A quick read, but this is much appreciated because the author is succinct and to the point. I have lead a volunteer group for nine years and I wish I had had this book when I started, it would have made things much easier for me.
The author has sterling credentials, he was a winner of the Smart CEO Top Ten CFOs in the Washington DC, Virginia, and Baltimore area. He consults with Washington area entrepeneurs and CEOs in acheiving strategic grwth and acheiving maximum valuations.
There are more credentials, but I would rather say that the book was well organized, each chapter looking at another aspect of leadership, presented in a clear and useful way. I enjoyed the book much more than I had expected, it keeps the subject interesting and practical. I've read a number of books on leadership, this one stands out above the rest. It's definitely a "good read".
