Gale Frye was a monster long before the experiments began—torturer, killer, pure evil without reason or remorse.
Sentenced to death, he disappears into the hands of a secret corporation. Their lead scientist, desperate to prove her new serum, uses Frye as her human test subject.
The result? Unthinkable.
Frye transforms—his skin turning to scales, his teeth to razors, his hunger to something inhuman. Stronger. Faster. Smarter. And thirsty for blood.
When he escapes, the hunters become the hunted. Because Gale Frye isn’t a man anymore. He’s FLESH EATER.

I don't know if it was intentional, but the novel is very predictable. No surprises and certainly no plot twists. I've read other books by this author and this is par for the course. Very "creature from the black lagoon" like in its essence, with a dash of mad scientist in the mix. Entertaining without being good. If you like, violent, gory monster stories, this is for you.
Flesh Eater was another outstanding icky bug. Full of a great cast of victims, it was short, to the point, and had non-stop action. I’m not surprised this one ended with the usual “what if.” I had a great time and highly recommend it.
Very good & gory horror that kept me on the edge of my seat. The perfect creature feature for those that love classic & modern horror. Very interesting from beginning to end. Loved it!🤗
