For those not familiar with this series, Sam Firecloud is able to communicate with the spirit of a person who has died and for some reason hasn’t moved on from this life to the next, essentially hanging around and, for lack of a better term, haunting people in this world. Typically there is a reason for this which needs to be resolved. With his partner, Lacey Fitzpatrick, Sam is called on to help understand and resolve these issues so the spirit can move on.

In some ways, this book is like the others in the series, at least at the high level above. But there is also a second major story thread which, while related to the main story thread, is presented in a different way. I won’t go into more detail to avoid spoilers, but will say that I was eager to figure out how both threads were going to resolve and was kept guessing and engaged in both parts of the story to the end.

Lacey and Sam are lucky enough to have a case close to home. When a writer has some "manifestations " he calls in our duo. This is a rather different and difficult case. Haunting in more than one way.
I could not stop reading till the very end. Super addition to the series.

We are never really gone

Betrayal even after one is gone, is a much worse betrayal. Very well written, insightful book. I love this series and often think how could the next book top this one. Please never run out of " walks" for Sam and Lacey. Will eagerly await the next book!

Great !

This book was really outstanding! An author asks for Sam & Lacey’s help. There’s a story within a story that plays out as Sam tries to figure out how to help a restless spirit. I have really enjoyed all the books in this series and am looking forward to the next one.

Author Walk

Another great book that I had been waiting for. I like that Sam has found another way to communicate with the spirits. I look forward to seeing him, Lacey and the kids grow more in their talents. Bravo Ms. Bowersock!

Love this series
Sam has added automatic writing to the tools of his trade. It comes in handy in this case as a deceased author has cause for revenge for her work being stolen.
Wonderful quick read leaving me wanting more.

Would like to see what happened next

This was a good read but I thought the ending was a bit abrupt. It would have been nice to see what happened after the message was sent to her cousin.

Great stories

I enjoyed all 47 books. Loved the charectors and the family dynamics. Each story is unique and well written. I liked all the references to the Navajo culture and the making of pottery. All of which, enhance the stories.. Give us more!
