I actually got the chance to be a beta reader for The Price of Forever by E.S.A Pathan (aka Eraj), and seeing the final version honestly blew me away! Even from the early drafts, Xavier’s story was gripping, but the polished book takes everything to a whole new level.
Xavier’s world—a quiet UK town with secrets and subtle supernatural threads—is so immersive. His bond with Gracie is heart-wrenching and beautifully written, and the hints about his past and recurring dreams kept me on edge the whole time.
The pacing is perfect, mixing emotional depth with suspense. The transition from the normal town to the magical kingdom of Elyndor feels seamless, and the story never loses its tension or charm.
E.S.A Pathan shows incredible skill, especially for someone so young. The book is heartfelt, thrilling, and genuinely memorable. If you love YA fantasy with mystery, supernatural elements, and characters you truly care about, The Price of Forever is a must-read!

Loved this book! The descriptions were beautiful and creative, and I love the world of Elyndor (not sure if I spelled that right). The Price of Forever is a fun read that fans of Harry Potter are certain to enjoy.

Not many books can make me cry. I can count on one hand the amount of books that have made me cry, and this is one. Gracie!!
On a brighter note, Xander and Raena!! Love them together, can’t wait for more!
Kaido may be my favorite character. He’s fun and a bit mischievous but may be the smartest of them all.

One of the things I appreciated most about The Price of Forever is its central idea: in this world, magic isn’t child’s play—it comes with a real cost. That concept immediately sets the tone and makes the story feel grounded, serious, and meaningful from the very beginning.
One character who stood out to me the most is Kaido Kojishi. He’s mysterious, complex, and quietly compelling. His relationship with Raena Starseeker adds an extra layer of intrigue to the story. Although they aren’t actual siblings, Raena treats Kaido with genuine kindness and openly considers him her little brother. Yet Kaido refuses to see her as an older sister, and that refusal feels intentional, hinting at a deeper emotional conflict tied to his past or his nature.
That unspoken tension makes Kaido even more fascinating and left me genuinely wanting to know more about him—especially the mystery behind why he keeps that emotional distance from someone who clearly cares for him.
Overall, The Price of Forever is the kind of book that makes you stop and reflect. It respects its readers, takes its magic seriously, and delivers a story with real heart and consequences. A truly great read, and one I would highly recommend.
