Sometimes when I look back, I find it marvellous how life has played a series of rounds with me and made me go through a number of emotions which I'd never thought I'd go through. Everything in life seems like a number of dots, or I should just say, well-connected dots. My life path could just have been completely different, if any one of those dots was missing or connected to some other dot in a different way. Now, everything just seems to be making all the sense in the world to me. I guess this is just a part of my life. "Chasing My Vision - Bollywood Dreams" is Inspired by Sunny's true story and his actual vision. Sunny goes to Melbourne, Australia for higher studies when he's only 17. An incident in Melbourne make him realise his vision of becoming an actor in Bollywood. He starts chasing his vision with his full heart and gives up everything he's had to reach his goals. Will he be able to achieve his Dreams, his Passion, his Vision? Come along with him on his exciting Journey of struggle, hard work and perseverance where he'll take you on a ride from roads of Melbourne in Australia to Streets of Bollywood in Mumbai and find out if he can achieve his Vision.

A very honest and heart warming book about giving all you have for what you want. Really well written, and nicely created sense of imagery throughout the whole story - I felt like I was there following Sunny's character from start to end.
A definite must read for everyone who likes a solid story, enjoys a bunch of interesting characters and has a sense of style and humour.

Will he give up on his dreams or keep chasing his vision?
A dream to become an Actor in Bollywood is a dream of millions of people out there. This book provides an insight on what an individual goes through in his journey to achieve his vision of becoming an Actor, in Bollywood.
A young man, Sunny travels to Australia from India for his higher studies unknowing what fate has stored for his future.
In Melbourne, Australia, he comes across Eric Bana - famous Hollywood Superstar. Something at that particular moment ignites a spark within Sunny saying he wants to become an Actor, in Bollywood!
He does what is required and travels back to India to pursue his vision. Little did he know, life isn’t that fair and things just don’t come that easy. He comes across life which isn’t visible behind the glamour and fame of movie industry. He gets dejected and gets lost in despair.

This is the 3rd book that i read by the author. His writing style is raw, conversational, the vocab is pretty simple and the story fast paced and relatable.
Like the other two books, the things discussed here are realistic and inspiring especially for beginner level or young readers.
Travelling abroad for higher studies is so so common these days, I feel a lot of young readers can relate to the struggle & other emotions. In addition, having bollywood dreams is another career, youngsters drool for. This story will give them a reality check and reiterate that life is not a bed of roses and you have to work very hard for achieving your dreams and kick yourself up, every single time you fall. A good read.

The title is the first thing that caught my attention even though the book cover is really curious.
Its a story about every individual trying their luck in Bollywood, this novel aimed at struggles faced by an outsider in Indian film industry, following their dreams, not losing hope after many rejections, is a real page turner.
Through the character of Sunny, the author has tried to motivate the readers and the way the author has associated the concept of self-help with a story is commendable.
The flawless storyline and honest characterisation make this book a smooth ride. The story is plotted and narrated very well. Though the story is simple, the realistic and precise representation of the events and the characters leaves an impact on the reader’s mind. Simple and coherent.
Language makes it an easy read.

This story isn't simply a story of an individual who needs to make his way in Bollywood. Bright's life will show us every one of the significant viewpoints that one ought to gain and comprehend from life. Having vision means picturing in your mind what it will be like and how you will achieve it and build upon it.
This is a very encouraging and revealing book about how the author approaches his dream of becoming an actor with lots of ups and downs he never gave up. It includes all the first-hand experiences of struggles, getting into acting college also the pains he endured during his journey.
In this book we’re encouraged to dare to claim the dreams we have in life so they will provide the energy we need to achieve those dreams.
It’s a good read, and I found myself thinking about applications to my life.
If you or someone you love loves acting or wants to get into bollywood or just needs encouragement to follow a dream, this book is for you or them.

Chasing My Vision : Bollywood Dreams by Sunny Makar was an amazing read, you get the idea of the content inside by the title of the book.
Our protagonist is Sunny, a passionate and driven guy who’s hustling to become an actor, Bollywood as it is, is a brutal industry and on top of the normal hustle Sunny has had to move from Australia to Mumbai. The challenges that await him are countless but he’s ready to face them all.
Mumbai is filled with thousands of Sunnys’ and to stand out is a far fetched dream and the odds of that happening are very very low. Will he make it or will he succumb like almost everyone does? Read the book to find out.
I can vouch that you’ll enjoy reading the book, the writing style is entertaining as well as engaging and language too is easily to comprehend. All in all a it’s a good book.

Life is beautiful, accept that happens to you as part of it. This line of the synopsis attracted me the most. Trying new authors was a very good idea. The variety of genres and different stories are a very good start to a reading year.
It's a very inspirational book with a good plot. Loved the narration the language is simple and good for beginners. Straightforward plot and captivating.
It was a very important lesson of 2022 that we should never give up on our dreams no matter what. Life will be difficult and we have to work twice as hard to achieve every single goal and keep trying. This book is about a guy who comes to Mumbai from Australia in order to become a movie star. The book has a good pace but could have been better

The book is not just about a person's struggle to get break in Bollywood industry, it is of following your passion dedicatedly.
Though we all are facinated by the limelight of bollywood we hardly know what goes inside the bollywood and how tough it is for a outsider to enter the Bollywood.
This book takes you to one such journey!!

Chasing my vision is the story of Sunny, who travels to a totally different country to pursue his dream, of becoming a Bollywood star. Then he meets Eric, a Hollywood actor who helps him on his journey. But what will be the outcome of the journey? To find out, you have to read the book. Recommendable.
