The TeeNick block, featuring Zoey 101, is must-watch, must-TIVO, must-discuss viewing for tweens.
Zoey Brooks and her friends Quinn and Lola are among the first girls to attend Pacific Coast Academy. The classes are tough, but getting the boys to accept them is even tougher! But there's lots of sunshine, good times and good friends to go around. And that's what it's all about, right? A brand new novel based on two episodes from the hit TV show.
Jane B. Mason grew up in a large family in northern Minnesota. She has written books for kids of all ages under many names and on many subjects, among them ghosts, Jedi, detective duos, princesses, twins, mean girls, and slam books.
Jane has lived in the midwest and on both coasts, but appears to have settled in Oakland, California, and writes almost every day at either a friend's dining room table or a little studio in her back yard, where she has a purple loveseat, a whole lotta books, and an odd selection of trinkets she has unwittingly been collecting since she was a child.
I grew up with this show and while I was reading it I was geeking out.
Cover It's really what you would expect from this series. Zoey, Nichole, Chase and Michael. While using a different picture of Nichole and Zoey on the back. The title is interesting. Titled back to normal while being a call back to Season 2 episode 1 and 2 Back to CPA and Time Capsule. (They tie the title, Back to Normal, pretty well into the story.)
Interior Story Even after all these years I could see and picture a good portion of the scenes and moments. (I loved the show growing up.) They adapted the story well. I really enjoyed reading it. Everything in the book has this lighthearted feel to it felt really good to read. Only a couple of the joke really nailed it a big laugh. But it isn't as much about comedy as it is a somewhat relatable (yet extreme) drama like every other show out there. I do find that it has the down to earth genuine feel to it.
After Thought Victoria Justice aka (Lola Martinez) is introduced into this book as Zoey and Nichole's new roommate who wants to grow up to become an actress. It’s nice to see that she has had a consistent career since the close of the show. Granted she isn’t the only one to get an impressive list of roles since ‘08. Erin Sanders aka (Quinn Pensky) has also had quite a resume.
This book is about Zoey and her friends going back to PCA for another school year. But Zoey and Nicole are so excited because they get their room all to themselves! They soon run into many problems with their new roommate Lola. After everything is sorted out, the guys are enjoying reading an old yearbook from years ago. Then Zoey comes up with an amazing idea to create a time capsule. As everybody is preparing for the day they give their chosen item, Chase still wants to know what Zoey said about him in her video. Soon enough, Chase learns that not knowing something could be the best for him and everybody else.
I picked up this book because I used to love watching Zoey 101 so I was interested in reading it and it is more detailed in the book so I like the books more. I finished this book because I love Zoey 101 series. They are always so entertaining and full of adventure. I love everything that happens in this book so I will read more.
I would recommend this book to teenagers because they characters are also teenagers so we can relate to them and find something in common. The events that happen in the book can be related to a teens life because I can relate to it and I know so many others can too!
Overall, I love reading Zoey 101 books so I will keep reading them and many people should read it.
