ARC review!

The man that Hawk Morgan is! The. Caretaking. *chefs kiss*

Tilly has done it again with Silver Sunrise, the last book in the Silver Springs series.

A small town romantic suspense with accidental pregnancy, an age gap and found family. All of my favourite things! The love between Hawk and Jessie was achingly beautiful and the found family support that they receive was good for soul.

I flew through this in a day I was that hooked. I also loved the series epilogue HEA's!

Releases March 13th and a must add to your TBR.

Thankyou so much to Tilly Colson for the opportunity to read the ARC of Silver Sunrise. I am going to miss the Montgomery Defense family dearly, but can already tell you this series is going on my comfort re-read list!

I think this was the favorite of my series.
Loved the two main characters, the spice and the story line.

There were funny moments & scary moments. The book was filled with a whole lot of love both by the characters & the way Tilly Colson has written it 💕

It was a beautiful end to the Silver Springs series 🥰

I was excited for this book, i love this series, but i just could not connect with Jess at all. Also the romance was underdeveloped in my opinion.

by 12% Hawk was like “she is mine”, but mind you we didnt see why he liked her so much, we saw them hooking up twice (one of those times in another book) him saving her (also in another book) and thats it. Why is he so obssessed with her? There was no tension, no nothing.

I dont mind the accidental pregnancy troupe, especially with an overprotective MMC, but in this case i feel like it took over the book, there was no romance between the two of them, no construction of this couple outside the baby plot; and i mean romance as in why those two liked each other so much (i know he would ask how she was feeling and not only the baby, as if the author was showing us that he cared about her the most, but like, why? Where was the romance? When did this started? This book felt diferent from the others for some reason.

Jess was so confusing to me. In the first few chapters she is running from Hawk - this was never explained; was it because of her family? Didnt seem to be because their problem was that she got pregnant but wasnt married, idk, it wasnt explained in detail - even thou he seemed to be pursuing her, going to the diner, saying that he wanted more than one night stand etc. But in her POV she would say she wanted something more with him and he didnt want anything serius?? I know he had a reputation of beeing a player and if Hawk had never said anything to her about beeing serius maybe it would make sense the mixed signals she was giving him, but he did, several times actually, and she would just Not Listen. At some point it was just weird because he would comunnicate very cleary with her about beeing in her life, about wanting the baby, and she would just preted he didnt say any of that.

And then they loved each other. Again, how???? Why?? Outside of the baby plot i felt like they had nothing.

I also think she was careless sometimes with the pregnancy. Like the fact that she would go trough a traumatic event and be so dificult about going to the hospital and beeing checked, or with the nausea, etc. For some reason this annoyed me but maybe this is very particular idk. In the end she came across as annoying to me.

Well, 2 stars, this one was not for me.

I appreciate being chosen by Tilly and her team to be an ARC reader for this last book in the Silver Springs series. I discovered the Tillyverse by chance when I found a post on TikTok about the first book in her Men of Clarence County series, Hank, back in 2024. It instantly grabbed both my curiosity and attention and has not let go. I’ve read all of Tilly’s books since then and I’ve loved each one more than the last. They have also been a gateway drug to the romantic suspense genre for me and I can’t get enough of it.

Silver Sunrise was the perfect ending to the series. I love an interconnected series where we see a little of the characters in every book until each character gets their own. Hawk and Jessie have had little flirty moments since the beginning of the series and we see them start to become more in Silver Shadows. There was no way their relationship was going to end with their one night stand- with or without the surprise pregnancy. They just felt too much for each other and they were inevitable. I love how Hawk stood up for Jessie and took responsibility for her and baby Bee. There was no world in which it was an option to do otherwise. He also stood up for her against her family that reacted badly to the news of the baby and said horrible things to her. I really felt for Jessie here. I have personally struggled before with giving more of myself to others without getting much back in return and was so angry on her behalf. Actions speak louder than words and Hawk proved to everyone who doubted him and was against the situation that he and Jessie really loved each other and could make it work. There were many sappy moments between the two of them- and baby Bee- that were worth a moment or two of feet-kicking joy and squeals. It was nice to say goodbye to each couple in the epilogue. I can’t wait to see what Tilly has in store next in her Silver Ridge Ranch series.

