He's determined to save his company. He just met the immortal who's determined to claim his soul.
Rhett Parks' construction company is on the brink of collapse, and the only thing that can save it is the biggest job of his restoring the legendary Blood Rose, a vampire-owned bar. Rhett needs to nail this project on time, on budget, and without distraction.
But distraction arrives in the form of Damien Russo.
Damien has been brought in by Master Rose as the new General Manager. He’s a centuries-old vampire known only as "The Liquidator" for his lethal efficiency. To Damien, Rhett is more than just a human contractor; he is a fated beloved, a soul Damien has been waiting over two centuries to find. Their professional relationship immediately ignites into a raw, consuming passion that Rhett can't understand or resist.
As Rhett tries to balance blueprints with a scorching new affair, a ruthless business rival and his shady crew move to sabotage the job, threatening to burn down everything Rhett has worked for—including his future with Damien. Now, Damien must shed his manager’s facade and unleash the full extent of his power to protect his mate. Can a mortal contractor survive the deadly, cutthroat paranormal world Damien is forced to bring him into?
The claim has been made, and a powerful vampire never let’s go of his beloved.
B.A. Stretke is a Gay Romance and fiction author who publishes through Dreamspinner Press, LLC, and Amazon.com
B.A Stretke began writing as a hobby. He read his first Jane Austen novel as a teen and was instantly hooked. The age-old dream of being a novelist took hold. Now long into adulthood, and a few years as an editor under his belt, B.A. is a full-time writer. B.A. spends his days reading, engaging in sarcasm, and plotting the next storyline, often leaving little headspace for much else. He loves hiking through the Northern Michigan woods he calls home, often finding inspiration for his books. Writing and finding that perfect cup of coffee occupy the rest of his time.
B.A. Stretke lives in Northern Michigan with one royally spoiled cat and his dear friends and family.
I really enjoyed reading Stretke for a while (and to be honest, I still like his earlier ones, yes, well, here the quality was sometimes a bit fluctuating as well, but better than now. When he takes a little more time, I still like them), but unfortunately I didn't like the last ten +/- (in different series) anymore. Very short, there is no time at all for the characters, their relationship or to build up a plot at all. 100 pages are really not too much to ask. I just don't feel all the expressions of love after 30-50 pages and here the vamp doesn't even have to explain what he is, because it happens automatically... What? 😂😅
This one sounded really good - but IT WAS BORING AF 🤔🙄
I try again and again, but somehow the stories always leave me a bit disappointed. Like a burger from McD., if you have cravings, they satisfy your hunger for a very short time, but afterwards you regret eating them and not something real. 🍔🍔🍔 If you feel the same way, but you still want to read achillean and about mates, Lynn Hagen, Catherine Lievens, Lisa Oliver, Aja Foxx, Stella Rainbow, AJ Sherwood, Amy Padilla or Charlie Richards write amazing stories... This is my last "book" by Stretke for a while, maybe I'll try another one in a few months...
A contractor has been chosen to reconstruct the Blood Rose damaged in the previous book. Master Rose appoints a seasoned field operator to be the new general manager of the Blood Rose who immediately sees the contractor as his fated beloved. All sorts of betrayal, danger and mystery occurs as a result of a deceptive crew foreman and his boss who lost the remodeling contract. Of course fated mates win out and we get our HEA. Highly recommended.
Rhett Parks is hired to repair the Blood Rose and meets Damien. It was an instant attraction but it seems someone wants to make sure Rhett fails to finish the reconstruction. I like that Damien is determined to find out what’s going on and determined to protect his beloved. You see very little of Drakon or Master Rose but in all it was a good read.
