreciated how the author handled the fragile nature of memory and the unsettling reality of how someone’s history can be manipulated under the guise of care.

If you enjoy thrillers that challenge your perception of trust and agency, this should absolutely be on your TBR. I’m still thinking about the necessity of owning one’s own story, and that lingering unease is a testament to how deeply this book got under my skin.

Personal Statement on Reading
When I read, I want to disappear into a story—to be so immersed that I feel like I’m inside it, and so emotionally connected that I’m carrying the characters’ anxiety, sadness, anger, fear, or hope with me as I read. Reading books is a way to build empathy, satisfy curiosity, and find something real to chat about with people, and I believe it is imperative that we talk openly about books because they expand our understanding of ourselves and the world. Everyone deserves the opportunity to see themselves in stories and to have access to stories that challenge, comfort, and connect us. My reviews focus on emotional immersion, authenticity, and the lived experience of reading—because the right book, at the right time, can change everything.

So, this book is twisted in so many ways. I'm still not convinced of who Michael is at the end. Poor Paige/Vanessa. WTF?!?! I gave the performance 3 stars because honestly when the male narrator did Vincent's parts I couldn't stand it. It was too creepy and then too drawn out with the way it was done where it lost me a bit to where I found myself not able to follow what was being said during those parts. But overall it was a great audiobook that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers.

I really enjoyed this book!

There was A LOT happening, and at first I was all "bleh.. a cheating trope", but boy was I in for a BIG surprise!! If you don't like the cheating trope, trust me - you should still give this a try.

I didn't understand why there were SO MANY POVs... but again, after a while, I understood why and I really had a good time reading this.

I can't say much without giving anything away, so this book is REALLY hard to review 🤣 But trust me, if you want a quick, good thriller - read this.

The definition of a middle of the road thriller. Solid pace, decent twists & an interesting plot. The writing was rough & the overall organization of the book was a bit confusing. I found myself going back to reread parts more often than is normal. It mostly held my interest but main twist was pretty easy to guess. Overall, not a favorite but worth picking up.

Big thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for allowing me to enjoy this.

This "story within a story wtihin a story" didn't work for me.

At one point I found myself correcting grammar and pointing out poor word usage: in short, I found the writing style to be perplexingly uneven. I kept wondering if more than one person was writing this novel - the caliber of the writing was so uneven. Spoiler alert: but the writing as a whole was choppy and I cringed at the titillating sex scenes between Michael and Vanessa. (And yes, I guessed the "twist" right from the start - hard not to!) (By the way: those lurid sex scenes reminded me of 9 1/2 Weeks, with chain-smoking and alcoholic binging scenes mixed in. I had to employ my speed reading abilities more than once during those, and several other, passages!)

Those alternating chapters involving Darlene, Christian and his son, Donovan, had me on the alert... the past does not always stay buried... (hard not to guess that Darlene's past would have a big impact on Darlene and Paige's futures.....)

Actually, there were a couple of passages in this novel that caught and held my attention: Vincent, one of Michael's patients, emparted several noteworthy quotes from Carl Jung and Viktor Frankl's works. Vincent came across as having special powers or at least a high level of intelligence. (Hannibal Lector, you have a wannabe rival!) Was Vincent psychic or perhaps just smarter than his medical caregivers? At one point Vincent warns Michael that his wife will harm him, and then describes an image of Paige lying dead in a coffin. All very theatrical. The plot of this story was all over the place and the characters didn't ring true for me. Another spoiler alert:

I'm rating this a 2.5 ( rounded up to a 3 because Goodreads does not allow half stars ) out of 5 stars because it held my interest for several chapters, but lost me somewhere after Vanessa's torrid bar scene and tattoo: it all went downhill for me after that point. My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Not a bad read at all, just quite predictable. I guessed all the plot twists which left the 'revelations' section of the book feeling hollow and honestly quite silly. Like yes girl we know ... move onnnnn. I also think Michael was a wasted POV in this book and could've been cut out completely. His storyline with Vincent at the hospital was highkey dumb and I didn't gaf if I see one more vague Jung quote I will die :)

Buuuuut I did like Paige and I did enjoy her trying to figure out the mystery of what's going on with her! I also liked Darlene's POV, she was an unlikeable woman but I fuck with that, so props to the author for Darlene!

Excited to see where this author goes, I'll definitely look into their other books and see if any of their other twists get me by surprise!