Reviewing: Silver Sunrise
Book 5 in Silver Springs Series
By Tilly H. Colson

Silver Sunrise follows the two characters in the series that I’ve been most waiting for! Tilly definitely saved the best for last—at least in my opinion!

Hawk, who has always been Mr. Flirt in my eyes and heart, and our beautiful diner girl, Jessie.
After a steamy one-night stand with Hawk that had the possibility of becoming something more—but didn’t due to other factors (YOU NEED TO READ THE OTHER BOOKS IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY!)—Jessie finds herself pregnant and leaning on Hawk for support.
She was extremely nauseous throughout her pregnancy, and honestly my heart went out to the poor girl! Jessie also felt like she needed to be there for everyone, always putting her needs last. But Hawk encourages her to slow down, focus on the pregnancy, and begin building their love for each other… which Jessie keeps pushing back against! I understand though—HELLO HORMONES!
After telling her family about her surprise pregnancy, she doesn’t get the reaction she was hoping for. While dealing with that pushback, a suspicious someone begins lurking around and trying to hurt Jessie, which has both Jessie and Hawk on high alert.

YES—you heard that right. There is definitely lots of suspense! Each page just kept getting better, and I’m not lying when I say that once you read one book in the Silver Springs series, you instantly fall in love with the team—who truly feel like a family.

Now for the spice! 🌶️
Based on my spicy rating chart, this one is definitely 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Hawk and Jessie have incredible sexual tension between them, but Tilly doesn’t make the bedroom scenes the main storyline. (Don’t get me wrong—the story starts with some HEAT 🌶️.) She still keeps the focus on the plot while delivering the chemistry, and that’s exactly what I love seeing in books too!

A stunning love story and a fitting farewell to our Montgomery Defense friends. This story made me giggle, swoon, laugh, scream in frustration, rage, swear, cry, feel smuggy smug about being right, and cry some more. It was everything I hoped for and more.

Jessie is a part time business degree student working for her family businesses while carrying too much responsibility.

Hawk is a former SEAL turned security expert hottie who growls about his girl & dreams of forever in his spare time.

They live in the same town and shared one very spicy night that turned super dark. Now they are at a wedding and she makes a move because how is a girl supposed to resist a hottie in dress whites? She is only human. A baby is unexpectedly made and so begins their new futures. The question is, will their futures only be joined by parenting or will love find a way through the doubts & fears?

Jessie. Oh my heart, Jessie. Girl feels so much pressure to meet family expectations, not disappoint anyone, not let anyone down. Because that is the expectation set by her family. My heart broke for her and her worries. I loved watching her step into herself and realize who her family is now. She deserves only the best and I was giddy when she chose it.

Hawk is just everything. He is so loving and funny and sweet and protective. He is a deep well who hides behind his easy going, flirty nature. I adored every second of his story and him making the family of his very own that he always dreamed of. And his care for Jessie is the thing of fantasies.

Tilly writes some of my favourite stories. They are packed with so much heart, love, true family, & joy. She writes people & emotions that make me feel hope, like maybe me is okay. And I am so thankful she shares her stories with us.

I received this as an ARC and am grateful beyond grateful. This had zero influence on my review.

Is it wild to say I wish Hawk got me pregnant? If so I guess I’m pretty wild because holy hell is Hawk the perfect man to have a slip up with. He makes me want to put my tubes back in place so I can give him all the babies. The talking to the belly makes me feel things. I can’t even take how good he is.

Dakota is a rat fink fuck that put a bad taste in my mouth from the moment I met him. I wish Hawk would have ended him at dinner and called it a day. He might have redeemed himself just a bit by the end but still want to punch his head right off his shoulders.

Jessie is a freaking BEAST. Labor is no freaking joke and just remembering my contractions before the epidural makes me queasy, I could not imagineeee doing things the way she did. What a gangsta.

The love and care the group has for one another is beautiful. It’s always my favorite part of a story when there is a strong support system involved. Found family is the best family.

I would have liked a little more spice and expected a little kore considering the vibe it gave starting out, but it was still a pretty great read. This was my first Silver Springs book but you can bet your ass I’ll be going back to start at the beginning now.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and I’m honestly still emotional after finishing it. This finale was everything I hoped for and more.

