I LOVE this book for so many reasons. If, like me, you love magazines like Victoria or Romantic Homes or Romantic Country, this book will appeal to you. It's full of romantic settings with white furniture, white wicker, white lace and linens, quilts, teacups, roses, old teddy bears and dolls, chintz, and charming tablescapes and rooms. One of my prize possessions is one of Anita's gorgeous one-of-a-kind mohair bears, similar to the one pictured on page 143. I thumb through this book often for inspiration and highly recommend it to those interested in the romantic look of yesteryear.

This is the worst decorating book I have ever seen. The pictures repeat over and over. 3 or 4 of the same junk. This book is full of junk. This home could be a junk store. I love and know Victorian, and this is no Victorian. I don't think a picnic basket from 1970 really qualifies. Who would live here? The queen of junk, that's who. This is awful. Huge and heavy book with nothing in it. There was nothing in this book I liked.
