Kate was my mom and yes she did raise chickens in half of our house. Broilers to be more specific, a broiler factory.
The collection of Short Stories here are actual experiences from my life. And in 80 years you can acquire a bunch of them from Polio at age four to Expo 67 and many stops in between including combat experience during the Korean War while serving in the 40th Infantry Division.
Where were you when Sputnik 1 made its first trip around the world on October 4, 1957?
Follow along as the local Veterinarian performs surgery on my father’s right wrist to reattach tendons that were severed in an auto accident. In 1932 experimental tendon surgery was reserved for dogs.