Hawk and Jessie completely stole my heart. Every single time Hawk called her “Pretty Girl” I melted. We’ve seen the flirty, tough, protective side of Hawk throughout the series, but getting to see his softer, romantic side with Jessie was so swoon-worthy. The way he loves her & Bee just hit me right in the feelings. And Jessie? She’s always been such a strong little baddie, but the way she’s soft for Hawk made their relationship feel so real and perfect.

Their story had the perfect mix of passion, emotion, and those moments that make you grin like an idiot while reading.

I also loved getting more of the Ford family and seeing everything come together. Tilly did such an incredible job wrapping up the storylines for all of our favorite Montgomery Defense couples. By the end I was tearing up because it truly felt like saying goodbye to characters we’ve been on such a journey with.

It was the most bittersweet ending. I’m so sad to leave these MMCs and FMCs behind, but I’m also so excited to see what gives us next. If you’ve been following this series, this finale will absolutely hit you right in the heart.

I received an advanced copy from the author.

Jessie & Hawk make such a cute couple and finally seeing their happy ending was so fulfilling. It’s not entirely fair to say Hawk falls first or harder but damn does he make his yearning known from the jump. We love men who know how to communicate. I loved seeing how willing he was to make Jess happy. Their banter was so cute. Jessie being a very headstrong character when we meet her was a really pleasant surprise. We don’t see a bunch of her, so it’s not really easy to grasp who she is as a person. My impression of her if I’m being honest was much more meek or timid. It was a surprise I loved. We see her insecurities, but it was seriously so great to properly meet Jessie when she’s already confident in herself even if she’s not confident I’m her decisions with her future. Going into the book I had kind of assumed she’d be about 21/22 based off how old she is in earlier books & I kind of dread massive age gaps with a love interest under 25 so I was happy to find myself wrong. Any man who has a cat is a catch in my book. I’m so sad this series is over but I’m so happy Jessie & Hawk tied the series up so nicely.

Silver Sunrise closes the series with a wave of emotion—and a few happy tears along the way. Of course, you don’t reach that ending without a journey full of highs, lows, and plenty of heart-tugging moments. Hawk and Jessie truly put each other—and us—through the wringer.
You can’t help but feel for Jessie and her stubborn determination, even while it occasionally leaves you exasperated. Hawk, on the other hand, is impossible not to love. His unwavering support, dominant instinct to protect and care, and the respect he shows for Jessie’s choices make him a standout hero. Jessie’s family, however, will have you seeing red for quite a while.
A mess no one saw coming sends emotions flaring, and with danger striking in unexpected ways, the tension never truly lets up. Yet through every obstacle, Hawk and Jessie fight their way toward becoming the family they both long for.
In the end, everything comes together beautifully with a heartfelt, love-filled happily-ever-after that makes the entire journey worthwhile.

What a real, relatable and refreshing mash-up of an accidental pregnancy, spicy romance with the thrill of a suspense that held me captive throughout! This story was exactly what I wished for with Hawk’s character—playboy turned doting, protective figure and dad. His care, concern and compassion for Jess and the baby throughout really shone. And what a partner for Hawk! Jess’s spunkiness and determination was captured wonderfully, despite the hardships she endured. I adored the strong support system and found family, and how the hard reality of accepting help or recognizing when help is needed was showcased. The suspense sub-plot was a great addition-I liked the danger and action! And the epilogue, just as with the author’s first series, brought tears of joy and contentment. Truly a beautiful conclusion to the Silver Springs series, I couldn’t have asked for anything better or more satisfying for each of the men of the Montgomery Defense team to get their happily ever afters with the women they love.

What an amazing ending to the Silver Springs series!

Jessie works at Dolly’s Diner which is owned by her family. She met the men of Montgomery Defense when they moved into town a while ago and became friends with everyone instantly.

Hawk is a former Navy SEAL and now works with Montgomery Defense. He has always been interested and attracted to Jessie, but kept that to himself at first because of their age gap and friendship.

One night they finally give into their feelings, but then something happens (which we know about from Silver Shadows). They decide to keep their distance some more, but then give into their feelings another time.

Jessie ends up pregnant and Hawk is all in.

Family is tested and of course being a part of Montgomery Defense means there is always danger lurking in the shadows.

I could not put down Silver Sunrise. I was so happy to learn that it was about Jessie and Hawk. They have undeniable chemistry and they were meant for each other. I am sad that the series has ended, but I cannot wait to see where Tilly goes from here!

