About the author

Lucy Young

Lucy is the author of new fantasy novel (and soon to be series) "A Curse Of Gods & Mortals". When she is not busy writing, she is devouring books from other authors - especially in the fantasy and romantasy genre.

She had always had a passion for writing but was able to develop this during and after her studies at university, where she wrote and produced many award-winning and award-nominated short films and web series'. Her debut novel, "A Curse Of Gods & Mortals", is a story produced from everything she loves about fantasy worlds and escapism. If she's not lost in a good book or planning out plot lines for her next novel, she's usually enthralled in otherworldly locations you can find in films/tv shows, or video games.

Just when I thought I couldn't love this world and the characters even more than I already do - This books comes along! And oh my, it did not disappoint! Right from the first chapter, it kicks off exactly where book one left off, and we are sucked straight into the action.

I won't say too much for spoilers, but this book broke my heart several times throughout the story. It's the perfect combination of an amazing plot, well-rounded characters, humour, danger, forbidden romance, and fantasy! And that ending!!!

I think you can definitely see the author's evolution with her writing, too. The first one was brilliant, but this one was just something more. Absolutely my favourite out of the two, and I can't wait to see how the story continues.

Damn! It was so worth the wait. And that ending! I need more already.

Lucy Young has topped herself with part 2. I was HOOKED on A Curse of Gods and Mortals part 1, but part 2 was even more intense and a truly fun read. I may or may not have cried, with both sorrow and joy! I loved being taken back to the wonderful, magical realm she builds in your mind and experiencing the character relationships and feuds take even more twists and turns.

This story is shaping up to be a classic fantasy series. The next instalment cannot come quickly enough for me. The plot twist had me heartbroken, without giving away any spoilers.

Do not snooze on this book, you'll not regret giving it a go.

an absolute must read!!!!

This book was absolutely amazing, absolutely a 5 star. Where do I even begin? First off you’re going to get angry at Lucy during many points of this book then you’ll forgive her all for her to turn around and make you mad again. The amount of everything she packed into this book was astounding and not overwhelming. So well written, the characters, the world building, the bonds that formed, and the enemies that make you want to climb into the book and end them yourselves. Thank you so much and I’m so ready for part three
