I have never experienced this much happiness at the end. It was the best ending to a story. I thought I was going to be sad for a minute. Shame on you Brandi Michelle for stressing me out. I see you, Miss Lady...
All I Want for Christmas Is You” is exactly the kind of holiday romance that sneaks up on you—in all the ways that matter. Brandi Michelle takes a familiar theme—second chances—and gives it a hell of a plot twist. Payton is a woman so many of us recognize: holding down the home, handling business, pouring into everyone else, while her demands are being ignored—-quietly fading into the background. The author handles her journey with tenderness——letting us sit with her frustration. But when her first love reappears? Whew. The story takes a turn with just enough emotional heat to make you yell at the page and then BOOM!! Your heart drops because it’s something you never expected and then I got hit with ANOTHER plot twist that had me screaming THANK GOD!! Because why would you do that? I don’t know if I can forgive her for the stress she put me through but I will say I was thankful for the ending. If this ain’t Christmas magic—-I don’t know what is. If you’re into emotional twists and second chances wrapped in Christmas vibes with a lil stress LOL——-this one deserves a spot on your holiday reading list.
There’s always an applicable song 🤭… “Oh, dream weaver, I believe you can get me through the night…” Thanks to Gary Wright circa 1975. Meanwhile, ugh “All I Want For Christmas is You”, ohhh some chamomile tea & magnesium vitamins for a decent nights sleep 😴🤭‼️ ….Well, by any premonition means necessary Payton received her Christmas wish for her family 🤨🤷🏾♀️🤭‼️…Christmas, is the most magical & wonderful time of the year🎄‼️
I was ready to settle into a cute little Christmas cozy read. I mean look at this cover! First, I was side eyeing a couple characters through out the book then the author totally played with my emotions. That HEA is the only reason I did crash out in her dm’s. lol Good holiday read.