My goodness… I’m so sad to see this series come to an end. 🥹

Hawk and Jessie were everything. To find a man like Hawk — one who loves and protects with his whole heart in everything he does — is something special. And Jessie? She is a WHOLE lot of stubborn 😅 but once her walls come down, she loves fiercely and without hesitation.

Their love felt earned, raw, and so beautifully matched.

The ending was absolutely perfect. I loved getting that little glimpse into their lives a few years down the road — seeing where they are and how their story continues. Those epilogues that fast-forward into the future? They get me every time.

This may be the last book in the series, but these characters will stay with me. You get so emotionally attached that you want updates on them forever. I’m crossing my fingers we’ll get little cameos in whatever Tilly has planned next. 🤍

Don’t sleep on this series — add it to your TBR. You won’t regret it.

This has definitely become my favourite book of the Silver Springs series! The suspense, the wondering and the over all SWOON this book is just THAT good 😍
Jessie and Hawk have an amazing connection and have danced around it forever. When they finally give in at their friend’s wedding Jessie leaves him during the night only to be shocked with those 2 pink lines a few weeks later.
In this book you get to know Jessie and her family, she wears herself to the thin trying to keep everyone happy. She constantly puts everyone first and before herself. Knox is her only constant and she learns to lean on him and feel safe with him. Knox steps up for Jessie every single time she needs it. He will do absolutely anything for her! Including telling off her family when they need it.
I just absolutely adore Tilly Colsons writing and I could read this series over and over! I’m sad it’s ending but definitely excited for what’s to come… 😏🎉

Tilly H. Colson saved the absolute best for last with the final installment of the Silver Springs series, Silver Sunrise. Hawk Morgan—wow, this man completely stole my heart! His love for Jessie practically leaps off the pages, raw and unforgettable. Watching Jessie take the reins of her own life, defining it on her own terms rather than bowing to others' expectations, was nothing short of inspiring.

And how could we forget the incredible found family within the Montgomery defense team? Their unwavering loyalty, care, and genuine connection added such warmth to the story. The suspense had me hooked—from unexpected twists to nail-biting moments, I was constantly guessing what would happen next.

As for the epilogue? I absolutely adored getting that heartfelt glimpse into everyone’s lives a few years down the road. It was the perfect, bittersweet wrap-up—truly a beautiful finale to the Silver Springs series.

Thank you Tilly H. Colson and team for this beautiful ARC.

Nope, not ready to leave this crew!! Frankly I wasn’t even sure I was ready since the emotional damage from Silver Shadows with Stone and Mae.

Hawk, like all the men in this group is an adorable over protective navy seal who goes all soft for the lovable Jessie. The pining, the protecting, the response to her news of the one night stand surprise baby- perfection!

Watching Jessie step into her own story and take control over how she wanted her life to go was a breath of fresh air and very on par with the women of silver ridge.

Tilly fed us the whole way through with the romantic suspense elements we know and love.

But the real cherry on top was the bonus epilogue chock full of the future moments we live for.

Thank you Tilly for creating this universe. Can’t wait to see what comes next. ♥️

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

Silver Sunrise is how you end a series. You go out with a bang, and this book absolutely delivered. I have been waiting for Hawke’s story because he has always been so fiercely protective of everyone, and getting to see that intensity focused on Jessie was everything I hoped for and more. He is not the kind of man who gives up on what he wants, and when Jessie needed help, he left his house without a shirt or shoes to get to her. If that is not book boyfriend behavior, I do not know what is. The loyalty, the protectiveness, the unwavering devotion, it was all top tier.

I also genuinely thought I had the big twist figured out, and wow, I could not have been more wrong. I did not see what was actually coming at all. The way it all unfolded had me completely stunned. This was the perfect, explosive, emotional send off to a series I have completely fallen in love with.

Things I Loved:
Hawk takes care of her
He joins baby forums to learn what Jessie is going through.
Marla
Hawk asks his mom for advice.
He is protective and stands up for her.
Jessie’s character is so strong.
Baby bee
The epilogue

This is the final book in the Silver Springs Series and did not disappoint . I knew Hawk was going to fall hard and he did! He was all in from the beginning, and I was here for it! Hawk and Jessie were perfect for each other. I loved how Hawk constantly reminded Jessie he wasn’t just with her because they were having a baby together. He saw her and loved her. If you are looking for a romantic suspense with accidental pregnancy and age gap, definitely check this one out!!