This was a great read! It was very well written, the characters were well developed, the plot was gripping, and it kept me guessing until the end. A lot of twists that I did not expect.
Paige is a writer of self-help books, who is planning her first novel. She is in a car accident and starts loosing time. Her husband Michael, a psychologist, tries to help her through her trauma, but her episodes continue to escalate. Meanwhile, Michael has a patient of his own that seems to have an almost supernatural talent for reading his mind and seeing the future. Paige's mother is a recluse who is paranoid about being stalked. She lives by herself in the middle of a wilderness, with traps set everywhere to deter trespassers. How all these factors come together is an art in itself. This is an author I have not read before, but I can't wait to grab another book! Put this on your TBR list. You won't be disappointed!

I was so lucky to have been chosen to receive an early ARC of this book. I must say it is one of the best psychological thrillers I've read in a long time. And when I say 'psychological' I mean it IS psychological. The kind you think about for a long time after. As CherAnn always does with her books, she told the story from multiple points of view and from very distinct characters that all had a crucial role to play in the book. One minute I loved them and in others, I hated them. I even found myself cussing one of them. I can't recommend this book enough. It's a razor-sharp psychological thriller that burrowed under my skin and refused to let go. Paige is the kind of unreliable narrator you ache to trust, and Michael was the kind of character you love to hate and hate to love. I devoured this in one sitting.

There are twists and turns and so many dots. I was left guessing up until the very end...like the-very-last-page end. My jaw hit the ground and I was left wondering WTF in the best way possible. This is the first book I've read by this author and it won't be the last if her other books are this good! This messes with you mind in a truly beautiful way that totally encapsulates what I want in a psychological thriller. Are there multiple POVs? Yes. Do I typically like multiple POVs? No. Where these written in first person? Yes and I loved it! You get a chapter number AND name and then the chapter focuses on them telling their part of the story at that time. It was great! I can't say anything else without giving something away but I loved this!

Recieved as a review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review.

I Saw You is such an exceptional story, beautifully ground with subtle nuanced characters from Paige with her life wrecking blackouts that she beyond desperate for relief. To the Paige's husband Michael whose professional and personal lives are clashing crashing around himself and his wife; with the fear of destruction of it all comes crumbling down. Even Michael's own tragic past that the author gives the readers is as harrowing as Paige's hauntingly dark relationship she had with her mother that has left its own scars upon her daughter as any adult could have endured.

A one in a million story that should be read.

Highly recommended.

This is a twisted psychological thriller the takes you for a ride and spits you out. A woman, Paige, writes a novel, but is it fact or fiction? After she is in an accident, she has lapses of time she can't account for. She has a tattoo she doesn't remember getting. She has glimpses of memories she can't quite form into full ones. Meanwhile, her husband, Michael, works as a psychiatric resident with a well-known and renown psychiatrist, who ends up seeing his wife, Paige. At the same time, Michael is working with Vincent, a patient, who mostly talks in riddles and somehow knows too much about Michael and his wife. What is going on in this convoluted novel? A tale of tragedy and secrets held by too many. A very enjoyable novel!

This was such a great mystery/thriller to bring in the new year! I love a good unreliable narrator and Paige couldn't have been a better one. While I did see some things coming, there was so much I just didn't and I loved every second of it. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

Moody and Manipulatively Menacing.

“I Saw You” is the epitome of a psychological thriller, conveying tension with a quiet, creeping confidence that never lets you fully relax. With multiple narrators at play, the story toys expertly with perception — just when you think you’ve worked out who’s reliable, doubt creeps back in. Predictable on the surface perhaps, but never quite in the ways that matter.

The characters are fabulously well written. Vincent, in particular, is convincingly unsettling — the kind of presence that lingers uncomfortably long after his scenes end. I didn’t warm to everyone, but that felt intentional rather than accidental; these characters are fully fleshed out, flawed, frustrating, and undeniably human.

Unease is the novel’s constant companion. Small fractures in memory and perception quietly stack up, creating a suffocating mood that deepens as the story unfolds and leaves the ending lingering rather than explosive.

A dark, psychological read that leans more on atmosphere and disquiet than shock — unsettling in the best way.

My thanks to NetGalley and Sleuthing Sloth Press for the ARC of “I Saw You” by CherAnn Wright. “I Saw You” will be published and available on Amazon from 13 January 2026.
