THE BLUE CABIN is a slow burn with a twist that creeps up on you… Ruby Jones built her life around being seen. Every word, every photo, every perfectly filtered moment—crafted for an audience that believed they knew her. So when she is invited to a remote cabin to create some new content for her online followers, it’s just another story to tell. But the quiet doesn’t stay quiet. The walls creak like they’re listening. Her host, Lottie, seems to know too much. And in the stillness of the meadow, the past Ruby survived offline begins to claw its way back—whispering through the floorboards, haunting her dreams, and demanding to be seen. As her online world fades and the real one fractures, Ruby can’t tell if she’s documenting a new story… or being written into one. Some places remind you of what you’d rather forget. And The Blue Cabin remembers everything.
The Blue Cabin pulled me in from the very first page and kept me hooked until the end. Kellie Anderson has a real gift for vivid description — her writing paints scenes so clearly that you feel as though you’re right there, watching the story unfold. The pacing was excellent, with just the right balance of tension and emotion to keep me turning the pages.
The story itself felt fresh and original, with twists that genuinely surprised me and an ending that was both exciting and satisfying. For a first novel, it’s remarkably well-crafted and leaves me eager to see what she writes next.
If you enjoy thrillers with strong atmosphere, great character depth, and a story that keeps you guessing, I highly recommend The Blue Cabin.