Tilly knows how to close out a series! I loved Hawk and Jessie (Although, Jessie was stubborn as hell!) were a good match once Jessie got over her fear of letting the people she loved down. The Ford Family put a lot on her shoulders but I’m glad they finally realized what they were doing and made up. Her dad and two of her brothers were awful to her at first when they found out about their baby but they made up for it. Tilly writes a damn good found family and I’m gonna miss these men! Hawk was seriously a top tier man! What he did for Jessie and their baby… SWOON! I can’t wait to the next series!

📚ARC REVIEW📚

This was one of my long awaited reads since I finished book 4 in the series. This book was a sad read knowing that we are saying goodbye to our Montgomery Defense team, but it is so worth it. Silver Sunrise gave me a warm place to hang out while everything around us got dark. The unwavering support Jessie gets from Hawk is everything especially as she navigates her pregnancy and everything else this book gives us. The twists and suspense in this book is easily matched by the romance and still true to everything Tilly H. Colson writes. I must say- this is probably my favorite out of the entire series.

The blurb about this book really drew me in! I was so excited about it but it didn’t quite meet the expectations for me. The book seemed a bit slow and dragged out to me. I enjoyed the storyline but there were a couple sections that left me confused and the answers to the questions I had were still unanswered by the end of the book. I did love how much Hawk loved Jessie and was ready to jump in feet first to raise the baby with her. I also loved how he always bowed up for her even when she tried to push him away.

Thank you to Tilly for the copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own💜💜

At first the FMC really grind my gears, because she was always trying to do everything thing herself and never think Hawk help her. All that sweet man wanted to do was love on her and take care of her when she was ill.
But as the story when on she FINALLY saw it from his perspective and let him.
But why was she running from him in the beginning. She had a crush on him, but always ran after they “hanged out” I don’t get it.

The whole family being disappointed in her that she was having a baby out of wedlock, what is this? The 1940s. She is a grown woman and can do what she wants.

Overall I did enjoy the book for the most part.

If there’s anything you need to know about any mmc in the Silver Springs series, it’s that they are 1000% down bad for their woman and Hawk is no exception!

I have been so excited for Hawk and Jessie’s story! The suspense had me on the edge of my seat and the romance gave me butterflies! So overall the perfect romantic suspense!

It’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye to this series but Silver Sunrise was the perfect ending!

💙age gap
💙one night stand
💙accidental pregnancy
💙romantic suspense

It's difficult to put into words how well Tilly can wrap up a saga you have been invested in since the first book was released. After the emotional whirlwind of the first four books of the Silver Springs series, Silver Sunrise is a bright spot on the horizon that leaves you with hope and joy. This book is the perfect end cap to the series. It keeps you on your toes and second guessing everything while swooning for Hawk and rooting for Jessie. Tilly is the queen of red herrings and I am here for it to figure it all out and squeal with excitement when the action starts.

book five in the The Silver Springs Series. jessie is never selfish. her family is everything. she does something for one of her family members. the garage . the farm . the dinner. she never does nothing just die her till she spend time with hawk. one night was never enough on their second date she finds out something that changes both their life. now the only problem is changing her family mind. that’s she’s no longer their little girl but his girl now. she’s so sassy and cute it was hard not to fall down her.

After the roller coaster of emotional damage suffered by Doc and Mae’s story, I went into this one with no expectation of an easy ride.
I was pleasantly surprised at how low stress the danger seemed. (By comparison)
Jessie’s high stress pregnancy, however, hit me to the core. Hawk’s love and care through it, his creativity with nausea hacks reminded me of all the wild things I attempted through my first pregnancy.
A beautiful close to a great series!!!

Such an amazing read! I knew it would be good cause it’s a Tilly book but oh my gosh it was amazing! Surprise/accidental pregnancies are not my favorite but Hawk was definitely a favorite from the second I read anything about him. Jessie was amazing. Coming from someone who couldn’t keep anything down for the first 6 months of my pregnancy I felt like I could understand what she was dealing with and she was super relatable. Such a good way to end the series. Can’t wait to read more from Tilly.
