A Sapphic Family’s Guide to Christmas

Rate this book
Tiffany and Brooke Finnegan have one goal - get their daughters back home for Christmas. Unfortunately, an accident and a snowstorm keep that from happening.

Lucky for them, the town doctor, Brinley Finch, has space in her home for all of them. What makes the whole situation even better? Tiffany and Brooke’s daughter, Sierra, might be falling for Brinley and Annalise’s daughter, Ellie.

The only thing making this arrangement slightly awkward is the fact that Brinley and Annalise once had a threesome with Tiffany. Lucky for their daughters, that little detail isn’t enough to keep them from playing matchmakers.

“A Sapphic Family’s Guide to Christmas” is a spin-off to “A Lesbian’s Guide to Women,” “11:59,” and “Racing Hearts.” The events of this story take place in the same timeline as “Racing Hearts” with an added bonus at the end that you don’t want to miss!

A beautiful love story at Christmas!

Ellie Finch and Sierra Finnegan are rivals on the same track team. When Sierra's twin sister Sienna breaks her ankle during a blizzard after their 1st track meet. The Finches invite the Finnegan's to stay with them during the blizzard. This is when the rivalry changes.
Such a sweet love story between the two girls and the love all their moms have for one another. It was nice revisiting Annalise, Brinley, Tiffany and Brooke too! I LOVE THIS STORY! A FAVORITE!

I loved to finally read a book written by the author where the focus is on the more mature generation. We revisit Annalise and Brinley from A Lesbian's Guide to Women, Ellie’s moms, and Tiffany and Brooke from 11:59, Sierra’s moms. They are now all pushing sixty so a wonderful age, but they show they still got it even if not quite as wild as they used to be in their 20s.

In Racing Hearts, we could read about how Ellie and Sierra struggled to get along until they are forced to spend a few days together after Sierra and her family gets stuck because of a snowstorm close to Christmas. Then we wondered what their parents up to when they were outdoors shuffling snow, that is what this book is about. I can tell you straight out no repeat of the Fucket list but something sweet and with amazing Christmas vibes.

A bit awkward at first when Tiffany realizes where she recognizes Brinley and Annalise, that she has seen much, much more of them. They get passed that and start getting to know each other and realize they must start plotting on how to get their daughters together. They really like each other but seem to need this extra push from their parents and Sierra’s sister Sienna, operation reverse Parent Trap starts.

If you have read the other connected books, this book is the perfect wrap-up and on top you get this amazing Christmas feeling that we all crave this time of the year.

“A Mom Centric Christmas Bonus”

Here we have a talented writer who has taken to writing a Bonus holiday story to the “ A Lesbian Guide To Women”. The story itself was written with such love, humor and respect to two mom families. But it also reminded us what we did with our own parents when we were these ages. It was enjoyable and sentimental to see where both families have grown. Mostly a huge respect goes to Erica for penning this during her own struggle with her Mom passing. A must read for so many reasons.

What an amazing gift for Christmas to bring together two families and let them conspire together to get their children to take the leap to be together.

I loved Christmas and I loved this book so much. Like all my favourite Christmas movies and books this is one I will be revisiting every holiday season.

repetitive, but interesting.

As soon as I realized the two older couples in the story were from two different books that I never finished, (for reasons I won't mention here) I wondered if I would finish this one.

It was a cute story. I found myself skimming through most of it just so I could see what happened with Ellie and Sierra. I'm glad I (kinda) finishfinished this one.

So cute.

What a fun way to continue this romance with Ellie and Sierra, taking it from the parent perspective and getting the added bonus of how Brinnley, Annalise, and Tiffany knew each other. This was very cute and worth the read.

Different perspective...

On a good love story. The added bonus is we get caught up on some of the relationships we love. Now if we can just have the grandkids wind up linking them to the Miller-Cooper clan it would link my favorite families.

After reading the first two books in this series, I was excited to read this. However, I just couldn't get into it like I did with the others. What I did read was a bit lacklustre. The writing was just as good but I just couln't get into the storyline as much, which was a huge shame!
