In the city of Celthia, carved inside a snow-capped mountain, Seventeen year old Aquila (Aqua) Vickers finally discovered what she is. Avian in nature, the angeli are a proud and regimented winged race. Aqua’s father, the elusive Marcus, was the Overseer of three thousand inhabitants. Until, it appears, he was kidnapped by the mysterious dragone.
A fate that Aqua herself now shares. In a failed rescue attempt, she has been reunited with her human mother; but at great personal cost. Aqua has sacrificed her freedom, left her friends and family behind, and received a treacherous arrow in the thigh.
She must draw upon her strength and training as an angeli Guard, to escape the alluring island and the mystifying species that imprison her. But questions still remain. Why do the dragone want her? Why does their unimposing commander look so familiar? And most frighteningly, does she actually want to go back and face the gorgeously hateful man who wounded her?
The conclusion to Aquila; From the Darkness. Follow Aqua as she discovers her purpose, battles her own demons, and comes face to face with a few that are all too real.

Her love of reading led her to pen her first two novels; the Aquila novels. She is now writing the second book in the new Davovit series. The first novel, Finding Soul, was released in December 2019.
Thanks to T L Searle for giving me this book to review.
Aquila has finally found out what she is and has discovered friends, family and love in the city of Celthia. However, she has been kidnapped by the Dragone while trying to rescue her mother, but she has been betrayed and injured by the man she loves, Liam. Now she must find a way to escape, but whilst there she begins to questions things, why the future ruler of the Dragone looks so familiar, and why they do not act like the people the Avian describe. With Aqua trying to figure out the truth, she has to face her future and figure out where she belongs.
I really enjoyed Aquila: Into the Light as it was a fact paced and addictive sequel. There is more action in this book, has a lot of twists and is well written.
Aqua has developed during these two books, as she finally knows what type of person she is, and she is really protective and fights for what is fair. There are some new characters that I really like in this book. One is Brue as he is a typical boy who is charming and wants to be brave but mostly just gets into trouble. The other is Axion as he is thoughtful, caring and philosophical.
Despite this I did really like this book and I look forward to what T L Searle does next. I would recommend Aquila: Into the Light to fans of the first book Aquila: From the Darkness
I was given a copy of this book through goodreads in exchange for an honest review
The moment I finished From The Darkness, I had to get straight into this book! I've never been so happy that I entered a giveaway before. The first book didn't really hook me until the last 100 pages, and once I fell I fell hard. The second book just offers so much more and the characters and their development really push this novel.
The first thing I have to say is Aquila really comes into herself in this book. In the last, she was still tentative and quiet, but you can see how well she's grown in this one. Her character development is fantastic and helped me enjoy this book far more than the last. As I mentioned in my last review, I'm not exactly a fan of Liam. He came of as the typical YA bad boy. However, I have to say after the first half of this novel he really grew into himself and became a much better person. Once he moved past the brooding he became someone I could really love. Although I have to say one thing about him. I also have to put a special mention to Axion and Brue who I absolutely adored!
All in all, I am so happy I won this giveaway as this series has become one of my favourites (and it's signed!) I'll definitely be following T.L. Searle to see other work that she publishes. Into the Light was such a great novel, and it's definitely worth a read.
First of all I have to say that I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. :) I also have to say that I did not read the first book of this series. Now that all these things are cleared up, let’s just dive into the review. :)

As said before this is the second book in a two parter series. And I have to say that not reading the first one did not bother me as much as I thought it would (I will definitely buy the first one once my paycheck arrives :’)). I actually managed to get into the story quite well and I feel like I got to know the characters quite well.
I really liked reading about Aqua and her story and I liked how Aqua was portrayed as a strong character who grows over the course of the book. There definitely was some solid character development there. I also liked how she dealt with certain things.
I did not really like Liam, but that might just be because I did not read the first book.
All in all, I would really recommend this book to people who enjoy reading stories that feature different aspects such as action, suspense and even romance. Even though it is possible to read this on its own, I would recommend reading the series in order.
Wow. I wished there was more but at the same I'm quite happy the way the book concluded.
Into the Light, is the continuation wherein Aqua was captured at the same time during her captivity, she doesn't realize there may be more secrets than ever.
I still can't believe that Liam shot her although he has his own reason for it. I admired Aqua's character grwoth development. She may still be impulsive but she's born to lead and do good things. I adore her mother especially hn she seems pretty laid back and not really freak about the things surrounding Aqua except a time or two.
Aqua's family grew larger and I likd her new family members. especially Brue. I just adore that kid. I never expected him to be that young either. He seems mature for his age but still acts childish from time to time,
About Aaron. I honstly pitied him. One mishapped from the last book and his friendship with Aqua will not be anything more. Still, I can't say I'm sad since she has Liam. Liam is intense as always and very alpha and very bold especially during that shower incident. I kinda blushed with Aqua there.
There were some funny moments especially with August's loud blubbering. I really liked that guy.
I was surprised by the the other secrets revealed. I had an inkling about one but not the rest. I'm also saddened by the deaths of others although is it mean of me and not Aqua's brothers?
I still want more although I'm content with Aqua's happily ever after.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
"I am not afraid of the dark. I live within it. I plough a line through it, every day of my life; I am not a product of it." "When you've loved another person so fiercely that they've claimed a piece of your soul, losing them is like having your heart ripped out in shreds.
In an attempt to rescue her mother Libby from the Dragones, Aquila is injured and captured. She soon realizes that she wasn't shot by the enemy, but by Liam, the man she loves and who is part of her soul. Her captivity brings not only personal growth but knowledge about those considered to be the enemy.
True to her character in the previous novel, Aquila, is able to use the knowledge she has gained from the beginning and instigate changes that will benefit everyone.
While I am happy with the ending of this book, I do hope that author revisits these characters in the future, perhaps when a certain young man is grown and ready to take up the mantle that is his destiny.
4.5/5 **I want to thank Goodreads and the author for providing a copy of this book for an honest review; all opinions are mine.**
1st - I received this book in return for my review. I loved this series... everything about it.... the story, tempo, characters, setting - everything! I am very grateful that they didn't drag this book out into 3 books. I was very happy with the ending and I would recommend everyone read this series!
Seventeen year old Aqua has been taken captive. She's locked in a cage, with her drugged mother and a small dragone boy, Brue, one of her captors.
This novel is the sequel to Aquila; From the Darkness.
With bright amber eyes and large black wings, seventeen year old Aqua is not your average teen. In Celthia, a city carved within a mountain, Aqua discovered that she's half angeli and half...something else. The dragone are strong, dark creatures and Aqua has found herself captive and at their mercy. Could they be the key to finally discovering her true self?
The war is approaching, battles are being waged, not everyone is who they seem. Aqua has to use her Guard training in order to save her mother, escape her captors and return to the angeli city in the mountains. But things don't always go to plan, and she's not entirely sure she wants to go back anyway.
There's action, suspense, self-discovery, romance and more in store for Aqua in this novel.
"With knowledge of what I am has come the gradual understanding of who I am. The human veil that cloaked me for so long, stunted me in ways I never realised, has already blown seven sheets to the wind. The naivety of ignorance and youth has been dispelled by my life experience. I am not afraid of the dark. I live within it. I plough a line through it, every day of my life; I am not a product of it." Aquila; Into the Light
