surprisingly unsettling and quite creepy. my dad gave me this book and I have no idea where he got it from. I really can’t specify what exactly in this book scared me so much, but I remember only reading it during the day because of how creeped out I was. during the time I read it, I also had an entire apartment to myself, so that didn’t help.
I definitely do believe events like this are possible, and I never want to encounter anything like it. the detail in this book, and the drawings, and the letters left me speechless. the fact that the author changed her name and her family’s names makes me believe even more for some reason. I can see why skeptics would tear this apart, but for me it seemed real enough. and if it’s not, it’s very well crafted.
