Absolutely loved this book - It made me smile so much.
Love On Sight covered a lot of topics including drugs, love, street life, friendships, family ties, family values, culture.
The character growth was insane. Really showed a love story between Jalaal (road man) & Sabrina who has her life all together and planned out.
Sabrina really was judgemental at first but then she really inspired him to change & be a better person for himself & his family. She has really good friends who supported her through everything. Just proves to show how important strong friendships are.
Jalaal on the other hand didn’t have good friends, only the guy he worked with who encouraged him to do better.
Towards the end of the book I was teary. I loved the conversation with Jalaal & Shah, it showed growth & also survival. Jalaal finally realising what he needed to do.
I loved how the culture difference was explored & was the main theme to the story. This is so relevant in this day & age as so many people are trying to break the traditions that were set up a long time ago.
As much as this book is 5 stars for me, I really wish we had more towards the end about what happened when Jalaal told his aunt about Sabrina.
Looking forward to more work by Asli in the future. A great writer & storyteller.
