ARC Review: Christmas in Honeymoon Bay

This was such a spicy and super quick Christmas read. I really appreciated how naturally Australian it felt without going overboard on the stereotypes. It just had that authentic Aussie vibe that makes me smile.

Ryker and Jake were the standouts for me. It’s definitely a good intro if you haven’t read much of the MFM trope before.

I’ll admit though… I do miss my MMF, so part of me was wishing for that dynamic too but that’s just my own preference sneaking in 🤣.

It is overall, a spicy read full of heart warming moments and festive romance. The development of the characters is strong and powerful bringing you unconventional inclusive relationship dynamics.
Stevens delivers the perfect storyline that will leave you swooning and wanting more.

Poppy and her two best friends, Jake and Ryker, are heading home from university for the holidays, and their connection shifts in a way that is tender, intense, and full of possibility. Poppy’s inner world is written with such care that her hesitations make complete sense, especially when friendships begin to grow into something deeper.

Even though this story is short, it still holds space for the emotional layers that come with change, vulnerability, and working out what feels right. Poppy, Jake, and Ryker each move through their own realisations, and the author captures that blend of excitement and nervousness that often comes with evolving relationships.

If you enjoy a why choose dynamic, friends to lovers energy, a cosy bit of forced proximity, and a whole lot of spice, this is a brilliant festive read to curl up with. It delivers exactly what it promises and sets the tone beautifully for the holiday season ahead.

Christmas in Honeymoon Bay was absolutely amazing and also written by the amazing author Shar Stevens that delivered on the hype of this fantastic novella.

The tension and chemistry between these characters was amazing. Crossing the lines from friendship to igniting passion the evolved into a relationship between these three friends that totally had me swooning and rooting for them. Between giggling and kicking my feet, and watching the FMC work out if she wanted to cross that line with her best friend's.

We follow Poppy and her two lifelong best friends, Jake and Ryker, after a uni Christmas party takes a very spicy turn. This short, fast paced read gives all the good stuff: MFM, friends to lovers, forced proximity and a tension filled cross-country roadtrip.

I loved how Poppy's hesitation felt. She kept her heart guarded, and the fear of ruining a lifelong friendship adds believable emotional depth to all the heat. Watching the three of them navigate a week spent cramped in a ute and caravan, travelling across the country for Christmas, was both chaotic and electric.

It’s short, fast-paced and festive. If you want something you can binge in one sitting add this one to your TBR.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ .5 ~ Because how can it not be?! Christmas and smut? It's the perfect combo!

*This is all spoiler free!

There's just something about a good friends-to-lovers, why choose romance that makes me feel all giddy inside.
But this one didn't just make me feel that giddiness, it made me feel hyper and excited. Because, for the first time, what I read wasn't set in the US, it was set in Australia, and I could actually picture everything happening in my head.

Honestly, it's a rollercoaster of emotions that I felt with every word Shar has written in this and I'm here for it!

All I'm saying is that you NEED to add this to your smutty Christmas Comforts TBR. You and Poppy won't wanna miss this filling and adventurous road trip with Ryker & Jake. Trust me. 😉

Is it hot in here or is it just this book? Shar came out absolutely swinging when she wrote this. Poppy, Ryker, and Jake had that undeniable chemistry from the first minute they’re on the page and I loved seeing them lean into it. The first night they spend together is smokin’ hot and it only gets hotter from that point. I loved how Jake and Ryker balanced each other out and that neither of them was willing to give up on Poppy being theirs. The epilogue ending was so perfect🥰 I absolutely loved every second of this.

Firstly thank you to the wonderful Shar for the opportunity to read her book Christmas In Honeymoon Bay which is a spicy holiday novella. From the moment I opened this one I was hooked. She maybe short. But she is spicy.

Christmas In Honeymoon Bay follows Ryker, Jake and Poppy. Three bestfriends. But one night changes everything. The boys are hooked and are never letting Poppy go. First they need to show her, she means everything to them and nothing will change that. Although, First they must survive a road trip home together... Here's were the real adventure begins.

What more could you want. Two hot mmc. One amazing fmc. A roadtrip. And last but not least A caravan. Stay tuned for this...

These three have fabulous chemistry, there's tension, there's swoon worthy moments to leave you in a puddle, it’s steamy and each night on the roadtrip gets hotter. Let’s not forget the spice 🥵 those shower scenes, oh lord we may need a shower. Oh did I mention one naughty Santa is pierced.

A Christmas Novella that gave spice, MFM, forced proximity and friends to lovers all in a short and thoroughly entertaining read.

The tensions between the characters, the evolution of their relationship and the ignited passions of these three friends had me swooning, giggling and kicking my feet, all while feeling the push and pull that was the battle in the FMCs mind.

This is a sweet and spicy quick holiday read.

You could feel the love and tension between these three from the beginning. When things heat up, the spice is 🔥🔥. But what I loved is that the tenderness and love was still very palpable even during the spicy scenes. This is fast paced Christmas novella that will melt your heart and leave you hot under the collar.
Jake, Ryker and Poppy have been friends forever. But now that their first year of college is over, feelings have started to grow and suddenly no one wants to be in the “friend zone” anyone.
After one night of passion brings the 3 friends together, Poppy decides that staying just friends is for the best. But that’s not easy to do when she’s trapped in a car with both guys for a whole week as they road trip it home to Honeymoon Bay for Christmas.
Long days of chatting and laughter soon lead to steamy nights under the stars and denying her feelings becomes impossible. But is it worth risking her two best friends for something that might not last?

I loved the storyline, it’s funny and fast paced, with real feelings and lots of spicy moments. I enjoyed that the two guys are so different, the joker and the bad boy, but their feelings for Poppy are exactly the same.
Overall, It’s a sweet and spicy story, with lots of fun moments and a beautiful HEA.

Tis the season to be smutty, and Shar hit the nail on the head!

We meet Poppy, Jake, and Ryker in this short and spicy novella, childhood best friends whose feelings have been simmering for years. After their uni Christmas party, things finally explode into a hot and steamy night.
The next day, they road trip home…and yes, we absolutely get more spicy moments along the way.
Even though this novella is all about the heat, there are also some surprisingly heartfelt moments between the three of them. I loved their backstory, childhood friends to lovers done right. It really shows how much they care for each other and never once feels rushed.
My only wish is we got more… I need more Poppy, Jake & Ryker!

Shar Stevens is back with Christmas in Honeymoon Bay. This book follows Jake, Poppy and Ryker in the form of an mfm, forced proximity, friends to lovers, no sword crossing, road trip romance. I really enjoyed this book, I loved seeing the transition from friends to lovers on all sides. I liked how we saw the concerns Poppy had about losing her two best friends during this transition, it’s not often we see that. I was in a little bit of a slump when I picked this one up and because of this book I am now out of that slump.

So, if you're looking for a short, sweet and spicy, slump busting Christmas novella, look no further because this is the one for you.
