The Kids of the Polk Street School #16

Wake Up, Emily, It's Mother's Day

Rate this book
Oh, no! Mother's Day is almost here and Emily Arrow's plans are a mess. She can't think of a good present. Even the marigold she planted at school won't grow. How can she give her mother an old milk carton full of dirt?

Luckily Emily gets the best Mother's Day idea in the world. It's simple too. All she needs is a little help from Linda Lorca.

But two days before Mother's Day...is there still time?

I was having high hopes for this book. Don't ask, I just found it at home and decided to indulge. The semantics and attitudes and vibes are a little negative in tone, not the best book for you to read in appreciation of Mother's Day. Many things go awry in this book, it just seemed a wee-bit dry and bland. I'm glad I read it, but I promise, I WON'T do it again.
