But when she takes on a quest to save a forgotten kingdom and it's surviving prince, she has to travel to a border town to find proof that the kingdom no one else remembers is real. Drakenholt has been erased from memory and Prince Renwick Ravelle is cursed. His name, legacy, and his dragon soul are being erased, vanishing page by page. If Dessa accepts her quest, she must find Ren before the Story Thief erases him forever. Ren stirs a longing in her she didn't expect. This novella is a prequel to an upcoming series. This was a quick, fun read that drew me in keeping me hooked from page one. I reached the end long before I was ready and am now eager for the rest of the series. This book was well-written with wonderful characters and a plot that's very fast-paced. I loved this captivating story. I haven't read anything by Michelle Miles before, but Misty Evans is one of my favorite authors. You can absolutely count on her to pen a story that will pull you in and help you escape. I highly recommend this book.

This fantasy series kicks off with an exciting start, and it’s hard not to wonder where the story will lead. Dessalyn sets out on a quest, initially joined by her sister, but circumstances force her sister to return home, leaving Dessalyn to continue alone. Her mission is to save not only Renwick, but their entire realm, and to defeat the Story Thief. Renwick, prince of the first kingdom to fade as his tale is rewritten, joins forces with her, and together they realize it will take both of them—and a great sacrifice—to succeed. When Renwick begins to fade, Dessalyn knows she must take drastic action to save him. Will she succeed?

They have a Story Thief she is trying to stop from erasing people and kingdoms.
Can she achieve her quest to help The Prince ?

This book has suspense, intrigue and paranormal.

‘This is my quest. To save the stories.’

When I started book one of the Legends of the Five Crowns I felt like I was missing out on something and I was right. The prequel novella is a must read to introduce yourself to the complex world and happenings of this series. Full of action and highly enjoyable!

This is a new author to me. I enjoyed this novella which sets up for more magic, dragons and saving stories from the story Thief. Dessalyn is waiting for her fated quest. Renwick rules the Drakenwold's Kingdom which time is erasing. Dessalyn sets out on this quest to help Renwick. Can they save the kingdom in time?

I'm so glad I read this beginning to the five grand series and an excited th read the next ones as they appear!
Strong female protagonist, fierce male lead, dragons, princes and curses! Buckle up!

This is a novella that introduces the series. This was a very interesting story. There is a story their who is erasing stories-kingdoms and all who are in them, but there is Dess who remembers and it is her quest to save them before it happens to all. Very interesting!!
